The name *Sikfan Kitchen* pays homage to my Cantonese heritage. ”Sik fan!” (食飯) means “Let’s Eat!” in cantonese, which is a popular phrase that signals… “it’s time to eat!” 😊

I had leftover dough, so I made a butt Mooncake! 🍑😄 In Cantonese slang 八月十五 (baat yuert sup umm) 15th day of the 8th month means… “BUTT” because it’s the date of mid-autumn festival on the lunar calendar where the moon is at its’ fullest and roundest like your booty! 🌕😆

Thank you all for voting what Mooncakes you liked! I took your input and created a new Mooncake for this mid-autumn festival. Behold… Cantonese Beef Wellington Mooncakes!
Instead of a mushroom duxelle, I covered the beef tenderloin with homemade XO sauce and wrapped it with prosciutto and the classic Cantonese Mooncake pastry. Every bite is an umami bomb packed with flavahhh!
