One of my proudest videos in terms of production and content. In a time where every company is enshittifying, it was nice to see one doing the opposite.

This is just a taste of the struggle repair shops have to go through to troubleshoot modern PCs that use DDR5. Also shines light on the larger problem of manufacturers prioritizing speed over stability, where it takes years to eliminate bugs that should never have existed in the first place.

I officially have the fastest MacBook Neo in the world. All I had to do was a simple, completely practical modification involving 0c air temps, a heatsink I found in the trash, and an industrial air blower. Stay tuned next week for the video!

Congrats @hecucollective on your Blue Shift 5 year anniversary! And for @CrowbarCollective for making it possible with Black Mesa.
The first time I played Blue shift, I did it on stream, and it's a core memory. My troubleshooting skills were so poor, I ended up finding an exploit that required realtime dev intervention and ended up in the changelogs. One of my proudest / most embarrassing internet moments.

https://youtu.be/ueEc_YBXmeY?t=1420 This is the most articulate breakdown of why everyone, not just tech enthusiasts, should be pissed at how a handful of mega-corps are steamrolling ALL OF US. Quite literally the most important monologue I've heard in years.

I finally used the Star Trek uniform that was hanging up in my shop for 2 years. I bought it when I saw this 55" Drafting Table lurking in the attic of my electronics recycler. Now after seeing what's inside, the question is WTF do I even do with it? Yes, upgrade it, but then what? The screen is mounted in a way that makes it disorienting to use for gaming, and it weighs like 500lbs so it can't just be shipped to someone.

Hypothetically, if I were to have a 84" first gen Microsoft Surface Hub, what should I do with it besides LS swap it?
Keep in mind the original motherboard is firmware locked so it can't be repurposed, but you CAN put it into "Replacement PC Mode" to use the 4K 120Hz display and the speakers...

Out of every video I've made, this one has the most potential to make an actual difference. Even though Right to Repair affects everyone, the average person hasn't been burned as much as technicians have. Right to OWN, however, has burned EVERYONE. Documenting this BS is the first step in actually getting something done.
