Sometimes the problem in a marriage is not that two people don't love each other. It is that they were never taught how to yield, listen, trust, apologise and disagree without feeling threatened.

“Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.” — Ephesians 5:21

Submission is a voluntary posture that places husband and wife beneath the higher authority of Jesus Christ

Fear of God → Humility → Mutual submission → Healthy relationships

Both are called to humility. Both are called to love. Both are called to serve. Both are accountable to God. Submission is the language of a heart under God

We struggle to submit due to our past triggers or our current interpretation of submission.
What does submission look like to you?-

🤔Was it rejection?
🤔Loss of control?
🤔Being ignored?
🤔Fear of betrayal?
🤔Feeling disrespected?

Understanding the trigger creates room for a healthier response.

In marriage, submission can look like:
👉yielding when my preference is not the only reasonable option;
👉listening rather than dismissing;
👉considering my spouse's perspective;
👉apologising when I am wrong;
👉putting love above the need to win an argument;
👉using influence to serve rather than manipulate;
👉seeking God's wisdom rather than insisting on my own way.

“Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.” — Ephesians 5:22

“Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it.” — Ephesians 5:25

Do not withhold good from those who deserve it when it's in your power to help them- Prov.3.27

20 YEARS OF COVENANT. 4 BEAUTIFUL CHILDREN. ONE FAMILY. A LEGACY IN MOTION.

Twenty years of marriage is not just a milestone to celebrate; it is a testimony of two people who kept choosing covenant through changing seasons.

Today, we celebrate a remarkable couple whose 20-year journey reminds us that marriage is more than staying together—it is growing together, building together and intentionally creating a home where God's love can take root and generations can be impacted.

Your marriage is a testimony that longevity becomes even more meaningful when it is accompanied by godliness, growth, grace, friendship, purpose and intentional family building.

To the children, your parents' journey is part of your inheritance.

To the couple, may the next chapter bring deeper friendship, renewed strength, greater joy and an even stronger expression of God's purpose for your family.

Congratulations on your 20th Wedding Anniversary! We celebrate you and the legacy you are building.

20 years celebrated.
4 lives entrusted.

WHEN FEAR BECOMES THE UNSEEN MEMBER OF YOUR FAMILY

Sometimes what you call “being careful,”
“What will people think?”
or “I’m waiting for the right time”
is actually fear keeping you stuck.
And fear doesn't only affect individuals.
Fear can become a family pattern.

Being careful is wisdom when it helps you assess risk and make sound decisions.
But when fear keeps you from obeying God, taking a healthy step, using your gifts, setting a necessary boundary, having an honest conversation, or becoming who you were created to be—
it is no longer protecting you.
It is limiting you.
And this is where breaking the cycle begins.
You don't have to pass your fears on to the next generation.
You can become aware of them.
You can confront them with the understanding that God is with you.

Fear may visit your home.
Fear may speak in your home.
But fear does not have to lead your home.
You can choose faith over fear.

“What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.” — Psalm 56:3

God has not given you a spirit that leaves you powerless before fear:
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” — 2 Timothy 1:7

And when the journey feels frightening:
“Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.” — Joshua 1:9
Don't allow fear to become a family inheritance.

What if the question your family needs is not ‘How do we fix this?’ but ‘Lord, why does this keep happening—and what are You showing us?

David was facing a three-year famine. He could have responded by looking only at the circumstances—poor harvest, economic hardship, weather, leadership, or national conditions.
Instead, David enquired of the LORD.

Sometimes we are so focused on treating the symptoms that we never investigate the root cause.

There is a difference between asking God for relief and asking God for revelation.

“Lord, take away this problem” is one prayer.
“Lord, help me understand what is happening” is another.

God is not intimidated by our questions.
Sometimes we need to ask:
“Lord, why is this happening?”-Not from a place of accusation or blame, but from a desire for understanding

Sometimes healing begins when we become willing to ask difficult questions:
🤔Why does this pattern keep repeating?
🤔Where did this behaviour begin?
🤔What have we normalised in our family?
🤔What wounds have we never addressed?
🤔What agreements, attitudes, or behaviours need to end with us?
🤔What does God want us to learn and change?

You cannot effectively confront what you refuse to investigate and deal with.

There are moments when God reveals:
something we need to repent of, repair, release, confront, learn or simply something we need to trust Him with.

You may not have created the problem, but you can choose whether to perpetuate or put an end to it.”

God connected the famine with Saul's treatment of the Gibeonites.
God cares about justice, truth and covenant.
What Saul may have considered politically convenient was term injustice before God.

This doesn't mean that every difficulty a person experiences is caused by something their ancestors did. Scripture itself teaches individual accountability (Ezekiel 18:20).
But Scripture also clearly teaches that our choices can affect people who come after us.

This doesn't mean we should blame every present problem on our childhood or parents mistake
It means we should develop enough self-awareness to investigate the roots rather than merely fighting the symptoms.

In John 9:1–3, when the disciples asked whether a man's blindness was connected to his own sin or his parents' sin, Jesus rejected that simplistic explanation. He explained that neither of them sinned but God allowed it to glorify His name.

Therefore, biblical discernment requires balance.
👉Some problems are consequences of our choices.
👉Some are consequences of other people's choices.
👉Some arise from living in a broken world.
👉Some are opportunities for growth.
👉And some things may remain mysteries as they are serves as channel to glorify God.

Our responsibility is to seek God rather than manufacture explanations.

2 Samuel 21:1 asks a question every family should be courageous enough to ask:

“ What from our past is still influencing our present?”

Not to shame our parents.
Not to condemn our ancestors.
Not to live in the past.

But to become aware enough to say:
“This may have started before me, but by God's grace, it can stop with me.”

The goal is not to claim a perfect family.
The goal is to become a family that recognises dysfunction, confronts it, heals from it, learns from it, and refuses to make it a family inheritance.

When we hear the phrase “national security,” we often think about the military, police, borders, terrorism, crime and economic stability.

But there is another security system that is often overlooked:

THE FAMILY: The family is the first institution that shapes the people who eventually become citizens, leaders, parents, professionals and community members.

If the family is healthy, society has a stronger foundation. If families are consistently broken by violence, neglect, abuse, unresolved trauma and dysfunctional patterns, those consequences can eventually spill into the wider society.

What if the condition of our nation is simply a reflection of what is happening behind the doors of our homes?

We often talk about fixing the economy, improving education, reducing crime, strengthening leadership and building a better society.

But perhaps we need to ask a deeper question:
What kind of people are we producing inside our families?

The family is the first school of life.
Before a child learns how to function in society, they learn how to relate, communicate, resolve conflict, handle emotions, respond to authority, show compassion and understand their worth—at home.

Some women mistakenly believe that becoming a good wife means losing their voice, dreams, boundaries, or identity. But God never designed marriage to erase you—He designed it to refine you.

A healthy marriage should not cost you your God-given identity.

You can honour your husband without abandoning your godly standards and values. You can serve your family without neglecting your purpose.
You can love deeply without tolerating abuse or losing your voice.
You can be a godly wife without loosing yourself. Submission is not slavery!

"So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them." Gen 2:18.

This question was asked at the Wholesome Family Solution Watsapp Community

God hates divorce. What about you? Malachi 2:16.

Here is my response 👇
If I truly love God, I should love what He loves and hate what He hates.

John 14:15 (KJV): "If ye love me, keep my commandments."

God always has our best interests at heart. He sees beyond what we can see and understands the long-term consequences of our choices. His design for marriage is rooted in love, protection, and the well-being of both spouses and their children.
Divorce often leaves deep emotional, relational, spiritual, and generational wounds.

1 Corinthians 1:25 (KJV): "Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men."

Even when God's ways seem difficult, they are always wiser than human reasoning.

Here is the balance:

If you are single:
Look carefully before you say, "I do." Choose a spouse prayerfully, wisely, and with discernment.

If you are already married:
Do all you can, by God's grace, to preserve and strengthen your marriage. Pursue forgiveness, healthy communication, humility, and reconciliation wherever possible.

However, if you are facing persistent destructive behaviours—especially abuse, whether physical, emotional, psychological, sexual, or financial—do not suffer in silence. Speak up and seek godly, wise, and strategic counsel that can help you and your spouse align with God's will and purpose for your marriage.

Seeking help is not a lack of faith; it is often an act of wisdom.

God values marriage, but He also values your life, dignity, and safety. Do not remain in a situation where your life or well-being is continually at risk when help is available.
Protect the covenant, but never ignore the value of the lives within it.

God bless and preserve our marriage.

Remember, We are here for you at Wholesome Family Solution❤️

I hope this helps?

What if the greatest threat to your family isn't what others are doing—but what you quietly tolerate?

Every generation reaches a moment when someone must decide: Will I protect life, or will I preserve the cycle of pain?

Exodus 1:15–21 tells the remarkable story of two Hebrew midwives, Shiphrah and Puah, who were ordered by Pharaoh to kill every Hebrew baby boy at birth. Faced with a choice between obeying an earthly king or honoring the King of kings, they chose to fear God rather than man. They courageously preserved life, even at great personal risk.

This challenges us to ask: Are we using our office or influence to preserve life, restore hope, and strengthen families, or are we contributing to patterns that destroy them?

Sometimes, the greatest breakthrough in a family, church, or nation begins with one person quietly saying, "I will not participate in what destroys people."

Shiphrah and Puah remind us that neutrality in the face of injustice is not righteousness.

Every family has moments when someone must decide whether to preserve life or perpetuate pain.

Will you continue the generational cycle, or will you become the one who breaks it?

At Wholesome Family Solution, we believe that every act of integrity, compassion, and obedience plants seeds for future generations. When we choose God's ways over the world's pressures, we not only become cycle breakers—we position ourselves for God's blessing and legacy

"We must obey God rather than men." — Acts 5:29

"The fear of the Lord leads to life." — Proverbs 19:23

"I have come that they may have life, and have it abundantly." — John 10:10

Reflection: What decision is God asking you to make today that reflects your reverence for Him more than your fear of people?

Prayer🙏 :
Lord, give me a heart that fears You above every human opinion. Give me the courage to stand for truth, even when it is unpopular or costly.
Help me protect what You value, stand for what is right, and leave a legacy that brings life to my family and generations to come. Amen.
