On my channel, you can mostly find workshop videos and content related to home renovation and construction. I really enjoy electronics, mechanics, and metalworking is one of my hobbies. Basically, I’m interested in anything that involves creating things with my own hands. I’d like to make YouTube videos about most of my projects, and I hope I’ll find an audience for them!

New project idea! 4500 USD House
I’m really curious what you guys think about this one!

I’m thinking about starting a low-budget house project worth around $4500 USD, but I wanted to ask for your opinion first!

My current content hasn’t performed the way I hoped in terms of views, so I’d like to start a new strategy.
My most popular video so far is the pool-building video, which is a long, project-based piece that grabs people’s attention and actually creates real value.
So I want to go back to that kind of creative, building-style content.

I’ve been following ‪@justus_reid‬ for a while – he bought and renovated a $5000 house, reaching huge success on social media.
I’ll be honest – I’m a little jealous of that success and would love to try something similar. Maybe I’ll get lucky too!

And then the opportunity came!
There’s a house for sale near me for 1,500,000 HUF (around $4500 USD) – only a few hundred meters away, with an amazing view from a hilltop.
That’s an incredible price even by Hungarian standards (about 4–5 months of average salary).
As soon as I saw it, I thought: this could be the perfect YouTube project!

My plan:

invest about 2 million HUF to fully renovate it,

build an off-grid water and power system,

and make a 10-part video series about the whole process.

So with a total investment of about 3.5 million HUF (≈10,000 USD), I could launch an exciting project that might even pay for itself.

Crunching the numbers:
To earn $10k net, I’d need around $18k gross →
With a $3 RPM, that’s about 6 million total views, or roughly 600k per video.

$4500 for a house is a great deal, but it’s still a big amount for an impulse purchase.
But if it works out on YouTube, it would be an absolute jackpot.
And honestly, it doesn’t seem impossible!

Looking at ‪@justus_reid‬ ’s content, I noticed his project brought him a ton of Patreon supporters.
So maybe this could also work well for me – not only relying on YouTube ads, but also building support through Patreon or channel memberships.
(Currently I have one active supporter – big shoutout to Devin Chase for the $1 support! :) )

So what do you think – should I go for it?
My creative side really wants another long-term project where I can fully express my passion for building things.
Though I’m also still working on renovating my own house (videos coming soon – Part 1 should be out in a few weeks!). :)
I just have a ton of footage, and my PC decided it refuses to edit it… :D

Honestly, I’d say there’s about a 40% chance this YouTube project will succeed.
But that 40% could easily pay back all the work many times over.

After all, it’s just like I said in the pool video:
“Maybe the YouTube video will pay for itself — but in the worst case, I’ll have a pool.”
Only this time, in the worst case… I’ll have a little house with a beautiful view. :)

Definitely leave a comment if you read this – I’d love to hear what you think about the idea!

30k subscribers! You guys are awesome!
Now, if everyone brings 2.33 more people, we’ll hit 100k!

Back in November, I made a bet with a friend:
If I reach 100,000 subscribers in 2025, I win a 2004 Opel Astra!
Poor thing has 500,000 km on it and drinks 0.3 liters of engine oil every 100 km...
But hey, it still has a year left on its technical inspection!

Status update:
YouTube is harder to grow than I expected.
Getting views is not easy.
I have a bunch of projects with tons of work behind them,
but honestly, most of them don’t really find an audience.

I’ve had 3–4 videos do well… but that’s about it.

Still, I’m not giving up, because YouTube is my only shot.
This year, I want to reach 100k subs and have a video with 10 million views.

Also, my first sponsored video is coming soon!
And I’m already having a few “fights” with sponsors —
but right now the channel is still too small to have a strong position in negotiations.

Anyway, at least I have a small but awesome group of subscribers —
Thank you all for the 8 million views on my channel! 😊

Hi everyone!
Hello to my 28,645 subscribers! You guys are the best! :)
I have some videos that I spent tens or even hundreds of hours working on, but they didn’t get the views I was hoping for.
If I reupload them — either re-edited or with added narration — how would you feel about it as existing subscribers?
Would it bother you? I really don’t want to lose subscribers because of this.
At the same time, I don’t want all that hard work to go to waste, and I’d like to give those videos another chance because I believe they deserve more.
I've seen other channels have good success with reuploaded and improved videos.
Would you unsubscribe because of this?
