Weird question…
Have you ever tried playing piano in the dark?

No visual distractions.
Just feeling the keys. Hearing the rhythm.

Total vibe shift.

I started doing it for fun… and now I swear it actually helped my groove and memory...

If you could instantly learn one boogie woogie tune right now, what would it be?

Maybe something classic like “Boogie Woogie Stomp”?
Maybe a groove you heard someone play at a station piano?

Let’s be real…

What piano skill took you the longest to finally “get”?

For me, it was left and right hand independence.
Took me forever to find a method that actually WORKS to get my brain and fingers to stop fighting each other 😂

I call this method "the Hand Of God"

What was it for you? Drop it below—we’re all in this together 👇

Would you sit down and play at a public piano?

🅰️ Yes! I live for those moments
🅱️ I want to—but I’d panic
🅾️ Not yet… still building my confidence

I used to walk past public pianos all the time—dreaming of the day I could confidently sit down and play boogie without freezing up.

Now I help others do exactly that.

👇 Which one are you?

3 piano skills I wish I learned way earlier:

1️⃣ Playing a simple left-hand groove without looking
2️⃣ Letting go of mistakes mid-song (no more panic face)
3️⃣ Feeling rhythm instead of counting it

Which one is hardest for you?
Or what’s your “I wish I knew this sooner” skill?

Let’s compare notes ⬇️

Real talk?

There was a time I hated the way I played piano.

Too stiff. Too mechanical. No groove.
I was trying so hard to sound “correct,” I forgot what joy felt like.

Boogie woogie reminded me why I started in the first place.

Every pianist has that one song they secretly wish they could play—effortlessly.

What’s yours?

Mine used to be “Boogie Woogie Stomp”…
Now it’s just anything with an insane left-hand for me 😂

Let’s start a little debate.

Is sheet music overrated when it comes to blues, boogie, and rock’n’roll piano?

I’ll go first:
Yes. It is. Learning by ear + understanding of the structure/system is how you'll unlock the real magic of groove.

But I know some of y’all swear by the notes.

Where do you stand? 👇 Let’s hear it. Vote and leave a comment.
