🚨 Premier League Announces New Spending Rules for 2026/27 🚨
Big changes coming to club finances 👀

The Premier League has officially replaced FFP with a new Squad Cost Ratio (SCR) — limiting spending on wages + transfers to 85% of club revenue + player sale profits. There’s also a new Sustainability & Systemic Resilience (SSR) check to monitor cash flow and overall financial health.

A proposed hard cap (linked to the bottom club’s earnings) failed, with big clubs like City & Chelsea pushing back. Mid-table clubs wanted more balance.

Overall, the new rules align with UEFA and set the stage for “smarter” transfers starting next summer.
