I'm too broke to fly business class (and I rarely get premium economy)... so here are my tips for surviving long-haul flights in that tiny economy seat 😂

I've flown business with the lay-flat seats TWICE in my life and it was incredible. Once was on a trip home from Paris when a friend gifted us miles so we could upgrade... the other time was a few weeks ago when we flew with ZIP, but I mean you get the lay-flat seat and that's literally it. They don't even give you water.

However, I do love upgrading to premium economy, especially for international flights!

When we took the longest commercial flight from NYC to Singapore, we flew premium economy. I don't think they even have normal economy seats on that flight. And then about a month ago, we played upgrade bingo on JAL, and got upgraded to Premium Economy for less than the typical rate.

All that said, I'm an economy girl. I'd rather spend that extra money on food or things to do when I get to the destination!

For my fellow economy warriors (lol), what are your hacks to making it through long flights in that tiny seat?

I need your help!

When I talk about products in videos, I get comments that people can't find the things I'm talking about.

I've always added a list of items with links in the description of the video, but I realize that people watching videos on their TV can't see this.

So in my last video, I added a QR code with a link to all of the the products for those of you who watch on the TV... but rather than listing all the products in the description, I've just put one link. This link goes to a list with all the products featured in the video and photos of each.

Do you all like this format... or should I keep putting individual links in the description as well?

Wishing you all a very happy and healthy new year! We’re coming to the end of our trip to Japan and Thailand. It’s been such a joy to run around and see and try new things for the last month. Now we’re at the that point in the trip where I’m sad to leave but happy to go home and see our pets. Missing you all and more videos to come in January!

practicing for Thailand 🤭

One of the highlights from our last trip to Thailand in 2023 was riding around Chiang Mai on scooters. I LOVED IT! But it’s been a few years and we’re rusty, so my partner had the amazing idea to rent one for a day before we leave.

We rode around for 4 hours and looked at the sites… I was worried we’d get rained on, but it didn’t even start raining until we dropped off the scooter at the end of the day!!

I’ve been in my little dungeon (home office) working non-stop to finish things before this trip, and ooooooh, this was such a fantastic break from all the chaos.

Now, we’re ready to scoot around Thailand!

We're headed to... 🇯🇵 Japan!

(and Thailand and Madrid 😅)

I'm working very, very hard to finish up the last long-form videos of this year and most of them will go up by the end of this month / early December at the latest... but by that time we'll already be on our trip.

We're spending 2.5 weeks in Japan (Tokyo, Hiroshima, Kyoto, Osaka), 1.5 weeks in Thailand (Chiang Mai), and a long layover in Madrid... and we're doing it all carry-on only. I hope you're excited for that packing video!

Since I only have a limited amount of time to film and edit before we leave, I'm not doing any gift guide / Black Friday / holiday promotion stuff. You all already know all of my favorite products, but if you have any questions or need recommendations, leave a comment.

the girls wanted to say “hey!”

You’ve probably seen these two in the background of videos this year… they just showed up at our house this year and decided it was their new home!

But did you know we actually have 2 more cats? You’ve probably seen Salvador in the background of some older videos, but our oldest cat, Seb, rarely makes appearances. He prefers to sleep in bed (and at 20 years old, I don’t blame him!)

We also have a dog and 3 chickens! And if I let my partner decide, we’d have a goat and geese as well 😂
