practicing for Thailand 🤭

One of the highlights from our last trip to Thailand in 2023 was riding around Chiang Mai on scooters. I LOVED IT! But it’s been a few years and we’re rusty, so my partner had the amazing idea to rent one for a day before we leave.

We rode around for 4 hours and looked at the sites… I was worried we’d get rained on, but it didn’t even start raining until we dropped off the scooter at the end of the day!!

I’ve been in my little dungeon (home office) working non-stop to finish things before this trip, and ooooooh, this was such a fantastic break from all the chaos.

Now, we’re ready to scoot around Thailand!

We're headed to... 🇯🇵 Japan!

(and Thailand and Madrid 😅)

I'm working very, very hard to finish up the last long-form videos of this year and most of them will go up by the end of this month / early December at the latest... but by that time we'll already be on our trip.

We're spending 2.5 weeks in Japan (Tokyo, Hiroshima, Kyoto, Osaka), 1.5 weeks in Thailand (Chiang Mai), and a long layover in Madrid... and we're doing it all carry-on only. I hope you're excited for that packing video!

Since I only have a limited amount of time to film and edit before we leave, I'm not doing any gift guide / Black Friday / holiday promotion stuff. You all already know all of my favorite products, but if you have any questions or need recommendations, leave a comment.

the girls wanted to say “hey!”

You’ve probably seen these two in the background of videos this year… they just showed up at our house this year and decided it was their new home!

But did you know we actually have 2 more cats? You’ve probably seen Salvador in the background of some older videos, but our oldest cat, Seb, rarely makes appearances. He prefers to sleep in bed (and at 20 years old, I don’t blame him!)

We also have a dog and 3 chickens! And if I let my partner decide, we’d have a goat and geese as well 😂

Lots and lots (and lots) of bags ready to test!

Can I admit that I actually hate packing? The act of walking around and grabbing everything just irritates me and then I get distracted and it takes way longer than necessary. I think this is why I always wait until the last minute to pack for trips, because if I'm under a time crunch, then I have to stay focused and finish 😂.

Since I have a mountain of bags to test, I figured I'd gather all my packing supplies ONCE and test them all at the same time. I *think* this will make it a lot easier for me to finish up the rest of the review and filming later on!
