Yep... That's right! I'm on another astronomy trip for work. This time we are installing a Scope dome up in Queensland for a client. On the way up we had to stop at Siding Spring Observatory for a meeting and a tour inside of the facility.

The views from Nebula Nest on a clear night are simply amazing. I've been up here for the last few days installing new client equipment and making adjustments to other client equipment. I have one of the best jobs in the world & I'm honoured to be able to spend so many nights under such pristine skies.

I've spent the last week on Lord Howe Island playing MC at a series of events at the Lord Howe Dark Sky Festival. I've had an absolute blast doing it and dressing up as well. I have also been running photography workshops sharing my tips and tricks for mobile phone imaging.
The 2026 event is drawing to a close and I'm excited to be coming back for the 2027 event from May 1 to May 9

This week I'm over on Lord Howe Island volunteering under some of the darkest skies as part of the Dark Skies Festival. While I'm here I'll be running a series of mobile phone nightscape sessions and hosting the Astro quiz, science talks and kids Astronomy sessions.

Busy day at #Neaf2026 today. Caught up with more Astro friends and chatted to plenty of cool businesses as well! I've absolutely loved my time here at NEAF2026 & my first ever trip to the United States as well. Can't wait to come back!
