Welcome to AstroPuNk. A place to post my thoughts on upcoming projects, Things i'm thinking about musically and astronomically & to share my thoughts on how i work through my dark moments & living with ADHD
Let me know what astronomical things you'd like me to look at this year? What weird gear or fun crazy video do you want me to make? If you have an idea that's not on the list pop it in the comments section & let's build a weird & obscure video list for 2026
As 2025 winds down, I just want to say a massive thank you to every one of you legends in the AstroPuNk crew who’ve tagged along for the ride this year. From frozen fingers and busted subs to ridiculous late nights under dark skies, you’ve made every adventure better just by being part of it.
The next AstroPuNk video will land in early January 2026, and I’m already itching to share what’s coming next. Until then, I hope you all have a fun, safe, and well-earned Christmas and New Year’s break. Eat too much, stay up too late, hug your people, and if you get clear skies, don’t waste them.
Thanks for being here, thanks for the laughs, and thanks for sticking with the chaos.
Work is underway on the "How To Deep Sky Image With A Mobile Phone" video. First half is ready to rock, just need me a clear night to finish things off.
Rolled the All Abilities Telescope out of the AstroworX factory today and dropped it at the Leon Mow Dark Sky Site.
This is the fun bit, real field testing with ASV volunteers under actual dark skies. Real users, real feedback, no lab nonsense. They’ll put it through its paces, break our assumptions, and tell us what works and what doesn’t.
Once testing’s done, it comes back to AstroworX for final tweaks, then heads back out for permanent install at the All Abilities Observatory at LMDSS.
Accessible astronomy shouldn’t be a checkbox. It should just work.
Huge thanks to the ASV crew for helping us get this right.
Day 4 of the IAC2025 conference. Each day has been a day of adventure and discovery. Today is the last trade day before the event is opened to the public. They're expecting 9000 people tomorrow..... Sooo that'll be fun
