Donkey Kong Bananza Release Special

REFERENCES/EASTER EGGS:

- The custom thumbnail and title card shows Diddy Kong, Donkey Kong and Pauline (the latter is dressed in her cowgirl outfit from "Mario Kart Tour" and wielding an NES Zapper) looking like badasses in one of the mines from "Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest".

- The story has some similarities to the story of the 2002 film "Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones", involving the threats of an organization threatening succession and the attempts to negotiate a resolution to the threats, to no avail.

- Candy Kong gives Pauline a drink called a Coconut Chill - the drink originated in the "Donkey Kong Country" episode 'The Big Chill Out' that Donkey Kong invented and he and Diddy Kong turned it into a popular local business on DK Island.

- While conversing with Candy Kong after recieving the Coconut Chill, Pauline mentions the events of the "Super Mario World" episode 'King Scoopa Koopa'.

- Bowser's meeting with his allies is depicted similar to Count Dooku's meeting from "Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones", both involving a major good guy character eavsdropping on a meeting and spilling the beans before being captured and resulting in a rescue.

- Wario's airship sets down on Banana Fairy Island, implied to be much larger than it's depiction in Donkey Kong 64.

- When Wario realizes Donkey Kong freed Candy Kong, Dixie Kong and Tiny Kong from the brig of the former's airship, he makes a reference to the most famous line in the 1968 film "Planet of the Apes": "Take your stinkin' paws off me, you damned, dirty ape!"

- The ending credits recreate the menu background graphics from "Donkey Kong 64" and uses the same font from said game for the "Created by PokeJediTrek" graphic. As "THE END" is shown in the KONG letter from "Donkey Kong Country" is shown, a TNT Barrel drops and explodes to black before the end screen.

BEHIND-THE-SCENES FACTS:

- I started working this shortly after my cover of "American Woman" by The Guess Who went public and it took me twelve days to finish. A few parts were rushed because I was worried about not finishing before July 17th.

Mario and Luigi's 14th Trip to the Beach

REFERENCES/EASTER EGGS:

- During the opening scene when Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Rosalina and Toad arrive, Mario is wearing his resort outfit from "Super Mario Odyssey"; Luigi is in his vacation outfit from "Mario Kart Tour", Peach is wearing her Sand, Cloud and Metro Kingdom outfits in the postgame to "Super Mario Odyssey", Daisy is wearing her first outfit in the 1993 film "Super Mario Bros.", Rosalina is wearing her concept guitarist outfit from "Super Mario Odyssey, Toad is wearing his touring outfit from "Mario Kart Tour".

- Peach and Toad's swimsuits are the same ones they wore in "The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3" episode 'Reign Storm' and '7 Continents for 7 Koopas'; everyone else's swimsuits are fan outfits.

- During the opening, Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Rosalina and Toad make comments are all the girls' canon swimsuits. The "personalized bikini" Daisy mentions is her swimwear variant from "Mario Kart World".

- The camera angle when John walks over Mario is similar to the opening cutscene of the mission 'Father/Son' in the 2013 video game "Grand Theft Auto V".

- The way volleyball is being played is similar to how it was played in the minigame 'Beach Volley Folley' from the 2002 video game "Mario Party 4".

- The Doom Sub is a red submarine Bowser used in "The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3" episodes 'The Ugly Mermaid' and 'The Venice Menace'.

- The underwater camera angle just before John is pulled into the water is supposed to be similar to Chrissie Watkins' last swim depicted in the opening scene of the 1975 film "Jaws".

- The lifeguard who blows her whistle and tells everyone to get out of the water due to what she thought was a shark attack is Tara Melissa Richards (aka Tara the Super Gamer Girl on YouTube) as a cameo.

- The latter half of the animation's runtime is based on the final act of the 1975 film "Jaws". Rosalina even reacts to the Doom Sub, similar to how Martin Brody reacted to the shark in said film and she says a similar quote: "Good thing we have a big enough boat", instead of "You're gonna need a bigger boat".

- The yacht Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Rosalina and Toad use is the same yacht they captured and stopped a collison course and explosion on the beach in Malibu, California as depicted in "Mario and Luigi's 8th Trip to the Beach" in 2019; it's different because of improved animation skills and a retcon.

- The camera angle when Penny and Dr. Crygor check out the damage to the engine room is a traceover of a cutaway from the opening cutscene from their stage in "WarioWare: Move It!" when they witness the Caresawayan drawing a tentacled creature.

- During the ending, Toad mentions the killing of Brian Thompson in December 2024 and calls the killer a Waluigi, referencing the fact that his name was Luigi Mangione and how bad his actions were.

GOOFS:

- As the Doom Sub extracts Dr. Crygor, Penny, Red, Ashley, Mona, Jimmy T., Cricket and Mantis, the Doom Sub briefly disappears before cutting to 5-Volt, 9-Volt, 18-Volt, Kat, Ana, Wario and Waluigi on the Doom Sub (as eventuality continuity).

- During the ending, Peach makes a comment on how Bowser is recruiting real worlders - her line is supposed to be "Recruiting real worlders to 'do' his evil bidding?".

BEHIND-THE-SCENES FACTS:

- I started working on this shortly after the premiere of the "Mario Kart World Release Special" and it took me nearly two weeks to finish. However, as mentioned by my previous post, it took me longer than expected because CyberLink Power Director 14, the editing software I used, gave me a little trouble.

- The intention to have John Fluery (aka Behonkiss or Behon) appear and betray Team Mario was to indicate my intention to make fun of him as an act of revenge for blocking me on X, despite not doing anything to make him do so. Kira Buckland, who coincidentally is from my hometown of Anchorage, Alaska, did some voiceover work in Behon's fan series, WarioWare: Tooned!

PokeJediTrek

Normally by now, on the summer solstice every year since 2014, I would a beach episode on YouTube in observance of said event where it's another sequel to the video from 2012: 'Mario and Luigi go to the Beach', but for those who wondering why there isn't one up yet on my YouTube channel, here's why:

It's taking me longer than expected. I started working on it shortly after premiering the 'Mario Kart World Release Special' and surprisingly took two weeks to draw all the frames and I AM LITERALLY ALMOST DONE WITH IT! I started editing it on Juneteenth and should have it done soon (I am, as of this post, animating the final act).

First, my Christmas episode from last year (2024), then my Easter episode from a couple of months ago - it's like keeping up with deadlines is no longer becoming a thing for me, no matter how far I plan my videos in advance. It's even becoming harder to balance my relationships with everybody I know with my work. It could be because I'm not as young I used to be. I hope it doesn't come to resignation/retiring/quitting/leaving altogether all because it's becoming too hard to keep up, plus how frustated I've grown over the lack of support.

I have three cooking videos planned for the summer and three music covers planned: one for the summer solstice, LGBTQ+ Pride and the fourth of July.

Plus, in my personal life, I have a goal to move out of the trailer I live in this year while there's still traction on the ground.

I hope to remain active on YouTube long after I'm through these obstacles.

REFERENCES/EASTER EGGS:

- The story is based on "The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3" episode 'Tag Team Trouble' where Toad and his cousins attempt to win the prize money from a wrestling match so Toad can donate it to an orphanage to make up for what he lost - unaware that the orphanage had it the whole time.

- The armored car hopper is a realistic recreation of YouTuber MSKFan15 (Gabriel Thomas) as a cameo.

- The man seen on Luigeena's cell phone is the late Lyle Azaldo as a reference to his appearance in "The Super Mario Bros. Super Show" live-action sketch 'Marianne & Luigeena' and how the girls had a crush on him.

- The race is based on the final act of "The Dukes of Hazzard" episode 'Luke's Love Story' where Luke Duke, Amy Creavy, Enos Strate and Cooter Davenport participate in the Hazzard Obstacle Derby. Turk Foley, Amy's former mechanic, secretly takes Cooter's place in the race and his actions are not unveiled until after Enos is knocked out of the race.

- The setting of the race is the Desert Kingdom from "The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!" episode 'The Great BMX Race'. Mario even mentions his stop at the Pasta Pit before returning to the race.

- Just before Peach and Toad walked up to Leo, Lulu and Pauline, the former mentions his grudge against Kat and Ana for my headcanon on the motive for his actions in their stage in the 2021 video game "WarioWare: Get It Together!"

- After Mario and Luigi discover that Peach and Toad were actually Mona and 9-Volt in disguise, Luigi mention the police car chase from the 1993 film "Super Mario Bros." while Mario brings up the Rainbow Road chase from the 2023 film "The Super Mario Bros. Movie".

- Just before Mona attempts knock Mario and Luigi into the ditch, she says "You lose, Mario Brothers!", similar to how General Grievous says "You lose, General Kenobi!" in the 2005 film 'Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith" just before using the electrostaff to shatter the window on the Invisible Hand's bridge and try to suck Obi-Wan, Anakin and Palpatine into space.

BEHIND-THE-SCENES FACTS:

- I came up with the concept of the story back when I started featuring WarioWare characters in my animations.

- I started this animation on May 2nd, 2025 and it took me almost a month to finish. I was VERY tight on time to have this finished in time for the release of "Mario Kart World" and the launch of the Switch 2.

- Cyber Link PowerDirector 14 (yes, I downgraded to save money on a new editing software when I got a new laptop for Christmas last year) gave me a little trouble trying to render at 1080p60, so I had to sacrifice the resolution, just to get it to render.

REFERENCES/EASTER EGGS:

- The opening scene when Luigi, Hat Kid and Bow Kid are rescued by Mustache Girl and they all escape just as Wario and Waluigi set off a frigid bomb on the Subcon Forest is based on the mission 'Anakin's Escape' from the 2002 video game "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" where Anakin and Bera Kazan are locked in a cage in a forest on a Kashyyyk moon, held by Dooku and Cydon Prax activates a Force Harvester and Anakin and Bera escape. Likewise, the battle is similar to "The Liberation of Kashyyyk" when Anakin, Bera and an army of Wookiees take their last stand against the Separatists before Republic reinforcements arrive.

- When Hat Kid calls Earth a myth, it's a reference to what the VSG 1 will reveal about Earth in "A Hat in Time".

- After Mustache Girl frees Luigi, Bow Kid and Hat Kid from the cage, she brings up an old moral: the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

- When Luigi tells Hat Kid, Bow Kid and Mustache Girl to hang on because it was going to take some serious New York City style driving is a reference to the Skybox International merch - trading card #48 (Sibling Car Thieves) of the 1993 film "Super Mario Bros."

- When Luigi kicks a Goomba off the upper deck of Waluigi's airship, the Goomba lets out a Wilhelm scream.

- When Luigi tells Waluigi to be Luigi'd, it's a reference what Luigi says to the Dry Bones after making the latter fall apart in the Dark Lands, as depicted in the 2023 film "The Super Mario Bros. Movie".

- As Penny is drying out Mona's clothes while the latter is in the bathtub warming up, Dr. Crygor updates the girls on the hijacking of Waluigi's airship - he calls Mustache Girl a "girl in red with a biologically impossible trait", referencing the real life fact that female individuals, no matter their age, can't grow facial hair.

- When Luigi reacts to Mario, Peach, Daisy, Rosalina and Toad floating down onto the upper deck of the captured airship, he responds with Mario's name - John Leguizamo archive audio from the 1993 film "Super Mario Bros." when he reacts to Mario's arrival from Brooklyn to Dinohattan.

- Daisy's response of "They?" out of confusion when before Luigi reveals that Hat Kid had a cellmate (Bow Kid) is a reference to the fact that her new voice actress, Giselle Fernandez, is non-binary (indiviuals who do not ID as male or female and go by pronouns of they/them).

- The establishing shot of an airship as it travels through a wormhole/warp zone depicts a rainbow overlay and the foggy warp zone from the 2023 film "The Super Mario Bros. Movie" in the background, plus color cycling like grabbing a Starman, similar to Mario's journey through the psychedelic landscape from Brooklyn to Dinohattan, as depicted in the 1993 film "Super Mario Bros."

- The characters Bowser are talking to during the ending are implied to the villains featured from franchises in my Christmas Crossovers.

- Mario and Luigi's relatives from the 2023 film "The Super Mario Bros. Movie" appear during the ending, appearing as they did in said source; Marianne and Luigeena are two of Mario and Luigi's cousins from "The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!" live-action sketch 'Marianne and Luigeena' who have a crush on Lyle Azaldo. They're designed to look like gender-swapped doppelgangers of Mario and Luigi as a reference to the fact that they were portrayed by Captain Lou Albano and Danny Wells in drag.

- The ending is an homage to the ending of the 1987 film "Planes, Trains and Automobiles" when Neil Page (played by Steve Martin) finally arrives in time for Thanksgiving dinner and has invited Del Griffith (played by John Candy) to show how much they bonded over the course of the events of the movie.

- The reaction shot of Mario and Luigi's niece (I headcanon she's a cousin; Arthur and Marie's daughter) is an implication that she might've made some friends.

GOOFS:

- When Wario sighs with relief that Mona survived falling out of the airship and was okay, the background isn't moving to create the illusion of being inside a vehicle.

- When Bowser throws a Bob-Omb at a fleeing Express Owl, the Bob-Omb is still visible, despite the fact that it went off.

BEHIND-THE-SCENES FACTS:

- This animation was supposed to be finished and up on YouTube by Good Friday, but it took me a little longer than normal to finish.

- The custom thumbnail, as well as some scenery frames and background, were screenshots taken via the Camera Badge from the Steam/PC version of "A Hat in Time".

- When Mona is being rescued, I attempted to have her enunciate Penny's name using a mishmash of phonetics from various Stephanie Sheh voice clips from "WarioWare Gold".

Super Mario Bros. x Donkey Kong x WarioWare - Of Yetis and Elevation

REFERENCES/EASTER EGGS:

- Eddie the Mean Old Yeti is a character from the 1998-2000 TV show "Donkey Kong Country" - he resides in the White Mountains (what Gorilla Glacier is called in the TV show). The episode "Cranky's Tickle Tonic" reveals that there are mine shafts that connect K. Rool's factory to the White Mountains.

- When holding Eddie the Mean Old Yeti captive, 18-Volt is wearing the same gloves he wore in 9-Volt's fifth artwork in "WarioWare: Get It Together"; 5-Volt is wearing snow clothes and a green peacoat, resembling her attire in the 2013 game "Game & Wario"; 9-Volt is wielding a sword and shield from his character trailer for "WarioWare Gold".

- The briefing for the plan rescue Eddie the Mean Old Yeti and find out what the Koopa Troop and Kremling Krew were up to took place in DK's Tree House, based on it's layout from the level 'Jungle Hijinx' from the 1994 game "Donkey Kong Country'.

- When Bowser is talking to Dribble and Spitz via two-way radio, Bowser's line has underscore symbols '_' in lieu of letters to indicate poor signal reception, similarly to E. Gadd's lines in "Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon" when Luigi is contact with him when in an area with poor signal reception.

- After jumping the mine shaft, Luigi acknowledges a saying from the US Department of Labor about the dangers of abandoned mines: "Stay out, stay safe".

- When climbing to higher elevations, Toad says "You feel that? Air's getting brisk"; DK replies "That means we're close"; it's similar to the mission 'Monkey Business' from 2013 video game "Grand Theft Auto V" when Dave Norton, Steve Haines and Michael De Santa are swimming through an underwater cooling tunnel.

- The scene when the other Kongs are worried about Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Rosalina, Toad, Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong mirrors the scene in the episode 'Legacy of Terror' from the 2008 TV show "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" when Anakin and Obi-Wan become concerned about Luminara.

- After breaking through the snow burying the cave, Mario compares the cold to Mount Kilimanjaro (despite the mountain's proximity to the equator, it still gets cold, snowy and barren at the top due to elevation).

- After Mario realizes Luigi's been captured, the former shouts out the latter's name - it's audio from the 1993 film "Super Mario Bros." when Mario reacts to Luigi jumping into the portal to Dinohattan (looks like a solid rock wall).

- When Luigi regains consciousness and discovers he's incarcerated in the capture cage Eddie the Mean Old Yeti was incarcerated in and learns the truth from Hat Kid and Bow Kid from "A Hat in Time", who are incarcerated in the cell next to him, it parallels the Kashyyyk Moon intro cutscene from the 2002 video game "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" when Anakin wakes up in a holding cell and learns the truth from Bera Kazan.

BEHIND-THE-SCENES FACTS:

- I started working on this animation on the eve of the start of Daylight Savings and it took me a little over three weeks to finish. If Part 2 is not up on YouTube and a premiere set for after this, it means it's incompelete and taking longer than expected.

Super Mario Bros. - Crime Wave Clyde Strikes Back

REFERENCES/EASTER EGGS:

- Crime Wave Clyde is a character from "The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3" episode 'Crimes R Us'. When he is introduced, he is revealed to be incarcerated for 12,423 years with no parole, until he is broken out by Bowser and the Koopalings and teaches the latter crime, only to be betrayed and sides with Mario and Luigi.

- The title of the animation "Crime Wave Clyde Strikes Back" is referring to the fact Crime Wave Clyde has sought the oppertunity to be given clemency in the real world by capturing a high-ranking member of the Koopa Troop and surrendering him to the police in the real world.

- The driver transporting Clyde is ‪@kahriqsalil‬ ; the first guard is ‪@MattDempseyMMA‬ ; the second guard is ‪@CarloNassar‬ ; all as cameos.

- Mario and Luigi's yellow van from the 2023 film "The Super Mario Bros. Movie" is Mario personal truck; their white van from the 1993 film "Super Mario Bros." is Luigi's personal truck.

- The car Clyde takes Bowser Jr. away in is a 1990 Chevrolet Camaro - 1990 being the year "The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3" aired, plus, smarter kidnappers would put their captives in the trunk of a sports/muscle car (since they sometimes will have back seats that can only be accessed by pushing the front seats forward).

- The license plate number on Clyde's "implied-to-be-stolen" car is 213 CWC - 213 being Clyde's prisoner number and CWC standing for Crime Wave Clyde.

- The extraction of Bowser Jr. from the car is similar to the "Dukes of Hazzard" episode 'Find Loretta Lynn' when Bo holds the General Lee steady, so Luke tie a chain around the trailer hitch around Loretta Lynn's RV, so Bo can put the General Lee in neutral, cut the engine and he and Luke can board the RV and stop the kidnappers from escaping with Loretta.

- After deciding to return Bowser Jr. to his father, 5-Volt tells 9-Volt to get in the SUV by getting off the hood and walking around, similar to Michael wanting Jimmy to get out of the back seat and walk around instead of climbing over in a cutscene from the "Grand Theft Auto V" mission 'Father/Son'.

- Bowser's throne is similar to his throne in the Bowser minigames from "Mario Party 4".

- When Mario answers his phone (his cell phone is hooked up to the radio via Bluetooth) during the ending, he responds with his first line in the 1993 film "Super Mario Bros."

- When Chris Meledandri calls Mario and Luigi during the ending, he quotes Edith's repeated line in "Despicable Me 2" - first said when she reacts to Margo flirting with Antonio, then during Gru and Lucy's wedding during the film's ending.

GOOFS:

- The driver's shirt is black, but during the cutaways of him in the bus, listening to the guards' conversation, his shirt is blue.

- When the guards and Clyde run away from the bus before it is hit by the train, the bus is slightly transparent under the railroad tracks.

- 5-Volt's SUV is bronze when seen from the left, but from the front, it's yellow.

- When Clyde reacts to Bowser Jr. being extracted, the background to create the illusion of a car being driven scrolls down; it should be scrolling horizontally.

BEHIND-THE-SCENES FACTS:

- I wrote the script in the notemaking app on my cell phone in December, certain I'd be getting a new laptop for Christmas. Needless to say, I did.

- I wanted to have this animation finished sooner, but it took me longer than I expected due to the fact that I had to set everything back up on my new laptop (redownloading CyberLink Power Director, paint.net, Mixcraft 7, etc.). Plus, two major windstorms hit my hometown of Anchorage, Alaska on January 12th and January 26th and I was too nervously focused on the consequences of the storm to do any work.

- This animation is dedicated to Dan Hennessey, who voiced Bully Koopa (Roy Koopa) in "The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3" and "Super Mario World". Crime Wave Clyde from the episode 'Crimes R Us' is also voiced by him.

PokeJediTrek's Christmas Special 2024

REFERENCE/EASTER EGGS:

- Herschel City, the base where on Uranus the bad guys are operating, is named after William Herschel, the astronomer who discovered Uranus on March 13th, 1781.

- The first phase of the invasion is based on the mission 'Desperate Gambit' from the 2002 video game "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" - taking down a shield protecting the enemy base on a moon orbiting the planet.

- The Imperial Officer commanding the lead AT-AT during the skirmish in the Inverness Corona on Miranda is John Fleury, aka Behonkiss or Behon on YouTube, as a cameo; as a means of making fun of him.

- The decision to have Omega participate in the battle is a reference to the epilogue of the series finale episode of "Star Wars: The Bad Batch", when we see her as a full-grown woman during the Galactic Civil War, deciding to join the Rebel Alliance as a pilot.

- The fact that 007 is driving a 1968 Buick Electra armed with laser guns and missile launchers through space is a reference to the recurring Easter Egg in the "Star Wars: Rogue Squadron" games from Factor 5. Even the license plate number is "KOELSH".

- The bombardment of the base after the shield goes down is similar to the bombardment of Chopper Base as depicted in the "Star Wars Rebels" episode 'Zero Hour'.

- Han and Lando mention the Kessel Run, as depicted in the 2018 film "Solo: A Star Wars Story", while being chased by two TIE Fighters.

- The Combat Speeder Ahsoka is driving with Rex as the gunner is the same speeder the Rebel Alliance uses in the 2004 video game "Star Wars Battlefront". The AAC-1's are combat tanks used by the Rebel Alliance in the 2005 video game "Star Wars Battlefront II".

- When Rex and Ahsoka notice Mona heading towards them, Ahsoka mentions the Battle of Christophsis from the 2008 film "Star Wars: The Clone Wars", the event where she and Rex met.

- Penny is using Jet Tank One (the water blaster she invented, which doubles as her primary movement method in "WarioWare: Get It Together!") for pouring water into the street and then having Ashley cast electricity magic at it when Ahsoka's speeder squadron drives over the water.

- The way Leo, Lulu and Rosalina hijack an AT-AT is similar to the way Chewbacca and those two Ewoks hijacked an AT-ST in the 1983 film "Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi".

- When Leo throws a stormtrooper out an AT-AT, the latter lets out a Wilhelm scream.

- Mario, Luigi, Peach and Daisy are fighting in space using Starship Mario, the hub of the 2010 video game "Super Mario Galaxy 2".

- Captain Picard comments on how he doesn't want to spend Christmas with children he never had, a reference to his first scenario when he's inside the Nexus in the 1994 film "Star Trek: Generations".

- Ebenezer Station, the name of the station with the superweapon that'll destroy the North Pole, is named after Ebenezer Scrooge, referring to his hatred for Christmas as depicted in the "Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol". The station resembles a black Christmas ornament (black for death) with Krampus horns (referring to how these bad guys are behaving).

- The attack run on Ebenezer Station is similar to the attack run on the main reactor of Death Star II in the 1983 film "Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi".

GOOFS:

- When the S-foils on Omega's B-Wing are opening, a white line is seen on top of the image area, indicating chromakey work.

- When the captain of the Redemption confirms to Luke that his fighter squadron's X-Wings are ready for takeoff, her* line is not italic, like it should be when characters' quotes are coming from unnatural sources (telepathy. radio, television, telephones, etc.).

*The captain of the Redemption is the same woman who commanded the Redemption in "Star Wars: Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader".

- After Falco tricks the missile into hitting its source, the turret is slightly transparent, and the explosion sound is out of sync.

- The narration between the destruction of Ebenezer Station and the return of the WarioWare employees who are minors to their homes in Diamond City contains a grammar error - "member" is misspelled as "memeber".

- During the credits, when Kevin MacLeod's incarnation of "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" (the music heard during the credits) is credited, the title is not italicized, like it should be for titles.

BEHIND-THE-SCENES FACTS:

- I started on this on November 4th (I wanted to start on the weekend before Halloween) because I had an incomplete script. Plus, recurring internet outages throughout most of the autumn. Read my last community post.

- This animation is dedicated to three recently deceased celebrities: Rachael Lillis (original voice of Misty and Jessie from the "Pokémon" anime), James Earl Jones (voice of Darth Vader in the original "Star Wars" trilogy, "Episode III: Revenge of the Sith", "Rebels", "Rogue One" and "Obi-Wan Kenobi") and Dame Maggie Smith (Professor Minerva McGonagall in the "Harry Potter" movies). This is my first animation to be dedicated to three recently deceased celebrities, as opposed to just one.

Normally, by now, I would have a Christmas-themed animation up on YouTube as a seasonal kickstarter, but for those that are wondering why you haven't seen one up yet since I normally premiere them on the first of December every year, here's why:

It's taking me longer than expected to finish. I started working on it later than I wanted to intitally start (the last weekend before Halloween), but unfortunately, I had an incomplete script, plus recurring Internet outages for most of the autumn making it difficult for me to browse reference images and consolidate my mobile data.

I wanted to post one more non-seasonal cover on YouTube after my cover of the song "If You Love Somebody Set Them Free" by Sting in November, but I'll have to postpone THAT one until after Christmas; I'll probably have it go public between Christmas and New Year's.

Unlike last year, when for the first time since 2014, I have been unable to finish a Christmas episode before Thanksgiving, I have been unable to finish a Christmas episode December 1st as well.
