Homesick while onboard? You’re not alone. ❤️

One of the hardest parts of working at sea is being far from family, missing special occasions, and feeling alone after a long shift. Lahat ng seafarer dumadaan dito — even me. But remember, homesickness doesn’t mean you’re weak. It means mahal mo lang talaga ang mga taong iniwan mo para sa pangarap mo.

In this new video, I’m sharing real advice and ways on how to handle homesickness while working onboard — practical tips that helped me survive and stay strong during my contract.

If you’re currently onboard or preparing to join, this video is for you. Comment your experience — let’s support each other as one seafarer community. ⚓

If you have experience as a barista, bartender, or food service crew — which one should you use when applying for a cruise ship? 🤔

Many applicants make the mistake of choosing the position based on title, not skill.

Remember: choose the role where you are MOST confident and can truly perform under pressure.

New video is up now — this might help you decide your cruise ship path 🚢✨

It’s okay to apply for different jobs or positions on a cruise ship. However, my advice is to focus on one main position where you are strongest. This way, agencies and interviewers will not get confused about your skills and experience.

When you apply for too many different roles, it may look like you are not sure about your career path. But when you apply for the position that matches your real experience, it shows confidence and professionalism.

As long as you have a valid Certificate of Employment (COE) for that position, that is already a big advantage.

Also, make sure that:
• Your resume matches the position you are applying for
• Your skills and training support that role
• You can clearly explain your experience during the interview

Remember, it’s better to be focused and prepared than to apply everywhere without direction.

Choose the position where you can perform best, grow faster, and succeed on board.

🌟 Hospitality on a Cruise Ship 🌟

Working on a cruise ship is not just about skills—it’s about heart and attitude.

Every smile, every “Good morning,” every small act of kindness matters. Guests may forget your name, but they will never forget how you made them feel.

If you dream of working on a cruise ship, remember this:
✔ Be respectful
✔ Be patient
✔ Be hardworking
✔ Serve with sincerity

Hospitality opens doors. When you serve with passion, opportunities will follow. 💙🚢

Keep learning. Keep improving. Your time will come. 🙏💪
