Hey jamers, happy December! 🤍❄️ I just wanted to make a little post to keep you guys informed about the channel and where my mind is at with things.
The Juicebox was made with high effort, high detail content in mind. I have pretty high standards for my work, and am always trying to say something new about the characters I cover here. My goal is to create conversation and connection, and to help people understand themselves and people around them through our shared love of video games in a creative way.
Lately, due to work, moving (twice), and dealing with burnout combined with the amount of time it takes to create such content, I haven't been able to work on or release much! With what I just explained, I hope it makes sense why the channel has been radio silent. Sorry! Didn't mean to leave you in the dark! 😅
Despite that, this channel isn't going anywhere. I still have ideas, characters I want to talk about, and a lot of passion for this art. I may not be able to do much with it right now, but I will return when I can, even if it takes years! Truthfully, this is a channel I need to work on full time to make work, that's how it was designed.
Anyways, I still wanted to reflect on what I could get done this year and show appreciation for you jamers who enjoyed it! ✨
We released nearly 50 shorts ranging all sorts of game series. From DDLC, to OMORI, to Final Fantasy, to Zelda, to Sonic....to........well you get the point. Special shoutouts to the DDLC Protagonist & Sayori shorts that got over 1 million views, guess you guys really liked those! If you haven't already checked out the wide array of character minis we released in 2025, you should! You might end up liking something you didn't think you would. Big shoutout to @iggyminious for helping out with the edits, and @Vannamelon for the long discord voicechat sessions of writing! Couldn't have done it without you two! ❤️
We also streamed this year! 🎥 We played MiSide, Tsunagari Chess School, Sonic 1, Sonic CD, Sonic 2, Sonic 3&K, Link's Awakening, and Echoes of Wisdom! It was so much fun, and I hope to come back to streaming again sometime!
Lastly, we did actually release a video! 😱 The video in question is the character analysis of Shadow the Hedgehog paired with the cover of Live & Learn I did with @nickyd_tv7955! From the writing, to the organizing, to recording therapy sessions with a Shadow plushie, to the guitar practice, to messing up the lyrics to one of my favorite songs in the studio, we made it happen! 🖤🦔❤️
Though I did have plans to do more with the channel this year, I'm still proud of what I've done. I just wanted to reflect with you guys and let you know that even though I can't really work on The Juicebox right now, that I won't be gone forever. Thank you for being here, and thank you for continuing your support on my channel. Very special shoutouts to all of my Patreon supporters and YouTube members, you guys are unreal and help me out more than you know. I know I haven't been very active with long form content, but I'll get back to it when inspiration strikes!
