Hello Everyone, here is my latest capture - a dark nebula (LDN 1165) and lots of red hydrogen gas. It is not precisely known how far away LDN 1165 is from Earth, but it is located in the constellation Camelopardalis. Captured with my Celestron RASA telescope, ZWO ASI533MC color camera, and an Antlia L-Filter.
Hello Everyone, here is my latest capture - the Little Beehive Cluster (M41). The cluster has a diameter of 25–26 light-years and is receding from Earth at a speed of 14 miles per second (23.3 km/s). Captured with my Celestron RASA telescope, ZWO ASI533MC color camera, and an Antlia L-Filter.
Hello Everyone, here is my latest capture - the Phantom Galaxy (M74). It is a "grand-design" spiral face-on galaxy, 32 million light-years away. It is only slightly smaller in both size and the number of stars than our own Milky Way galaxy. Captured with my Celestron RASA telescope, ZWO ASI533MC color camera, and an Antlia L-Filter.
Congratulations to our YouTube Member, Pete, for winning the November Contest for the best picture of NGC 1333. You can follow Pete's YouTube Channel here: @petesastrophotography
