I need your help! I'm traveling to a wedding in a few weeks with just a personal item, but I have a few products that I haven't tested yet. I'm going back and forth trying to decide what to bring, and I realized I should just ask you all 😊

Would you rather...
1️⃣ I bring along one of my favorite backpacks from tomtoc and test out their new packing cubes
2️⃣ try a rolling suitcase that is supposed to go under the seat in front of me. This one makes me really nervous, but it's apparently the dimensions for a personal item once you remove the wheels.

For my own comfort, I'm leaning towards the backpack... but it might be a good time to test the roller IRL 👀

Okayyyyy, I got some solid shampoo and conditioner to try 🥲🙂

I had a bad experience when I tried some last year and it kind of turned me off to the whole idea. So while my whole philosophy is bring what you already like and don’t change your routine just for travel… I do really want to find a solid version that I can use for the Camino next year.

After digging around on Reddit, I kept seeing the 100senses bar recommended because it foamed up well and didn’t leave any residue. But, it is expensive! (I think that’s another issue I have with solid stuff. It’s just so pricey). The actual bar is bigger than I expected it to be, so we’ll see how long it lasts and how it performs.

I also grabbed a pack of 2 shampoos and 1 conditioner from a local brand called Mikokos. These were smaller than expected, but I like the scents on them. They smell like a Whole Foods 😅 not what I would usually go for, but nice! I tried the yellow one last night and it foamed up nicely and left no residue. I have to say I’m pleasantly surprised.

I’ll keep you all updated! Hopefully this experience is better than the one last year.

Context: My hair is largely straight and fine, but very dense at the back so I need foam in order to coat the strands and get it truly clean.

I can’t believe how small this is!! I love my kindle and bring it on every trip, but I think I’m going to start bringing this instead. They added a backlight and a touchscreen to this model (this isn’t on past ones) and I just can’t get over how small this is. It’s barely bigger than a credit card.

I have *officially* decided that we're walking the Camino de Santiago next year!

Oh my gosh, I can't even explain how excited I am 🤪. The trip is over 6 months away, but I'm already thinking about what bag I'm going to bring, how many clothes *and* which ones I'm packing, my camera set up, the routes we want to take. I don't want to forward our luggage, so I have to keep it light (!!).

I'm aiming for 10-11 days starting from Porto.

I'm thinking maybe the first day or so along the coast and then switching to the Portuguese Central route. Has anyone else done a combo of these two caminos?
