Have you ever read a scripture and knew without a shadow of a doubt that God was speaking to you?
When I first left the marriage and heard all the lies he was spreading, and those who entertained the lies knowing they were lies, I felt beyond angry. I couldn’t react the way I wanted to. I wanted to blast them all with the truth I knew about them. Although I felt justified, I knew that ultimately it would just look like another huge social media fight (and with the way my family is, it could turn into a street fight, possibly resulting in someone getting harmed or worse). God wouldn’t be glorified in any way.
I had to be quiet. That felt like real suffering to me. It’s one thing when people are spreading things and it’s the truth, but when it’s 100 percent lies, it hits different. Then I remembered how Jesus kept quiet, and He was perfect. I was praying and crying one day in 2019, and I came to this scripture.
Fast forward to January 13, 2022, the day before my court case. I was streaming a service, and the speaker read this scripture. I began to weep. I knew God was assuring me that I had suffered and that I was going to have victory in court, terminating the parental rights of the abuser.
Court wasn’t easy or seamless, but God gave me victory! I will share more on that later.
I want to encourage you, no matter what you’re facing, no matter how hurt you may feel, God can heal your heart if you give it to Him.
The suffering may seem intense, but it’s for a little while. He promises that He Himself will complete, confirm, strengthen, and establish you [making you what you ought to be]. He’s a Promise Keeper! You can trust Him. He won’t fail you. 💜
