I lost my best friend yesterday. Mr. Bojangles crossed the rainbow bridge between 9-10am on the 10/10 portal, the day of the New Moon in Libra. (I did not find out until after the live ended yesterday) He completed a cycle and his fierce little spirit was ready to begin a new chapter. He fought until the very end.

Mr. Bojangles and I met one rainy winter night during a late Target run. I was grieving the loss of my girl, Miss Kitty Holiday, and he was a mange-ridden kitten bouncing and pouncing around the bushes in the parking lot. The vet said he needed medication for 30 days, so he curled up by the heater and decided to make himself at home — permanently.

Mr. Bojangles was loved by so many humans — including many of you. He loved tarot (he even picked cards like no other feline), but he mostly loved climbing like a true “tree cat,” snuggles and dances, he loved when I sang his special song, he liked teaser toys and tuna treats — he’d run to any can opening. He loved to lounge on the patio and chase lizards. He could sit on command.

He was mischievous, too! He loved outside and gave me many scares as he was an avid escape artist. One day, a neighbor knocked on my door with Bo in his arms and shyly confessed that Bo had been visiting him every day at 4pm for a TV-watching appointment. The show? Reruns of “The OC.”

We crossed the Atlantic together with his soul brother Zimmy, my little family, my boys, to begin a new life in the Azores. A move that has cost me literally Every. Single. Thing. Including my two boys. My anchors. My only connection to the home and life I once knew.

I am distraught. I wanted to go live today to answer your questions, but I cannot stop crying. Please share your favorite memories of Bo on the channel — whether it’s when he would come to the Leo “Roar!” or one of his shorts, anything.

Norovirus is going around my island something FIERCE, y’all, and although I thought I was out of the woods yesterday, unfortunately last night it reminded me I was most definitely NOT. So, I am going to delay another live until tomorrow 🤞🏽
