🚗✨ Journey Update: Kalka to Manali Drive ✨
In my previous video, many of you from our YouTube family asked about petrol cost, travel time, and road conditions — so here’s a quick breakdown of our trip 👇
🕢 Start Time: 7:30 AM
🛑 Breaks: 2 (about 1 hour each)
🕔 Reached Manali: 5:15 PM
⏱️ Total Travel Time: ~10 hours (with breaks)
🛣️ Distance Covered: ~550 km
💰 Trip Cost:
⛽ Fuel: ~₹2900
🚙 Car Average: ~18.5Km/l
💳 FASTag Tolls (4): ~₹645
Himachal State Entry Tax ₹70
Manali Green Tax ₹200
➡️ Total Driving Cost: ~₹3815
So while planning your journey, don’t forget to add toll charges along with fuel ⛽, food 🍴 & stay 🏨 to your budget.
The road conditions were very challenging — at almost every point we faced landslides, mudslides, or falling rock zones. Driving in such conditions really requires expertise and full focus.
⚠️ Important Update:
Currently, the situation has worsened — many stretches of road are completely vanished due to floods and slides. If you’re planning a trip, I strongly recommend not traveling right now. Please wait until the roads are repaired and safe.
