Vinayak Bhatt - Learn Vedic & Nadi Astrology

You must have seen this type of person.
Always a glass in hand, or cigarette in fingers.

Always saying, “My life is so hard, nobody understands me.”

They hurt people, lie, cheat in relationship or money, play victim card again and again… and still at the end of life they suffer badly – health gone, respect gone, peace gone.
In Jyotish, this is not random. Certain Bhrigu Nandi Nadi combinations and nakshatras show this exact script.

When Venus sits with Rahu in a pleasure-loving sign, and behind them (by degree) there is some old wound planet like Saturn or Ketu, the story often starts with real pain. Early life rejection, love wound, poverty, broken family. But when Rahu gets power and Venus goes ahead in degree, enjoyment becomes drug. This person learns to numb pain with alcohol, parties, affairs, shortcuts. Outside they look “emotional and sensitive”, but slowly they start using their hurt as weapon: “I drink because you don’t love me… I shout because my childhood was bad…

I cheat because I was cheated.”

If this Venus–Rahu sits in nakshatras like Purva Ashadha, Shatabhisha, Bharani, Swati, the fire of desire is very strong. These people can talk very sweetly when they want something. They will call you “my only true friend” at 11:30 pm when they are drunk, tell their sad story, cry, and next morning they will do the same manipulation with someone else. In BNN, the planet ahead in degree shows “who becomes the victim”. Often you will see gentle Moon, or Jupiter, or 7th lord ahead – meaning soft-hearted partners, children or friends become the sponge for their drama.

Then there is Moon with Ketu or Moon in Ketu-type nakshatra (Ashwini, Magha, Mula) with Saturn just ahead in degree. Here the inner feeling is: “I am broken, I am alone, life is unfair.” This is genuine at first. But if this person does not take dharmic path, that emotion becomes a script. They will drink or smoke, spoil their health, refuse help, and still declare, “Everyone used me.” In BNN language, Ketu behind Moon holds past-life and childhood trauma. Saturn ahead in degree makes them attract strict, cold people later in life – bosses, partners, even children – who mirror back their own behaviour.

Many charts of heavy smokers and drinkers who play victim have Mars–Rahu or Mars–Saturn knots too. In degree sequence, Mars behind shows anger and violence in bloodline. Rahu or Saturn ahead shows they carry this forward in more “modern” way – sarcasm, emotional abuse, passive aggression, silent treatment. They will say, “I never hit anyone,” but their words can cut like knife. They drink and then speak all poison. Later they say sorry, cry, and again repeat. Mars’ nakshatras like Mrigashira, Dhanishta, Chitra mixed with Rahu’s nakshatras like Ardra, Swati, Shatabhisha give very sharp tongue and double life.

Astro Vastu also shows this pattern in the house. In such people’s homes, you often see:

– bottles hidden in wardrobes, bathroom shelves, under the bed,
– ashtrays on balcony railing right where the main prana of house should flow,
– cigarette butts thrown near plants or in the north-east corner dustbin,
– puja room neat in front, but behind that wall there is dirty sink, leak, or junk.

When Guha-type nakshatras (secret, cave energy) like Ashlesha, Jyeshtha, Mula connect with 4th house or home-related planets, double life becomes strong. One face in front of society, another in private. They may even preach morality, talk big about truth and loyalty, but their own late-night behaviour, chats and addictions are known only to a few.

Bhrigu Nandi Nadi is very simple here:

planet behind in degree = real old wound,
planet itself = present behaviour,
planet ahead = people who suffer because of your behaviour.

If behind you there is Moon or Venus hurt, and ahead of you there is again Moon, Venus, or 5th/7th lord, it clearly shows – “you got pain once, and now you are passing the same pain forward and calling it ‘my nature’.”

And what happens at the end?

You will see the same movie again and again:

Body starts giving bill – liver, lungs, blood pressure, heart, nerves.
Hospital smell becomes regular.

- Those same people who were used and exploited slowly step back.
- Some remain physically present, but emotionally they have closed the door.
- The person keeps saying, “Look, nobody stayed with me in the end,”
- but they never remember how many times they themselves did not stay for others.

Certain nakshatras show this late-life lonely suffering very clearly – especially when Krura planets in BNN sequence occupy padas of Krittika, Ashlesha, Vishakha, Mula, Purva Ashadha etc. Without remedy, the last phase becomes long, dry and full of regret.

This post is not to say “all drinkers are bad” or “all smokers are liars”. No.
It is talking about a specific karmic type:

- people who use their pain and addiction as a shield and weapon together.
- They hurt others, play victim, and then complain that life is unfair.

If while reading this, you are seeing someone’s face very clearly – or maybe a little bit your own – understand one thing: Jyotish is showing pattern so that it can be broken. In Bhrigu Nandi Nadi, degree sequence is fixed by past karma. But what you do with it today is still in your hands. If you keep blaming, the graph goes down. If you start owning your actions, cleaning your space, and dropping the fake mask, the same chart can produce a very deep, honest person who has gone through darkness and now refuses to pass it to the next generation.

That turning point is the real “nakshatra remedy”.

The Dark Child of Saturn: How Gulika Sits in Your Home and Your Karma
Some charts carry a very strange kind of shadow.
Life goes on, but hospital smell, funerals, blood tests, and health scares keep coming again and again in the family story. Ācārya Mantreśvara calls this shadow Guḻika and Māndi – children of Saturn – as harsh as Rāhu and Ketu, always disturbing Sun and Moon, the givers of life.

When Guḻika or Māndi strongly touch any bhāva, that area of life feels polluted or unsafe. If they touch the 4th house, people keep shifting houses, or the house becomes heavy with sickness and tension. If they sit with Lagna or Moon, the body feels tired before its age, fear of illness is more than illness itself, sleep is disturbed, dreams are strange. If they attack 7th or 8th, one keeps hearing about operations, accidents, sudden losses in close circle. Not saying “you will die like this”, but you become a witness to many endings and hospital scenes in life.
You will see it in small habits also. People with strong Guḻika/Māndi influence often keep old medicines, expired tablets, used injection packets, old reports, and hospital files in random corners of the house for years. Many times I have seen one specific drawer or box where all these “death memories” are stored, and that box lies near the bed or in the temple room itself. Some keep used bandages, old thermometers, broken oximeter, empty syrup bottles in the same cupboard where they keep God photo, incense, and kumkum. The graha of pollution is literally sitting with devatā-sthāna.
Astro Vastu shows this very clearly. Guḻika-type energy loves dirty corners: under-stair store rooms with spider webs and dust, toilets with no proper ventilation, back balconies where broken buckets, mops, old shoes, and rusted rods are thrown. If such a corner is exactly touching your bedroom, kitchen or home temple wall, the mind starts feeling low, heavy, and scared without reason. Many houses with strong Māndi influence have constant problems with drains, gutters, septic tanks, or dirty water outside the main gate. The person keeps saying, “Pata nahi kyu, ghar ke bahar hamesha gandagi rehti hai”, and at the same time wonders why there is no peace inside.
Remedy does not start only with mantra. First remedy is “śuddhi” – cleaning. If you feel your life has too much hospital energy, first look at where you keep medical files and medicines. Move them away from bedroom headboard and from mandir. Make one clean, closed, dedicated shelf in a practical zone like south or west wall, keep only current medicines, and respectfully discard expired ones. Clean the area around toilet and drain points properly. If there is a permanently dirty corner outside your house where garbage collects, at least once a week put some phenyl water there and pray, “Jo bhi nīcha, gandā, dukhad hai, vo yahin ruk jaye, ghar ke andar na aaye.”
Spiritually, Surya and Chandra have to be protected from this shadow. Simple daily Surya Arghya at sunrise with clean water and a sincere prayer, “O Sun, keep my life-force strong and my mind clear,” slowly cuts the fear. On Mondays, even if you cannot do big vrat, avoid heavy food at night, drink more plain water, and sit for five minutes in front of a calm Jyotirlinga or Chandrama photo and just breathe quietly. For many people with Guḻika/Māndi patterns, regular Mahāmrityunjaya japa done with sincerity (even 11 times daily) works more deeply than running behind hundred different remedies.
Shiva upāsanā is a very beautiful way to hold this death-shadow energy. Different types of worship can be selected according to how your life feels. If you feel you are always surrounded by other people’s suffering, working in hospitals, dealing with sick relatives, use a smooth black stone or Narmada Shiva Lingam. Keep it on a clean asan, not directly on floor. Offer water with a little black til on Saturdays and pray not for “escape from death,” but for courage and stability in front of it.
If your fear is more mental – panic attacks, overthinking about death, fear of going to hospitals – use a Sphatik (crystal) Shivling. Keep it in a calm, bright corner, preferably north-east. Do abhishek with plain water or a little rose water, and sit quietly watching the light play on the crystal for some minutes. This brings sattva back into Moon. If Guḻika is disturbing your work space and decisions, you can place a small, neat Shiva photo or lingam near your work table, keep that area very clean, no dust, no old wires, and begin your workday after one “Om Namah Shivāya” with awareness.

Remember one important line: Guḻika and Māndi show where life forces you to accept that one day everything will end. If you fight this truth, fear increases. If you accept it and clean that area of life – body, room, temple, drain, memory – then the same combinations make you strong in crisis, wise in hospital situations, and compassionate when others are going through tough times. Many good doctors, healers, and people who serve in difficult places carry these very combinations.
From mid-January 2025 I am starting an “Astro Vastu for Beginners” course in Hindi, where I will show how such hidden points like Guḻika, Māndi, Bādhakeśa, etc. actually sit inside our rooms, doors and corners, not only in charts. For this first batch we are giving an Early Bird Offer till 1 January 2026 – big discount on course fees and lifetime access to our Astro Vastu Software. After 1 January 2026, software access will be only for one year and the course price will also increase. If you felt your own house and karma inside this post, this course will help you see and correct many of these subtle patterns in a practical way.

Office Politics & Astro Vastu

Office politics does not start in HR. It starts the day you decide where to sit, which side you face, and which corner of the office you quietly claim as “yours”. Rāśi and planets are not only in your horoscope, they are also walking around in your office as chairs, doors, corners and people.

Watch one simple thing. In any meeting room, who automatically takes the seat facing the door or projector? That is always the Surya–Rāśi type person, Leo or strong Sun. They need clear view and clear control. Now see who quietly slips to the side chair, near wall or pillar, slightly behind everyone. That is Saturn or Capricorn–Aquarius energy, watching everything but saying less. These are the people who run the real file movement and email chains, even if their name is not on title slide.

Your own desk also exposes your office politics Rāśi. Fire sign people, especially Aries, Leo, Sagittarius types, cannot sit with their back fully exposed to open space. They will either push the chair to a wall, or keep some cupboard, partition, plant or colleague behind them. They fight front battles, but they are very careful about their back. Water sign people, Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces types, will always keep something emotionally soft on the desk – family photo, favourite mug, plant, God photo, even in very strict corporate environment. Attacks in office hit them through emotions and mood, not logic.

Now bring Astro Vastu in. If your main sitting is under a beam, near a pillar cut, next to toilet wall, or directly in line of the main door, you will experience politics differently. A strong Mars or fire sign person sitting in direct line of door will get dragged into every fight and every “urgent” issue. People just dump problems on their table. A strong Mercury or Gemini–Virgo type squeezed near printer, server, or tangled wires will always be blamed when communication, data or systems fail, even if it is not their fault. Their Rāśi naturally becomes the circuit-breaker of the office.

Look at how people use drawers and cupboards. Fixed sign people, Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius, hoard information. Their drawers will have old files, notes, visiting cards, even after five years. Throwing away paper feels like losing power. When such a person sits near South or West heavy zone, they become the real archive of the company. If they support you, politics cannot touch you. If they turn, they can quietly kill your image with one old mail or one past mistake.

Rahu and Ketu in office are very funny. Rahu-type people love sitting near windows with a view, glass cabins, corridors where everyone passes, or around charging points and Wi-Fi routers. They live on movement, gossip and signals. Ketu-type people naturally slide toward dead corners – near store, back staircase, old cabinet, silent bays. Management often forgets them, but during crisis suddenly remembers, “Call that person, they will know.” These Ketu folks see everything without being seen, so they understand office politics better than any handbook.
Even your tea and lunch habits show your Rāśi politics.

Strong Moon or Cancer types slowly build a “canteen family” in one fixed corner. Same table, same people. All emotional politics of the office runs through that group. Air signs, Gemini, Libra, Aquarius, keep changing spot, sometimes with this group, sometimes that. They carry news from one zone to another without realising how powerful they are as messengers. Earth signs, Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn, often eat at their desk or in one practical corner, watching others, reading market, planning next move quietly.

The beauty is, you don’t need complicated divisional charts to start reading this. With just basic Rāśi and planet understanding, you can see why one colleague always gets credit, why one always gets blame, why one gets stuck under beam type bosses again and again, and why one person survives every change in management like a mountain.

If you are a Jyotish student, this is the easiest way to make astrology come alive. If you are not a student at all, you will still recognise your own desk, your own office drama, in everything written above. This is exactly what we are going to work on in my upcoming Astro Vastu course – using only Rāśi and planets to read houses, offices and human behaviour, without making it complicated.

Any beginner in Vedic astrology can join my Astro Vastu course. Link is given in the comment section. Complete video is given in comment section. Find the link.

Why God Is “Angry” In Your House: One Simple Astro Vastu Check
There is one simple sutra in Praśnamārga that exposes half the problems of a house or family, but we hardly use it. It says, if the angry planet – Bādhakeśa – sits in the 4th house with a cruel planet, the temple is old, damaged and not looked after.

The Devatā is not happy because the place is not clean. For Jyotish students this sounds technical. For real life, it is brutally simple: when the place of God is dirty, the mind of people in that space cannot remain peaceful.

You don’t need to see only village temples for this. Just stand in your own house and your nearby temple. How many times have you seen this scene: the mandir is there, but the wall behind it is black with soot, the paint is peeling, spider webs above the deity’s head, cracked tiles on the floor, old plastic flowers, dry agarbatti ash stuck on stand, broken bell, oil stains, dead batteries from old torches in the same drawer as kumkum and diya.

Family will proudly say “hamare ghar mein bada mandir hai”, but no one has the time or bhava to really clean that corner. This is exactly what Bādhakeśa in 4H is shouting.

Śani in the 4th from Janma Lagna, Kārakāṃśa or Lagnāṃśa is known to show old, tired, cracked houses. In Praśna, the same Saturn or any Bādhakeśa in 4H with a krūra graha says: the place of Devatā has become like this. Dilapidated, ignored, used but not respected.

You will see it in habits. Temple verandah used to dry clothes. Back room of temple used as storage for plastic chairs and junk. Home mandir shelf used to keep house keys, bills, mobile charging, coins, pen drives.

Someone lights a diya mechanically morning-evening, but no one bends down to clean the floor properly or wash the wall once in a while. Grahas are not emotional, they are practical. “You don’t clean My place, I will not clean your life.”

Look at the pattern in such homes. Small fights over nothing, constant repairs, water leakage near puja room, vehicles getting dented or breaking near temple days, children not able to sit and study peacefully, mother’s chest or heart issues, seniors in the house feeling suffocated or disrespected.

When you see 4th lord afflicted with Bādhakeśa, or 4th lord sitting in Bādhakasthāna with papagrahas, you don’t have to give very fancy explanations. Just ask one line: “Is your mandir or your Kuldevatā’s temple in some damaged, dirty, or neglected condition?” Most of the time the client goes quiet.

Non-astrology people also know this truth in their bones. Think of any time you entered a temple where paint was falling, clock was dead, dust everywhere, bathroom stinking, donation box broken, garbage lying near back entrance. You don’t feel like sitting and praying deeply, even if the murti is powerful.

Your mind itself feels some heaviness and irritation. Now imagine living daily with that energy in your own house, just because the puja corner is badly placed and badly kept. Praśnamārga only gave us the sutra. Astro Vastu shows you the live movie.

One habit that really exposes this yoga is how you treat temple garbage. Many people will remove old flowers from the mandir and then throw them in the same dustbin where kitchen kachra goes, in plastic, lying for days. Bādhakeśa in 4H with malefic will show exactly these kinds of “small” insults to devatā-sthāna.

Or you will see people walking past the house mandir every day with dirty shoes, throwing bags on the same ledge as the deity, putting water bottles and helmets in front of God’s photo because “thodi der rakh diya, kya farak padta hai”. But the chart is recording every habit.

The shocking part is what happens when you correct this. Many times, I have seen: just by cleaning, repainting and re-arranging the mandir and the temple route, things shift. Stuck court case in temple land starts moving. Constant house-sale delays suddenly clear. Tenant issues calm down.

Family members sleep better. Children stop getting scared at night. That is Praśnamārga 15.11b working in front of your eyes. The wrath was not “emotional”. It was architectural and karmic.

If you are a Jyotish student, this one sutra can change your whole style of prediction. Don’t only say “Śani in 4H, house is old.” Go and ask, “How is the condition of your home temple and the temple you are karmically connected to?

Is there dampness, cracks, dust, or bathroom wall touching that area?” If you are not a student at all, you can still check today itself: what is happening in the 4th house of your space – the heart, the mandir, the main emotional room?

In my Astro Vastu course, I am going to teach this kind of direct application: how a line from Praśnamārga becomes a live diagnosis tool for your house, your office, your village temple, using only Rāśi and planets.

Any beginner in Vedic astrology can join this course, you don’t need heavy background. If this post made you remember your own mandir corner or your Kuldevatā’s broken temple wall, you will benefit a lot from that class. Astro Vastu Course Link is given in Comment Section.

Secrets of Saturn & Vastu -
Some people are born with a strange push–pull between “I must move” and “I am scared to move.” Outside they look strong and practical. Inside, every new beginning feels like walking with brakes on. If your Saturn is in Aries, you know this feeling very well, even if you don’t know any astrology.
Saturn in Aries means the planet of fear, duty and slow work is sitting in the sign of impulse, courage and first step. So what happens? Life keeps giving you situations where you must take bold action, but your body and mind remember every past failure at the gate. You will see a clear pattern: when a project is already running, you manage it very well. When time comes to start something new – new job, new business, new city, new relationship commitment, even starting regular exercise – suddenly your energy becomes heavy. You overthink, you feel tired, some excuse appears, or some small problem comes only at the last moment.
Look at your habits around “first step.” Many Saturn–in–Aries people are champions of preparation. Bag will be packed one day before travel. Files for new project will be perfectly arranged. Notes for meeting will be ready. But on the day itself, something goes off: sleep disturbance, headache, small accident, alarm problem, taxi issue, traffic jam. Again and again, Life tests your first step. After you cross that, you actually perform very well. But that threshold drama repeats.
Now connect this with Astro Vastu. Aries is connected with the East direction and front, and Saturn is heaviness and old stuff. So in many Saturn-in-Aries lives, the main door or east-side of the house carries this struggle. Check your entrance honestly. Is there cracked tile, broken step, leaking tap, old shoes and junk blocking the way, iron grill with rust, or some heavy object exactly near or behind the main door? Many times I have seen: Saturn in Aries natives have a front door that does not open fully, door makes noise, or there is a beam right above the entrance. Guests squeeze in; energy also squeezes in. You keep saying, “I will fix it,” and months pass. This is exactly how you behave with your own new beginnings too.
In the house, fire and iron also tell the story. Saturn is iron, Aries is fire. When Saturn sits there, the chart often shows gas stove, cylinders, iron racks, or big metal items placed in awkward positions in the kitchen or east side. Gas stove under a beam, cylinder in a tight corner with clutter, iron trunk or almirah near the front of house or in the first room. Such arrangements create a subconscious mood of “pressure at the front.” You may notice that you feel tired as soon as you enter home, but get energy only after going inside to your usual corner.
There is a clear body pattern also. Head, face and knees become karmic points. Many Saturn–in–Aries people have stories of hitting their head on doors, shelves, vehicle parts, or low beams. Or they get small cuts and bruises around the forehead, eyebrows, or scalp while rushing. On the other side, knees and joints complain when you try to start exercise after long gap. First two weeks of gym or walking feel like torture; if you cross that, body adjusts, but the starting is always painful. It is not just age. It is Saturn testing every “new Mars action.”
Emotionally, there is a control issue with anger. Aries wants to shout and jump. Saturn wants to shut up and obey. Inside you, both live together. So you may keep quiet when someone crosses the line, but then brood for days. Or opposite: hold everything for long and then suddenly burst out with strong words, then feel guilty and promise yourself to “never react” again. This start–stop pattern in expression is again Saturn in Aries.
Even your driving and walking shows it. Many people with this placement are extra cautious at first gear and at crossings. They stand slightly longer at signal, double-check right and left before walking, feel uncomfortable when someone honks from behind. Once the vehicle is running smoothly, they relax. But at start and at turnings, you can literally feel a small fear in the body.
If, while reading this, you are remembering your noisy main door, cracked first step, old iron trunk in front room, gas stove under a beam, your habit of over-preparing and delaying starts, your “I will start from Monday” exercise pattern, your suppressed anger, then Saturn in Aries is already speaking to you.
The good news is: once you understand this combination, you can slowly shift it. Clearing the entrance, repairing cracks, giving proper dignity to the main door, handling kitchen fire–iron zones correctly, and making small, steady, non-drama starts in life – all this begins to calm Saturn down and allows Aries courage to work in a mature way.
Tomorrow evening at 4:00 PM IST I am doing an Astro Vastu Webinar where we will go deep into such combinations – like Saturn in Aries – and how they show directly in your house layout, entrance, kitchen, and daily habits. I will explain in simple language so even total beginners can understand and start applying.
If this post felt like it was talking about your life, you will enjoy that session. Link is given in the comments.
