There's something magical about the stories woven into traditional Indonesian dances that just hits different when you're also on a journey to discover your own roots.

The foundation of Betawi dance starts with Mendhak, a low standing position with knees bent. It's important to note these two stances and understand when to use them.
There are 2 ways to Mendhak
1. Mendhak Cokek - where the upper body is upright
2. Mendhak Topeng - where the upper body is lowered
