This is going to happen to a lot of people for absolutely no reason.

I made this account in 2008, when I was 17 years old. I am 32 now (my birthday’s at the end of the year, that’s why I’m not 33 yet lol). If they make an assault on my account like this as they’ve done to others, they will be doing so in obvious error. Every single live event I have recorded at has been at 18+ only shows. If their AI is too stupid to tell I’m the age I say I am based off this statement and the video evidence thereof, they will not be able to tell you are who you’ve shown yourself to be in your uploads or activities either.

Brace yourselves for new waves of Google’s stupidity and mismanagement.

Just Google attempting to kill my channel and others like it before I even have a chance to come back. 😂

I have never been suspended or banned, I have never received copyright strikes, I have no record with the site, and they are taking away features in order to coerce me into submitting my facial data to them so they can give it to fucking Palantir.

I hope google goes down in my life time. I want them gone so fucking badly. External links and pinned comments were literally how I tried to encourage viewers of my channel to support the official releases of whatever music I tried to promote. They are literally attacking the core essence of what my channel was built to do in order to make me submit my face into the scanner like it’s a Philip K. Dick novel.

It’s with an insanely heavy heart that I say this but REST IN PEACE AND POWER to one of New York’s finest, the rapper, street veteran and dedicated firefighter Ka. He passed away on October 12th, 2024. The cause of it is still unknown at this time, but I wanted to say something to remember this wonderfully talented man whose work I admired greatly (and tried to do my part to spread through my upload of this album). The game lost one of its most unique and interesting figures in quite some time. Nowhere near enough people know or understand just what we lost. I hope they eventually learn someday.

I’ve been doing a lot of work on myself and have been making strides in the time I’ve been gone, so very soon I intend to start trying to post some of the lesser-known music I’ve gotten into lately (and the odd live performance here and there) again and bring a little bit of life back to the channel.

I’m gonna need to be very selective so that copyright bots don’t nail me to a cross, so I’ll be checking and double-checking things before I go getting any flags or potentially shut down. I’m in between jobs at the moment so I’m busy looking for some work, so it will still be a little while before I pop back up but nowhere near as long as last time. Promise.

I look forward to sharing my musical findings with you.

Edit: By the way, one of my best live footage vids got struck down so I might try to see if I can deal with that in some way; I think that was the best recording of anything I’ve made, and a great show from a great rapper, so I wanna see if I can get that back up for the people that liked it and so that others can see it.

Full disclosure: The sound and crowding in the second stage (Ballroom) of the Dais 15th Anniversary event is really bad, I couldn’t really get much in the way of anything usable on that side of things. Apologies to both anyone who wanted to see the acts in the second stage roster and to the bands themselves if they see this; I wanted to get as much as I could from both and circumstances won’t allow it. I am covering Everything in the main stage category though. Currently posting this in between sets. What I have so far should be pretty good.

Also it won’t come immediately, expect it maybe a couple days after, I’m getting a little tangled up in work stuff around the same time. Cheers.

I’m going to try to record what I can from as many acts on this list as I can. It’s multi-stage so I might not get anywhere close to all but I’ll have a bunch regardless. Gonna ring in the holiday season with a bang.

Once I get my shit a bit more together this upcoming year, I think I’m gonna also start trying to share some more stuff I’ve come across and enjoy like I used to. I’ve neglected the old side of the channel, though I enjoy the live recordings and have gotten some pretty positive response, and it feels wrong to let that slip; I’ll set that right soon. But regardless, hopefully I can capture the great performances at this event for you.

I recorded another show this week, this time at the Echo (Downtown Los Angeles). I don’t expect this to be nearly as popular or as much of a crowdpleaser as the JPEGMAFIA show but this was a deep personal honor and a rare privilege for me; at the end of last year, a Shoegaze and Indie band from the 90’s that had huge influence, even Kevin Shields of My Bloody Valentine fame loved them (I personally bumped into their work almost on accident back in my highschool days in the late-late-late 2000’s), announced a west coast tour out of the blue. I managed to score tickets to the last date. The group is Lilys! If that name doesn’t ring a bell, I don’t blame you, it’s very much one of those “Your favorite band’s favorite band that barely anybody else knows” types of things. But their work was a huge part of my very Shoegaze-heavy diet in school and still is to this day, I highly recommend albums like ‘Eccsame the Photon Band’ and ‘In the Presence of Nothing’.

Hope you guys enjoy, it’s a lot less involved visuals-wise since it was a very intimate, very “let it wash over you” type of show, very relaxed energy (typical shoegaze live show in that regard lol), but the music’s good. That video should be up tonight if everything goes well.

The two sets I filmed at the Belasco are now in the process of uploading. It will probably finish very late tonight, so the insomniacs can catch that, but by Wednesday morning they should be up and ready for everybody else. Way too much has happened over the past two years. I’ve been gone from y’all for too long. I’ve lost more than I can say and so have many of you, but I’m still here. We’re still here. And in that spirit I have something for the people who’ve stayed subscribed even as I’ve been largely inactive in anything beyond commenting. I saw two very special someones at the Belasco last night and I can’t wait to start uploading the footage, I’ve got a way better phone than I used to so it’ll at least LOOK a lot better than most of my live footage. I’ll start either tonight or tomorrow night (tomorrow night is more likely ‘cause I got Wednesday off), but it’ll do my heart good to have something to post for the subs. Thank you for sticking around even if you just subbed off the 2814 upload and didn’t check anything else out, I still love you all.
