It was this sweet, short little video that made me believe it was okay to love and enjoy dolls as an adult, even though everyone around me thought it was weird. So... I did a thing!
When I originally brought this adorable reborn baby into my collection, she was a 3D artistic representation of the little girl I so wanted but would never get to have. Over time, I made peace with being child free, and as I did so, I wanted to separate this beautiful doll from that identity. So I tried him as a boy. I enjoyed him very much in that role. But somehow, putting this doll and my very boyish new arrival, Jack, side by side brought out the feminine side of this little darling again. Now I can fully embrace her as a girl, free from the weight of any representation of unfulfilled dreams.

Meet little Miss Lulu! She and I have been getting to know each other while she explores this very big human world!
First she wanted to pet my kitty Benson. She was a little wary, but also full of wonder!
Then when he started moving, she decided she needed some space, so she climbed up on the throw pillow on my bed.
Soon it was time for a diaper change. She's very aware of everything I do when I care for her.
I took too long, though, and she was getting up and toddling off with her little tummy hanging out before I could get her snapped up again.
She hopped over to my nightstand, and when I opened the top drawer, in went her little hand! She found a dress she just had to wear! This girl has zero cares about how cold it is when picking her clothes. I can't figure out if she doesn't feel the cold or just doesn't care, or what.
I said yes to the princess dress, though, and once she had it on, she insisted I turn on the lamp so she could sit in the halo of light like the little princess she is!

That moment when you reweight one of your reborn dolls and discover it's filled, not with glass beads, but with sand and plastic pellets, creating an unusually messy combination! I know that lots of people do this to cut costs, but I so wish there was a test to find out what is inside a doll before opening them up!
