Wally Makes Stuff (formerly wallymakesstuff) is a DIY channel focused on showing the real process behind building and experimenting — not the polished, sponsor-driven version where everything looks easy.
Before each project, I share my thinking and assumptions up front, even when I don’t fully know where the build will end up. Then I walk through the entire process from start to finish — including the mistakes, the fixes, and what actually worked (or didn’t).
Every project ends with an honest summary: what I’d change, what I’d do again, and whether it was truly worth the time and effort. I also revisit projects down the road to share long-term results.
When relevant, I include the tools or products I used in the video description for reference — not hype. If you enjoy thoughtful DIY, problem-solving, and learning from real-world experience, you’re in the right place. I read and respond to most comments and welcome productive input that helps the DIY community grow.

FASTER = SMOOTHER? 😱
I wanted to see what these Bilstein 8112 bypass shocks actually do. It feels like a bad idea, but the faster I hit these full-size speed bumps, the smoother the ride got.
It’s just enough amazing to get me in serious trouble off-road if I’m not careful. 🛠️

I wanted a serious subwoofer without losing trunk space.. so this setup disappears completely under the floor.

I wanted to give you a quick heads-up: I’ve hit a minor "technical paradox" behind the scenes with YT account settings. Because of an automated system glitch, I’m holding off on releasing the next major long-form video for just a few days to ensure the platform is tracking everything correctly.
I don’t want to waste your views on a "broken" launch! In the meantime, I’ll be dropping Shorts daily to keep the momentum going.

Pretty cool milestone for the channel.
I recently reached out to a tire company about sponsoring the truck build, and they were open to it.
I was already considering this tire before contacting them. I wouldn’t put my name or the channel behind something I wouldn’t run myself.
The Mickey Thompson Baja Boss tires on the truck now have honestly been great, so it took a lot for me to even consider trying something different.
Since I’m not daily driving the truck anymore, I wanted something focused more on off-roading and overlanding without compromise.
Big thanks to everyone watching, commenting, and supporting the channel — that’s what makes opportunities like this possible!
