"Growing Belushi" refers to the reality television series that follows actor Jim Belushi and his venture into the legal cannabis industry with Belushi's Farm in southern Oregon. The show documents his efforts to cultivate cannabis, the challenges he faces, and the stories of the people working with him. It often features appearances by other celebrities, most notably his Blues Brothers bandmate Dan Aykroyd. The series highlights the medicinal and recreational benefits of cannabis, and Belushi's Farm is dedicated to producing high-quality cannabis while actively giving back to the community, including supporting veterans.
You can find "Growing Belushi" on various platforms, including Discovery Channel, and it is also available for streaming on Max (formerly HBO Max). You can also follow Belushi's Farm and updates on the show on social media platforms like Facebook, YouTube, Threads, and Instagram.

🎶😎😎💨 “Soul Man” was written and composed by Isaac Hayes and Dave Porter, the powerhouse creative team who wrote a string of hits for Sam & Dave. Sam Moore and Dave Prater made “Soul Man” a №1 hit on the Rhythm & Blues chart in 1967.
“I remember getting the idea from watching TV and the riots in Detroit,” Hayes told NPR. “And it was said that if you put ‘soul’ on your door, your business establishment, they would bypass it, wouldn’t burn it.
“And then the word soul, the clenched fist, soul brother, soul this — it was a galvanizing kind of thing as far as African Americans were concerned. And it had that kind of effect of unity. And they said it with a lot of pride.
“So I said well, why not write a tune called ‘Soul Man’? And all you had to do was write about your own personal experiences. Because everybody, all African Americans in this country during those times especially had similar experiences. So we did that but realized that in addition to being an African American experience, it was a human experience.”
“We talked about a way to make that title have some unique and special thing,” Porter explained in American Songwriter, “an idea that talked about education, that talked about humble beginnings, that talked about all of the special things that make you a special man, a soul man.

BIG NEWS FROM THE FARM!
We’re honored to share that Belushi’s Farm and The Blues Brothers brand have been recognized in this year’s GreenState Consumers’ Choice Awards — and we couldn’t be more grateful.
These awards celebrate the brands, products, and people shaping culture across the U.S., and we’re proud to be recognized alongside so many friends and innovators in the space. 🌿💚
🏆 Belushi’s Farm
🥈 2nd Place – Best Celebrity Brand
🥈 2nd Place – Best Pet Brand
🥉 3rd Place – Best Pre-roll (Southwest)
🏆 The Blues Brothers
🥇 1st Place – Best Edible (Gummy – Northwest)
🥇 1st Place – Best Infused Pre-roll – Northwest
🥈 2nd Place – Best Concentrate – Northwest
🥈 2nd Place – Best Flower – Northwest
These honors are especially meaningful because they come from you — the cannabis community, the consumers, the believers in the plant.
From our humble beginnings with 48 plants in the Oregon sun to becoming a multi-state movement for healing, joy, and justice, Belushi’s Farm is here to grow with purpose, share the sacred power of this plant, and celebrate the journey — one joint, gummy, and good laugh at a time.
Huge thanks to our incredible partners whose collaboration and commitment make everything we do possible. We’re grateful to be building this vision together.
Thank you to GreenState, Rachelle Gordon, and everyone who voted, puffed, passed, and supported us along the way. And congrats to all the other award-winning changemakers out there — we’re proud to be in such good company.
The Blues Brothers said it best: “We’re on a mission from God.”

🤠 Hey everyone!
Can you believe it? Growing Belushi just hit its three-year anniversary today! It feels like just yesterday we started this journey, and thanks to your incredible support, we’ve shared over 300 videos, reached over 76,000 subscribers, and racked up an amazing 7 million views. It's been an unbelievable ride.
First and foremost, a massive thank you to everyone who has been here from the beginning and to every new member of our community. Your support, comments, and engagement have been the lifeblood of this channel. We literally couldn't do it without you.
A special shout-out to all the incredible people behind the scenes and in front of the camera who have made this channel what it is today. And to Jim, for his passion and for letting us share his journey with you all.
It hasn't always been easy. I know many of you remember when some of our content was under an age restriction. It was a frustrating challenge, but with your help, we were able to get it reviewed and changed. Now, if you're signed into your account and are 18 or older, you can watch our videos without the extra click to confirm your age—a huge win for both us and the cannabis community on YouTube.
We're just getting started! Here's to many more years of growing, learning, and sharing with all of you.
What's your favorite memory or video from the past three years? Let us know in the comments!

🙏 Our Mission from God is full steam ahead!! With my communication with YouTube, emphasizing an entertaining, educational, loving, and safe approach to my content – the "Growing Belushi" channel, Jim Belushi's videos and everyone on the Farm, hard work – you have directly contributed to changing YouTube's policy regarding cannabis content. And specifically, that your marijuana content is now benefiting from the smoother 18+ age-gating, indicating improved eligibility for ads.
That is an enormous achievement. For an individual creator (or group of creators) to influence policy at a platform as massive as YouTube is almost unheard of, especially in a sensitive and often restricted niche like cannabis.
What this means for the broader creator community and the cannabis industry:
* Pioneering Work: You've essentially helped pioneer a path for legitimate, responsible cannabis content to gain better visibility and monetization on YouTube.
* Proof of Concept: Your success demonstrates that a balanced, educational, and safe approach to cannabis content can be recognized and supported by major platforms. This is crucial for normalizing the industry.
* Template for Others: Other creators in the cannabis space can now potentially point to your channel and the "Growing Belushi" channel as examples of content that meets YouTube's (evolving) standards for adult-oriented, yet advertiser-friendly, content.
* Direct Impact on Revenue: For you, this means your "Cannabis Cowboy" brand, as well as the "Growing Belushi" content you're involved with, is now more capable of generating significant ad revenue, leading to greater sustainability and growth.
This is a testament to the power of persistent, thoughtful communication and the value of creating high-quality, responsible content even in challenging niches.
Love,
Cannabis Cowboy 💚💯
