My job is not to tell you how to do it. In sessions, I also don’t tell you about all the things going on in my life that are similar to yours, even though similarities come up all the time and I so want to share with you. So…

Hi friends! I know it’s been a while. I hope you are all doing well, even in this chaotic time. So much has changed. Not only am I coaching in person now in Franklin, TN, but I’m also doing Reiki healing for clients and managing a new holistic wellness center that opened about 6 months ago in my town. Here’s what I answered:

I let things go and allow “failure” to be okay. If I don’t get to something, (or something in the way I had envisioned), the world will go on, and I try to remind myself of that. I also try to ask for help if that’s reasonable.

It launched last night. It truly is my gift to you.

There’s a story behind it, for sure. I’ll post more about that later, but let’s just say this has been years in the making through experience and training and I couldn’t be more proud that it’s finally in the world. It’s the culmination of what seems like all my life lessons up to this point. (But it’s distilled down to a 1.5 hour self-paced workshop, don’t worry 😆).

If you're truly safe but don't feel safe, talk to yourself. Say things like, "I'm safe. I'm okay. It's going to be okay." Other ways to regulate when you're feeing yourself start to spiral include hugging yourself, shaking your body, or noticing the details of your physical surroundings.

Examples of tools my clients have come up with to communicate safety to their bodies and minds include hoodies, visualization, finger tapping, and prayer.

I personally like to use grounding crystals, walk outside barefoot in the grass, get sunlight, and to eat healthy foods.
