Sometimes we choose The Backup Plan: I decided to grow my family on my own. My gay best friend of over twenty years is my donor and my mom and I live together and are raising my son in a multi-generational home in Southern California.

Sometimes we DON'T choose The Backup Plan: Three weeks after returning from maternity leave, I got laid off. So I cashed in my 401k and started building something of my own: Wanderous, a climate-specific travel beauty brand.
