animator, artist, musician, writer, lover, fighter, etc. if you wanna reach me about anything, just send an email my way and I'll try and get back to you as soon as i get the chance (email is below)
hey folks, been a bit. sorry about the total radio silence. i've just been very busy with some other stuff that's ended up taking precedence over the uploads of this channel. i would expand on it, but honestly it's a WHOLE thing (not a bad thing necessarily, just something that's taken up pretty much all of my time as of the last few months). i won't ramble too long, i just wanted to give you guys a brief update on my status and to ensure you that i am, in fact, still alive and breathing. and don't worry, this isn't me announcing that i'm quitting animation or anything [insert very topical and witty brokeback mountain quote here]
despite everything, i've been continuing to polish my animation skills (more so now than ever before - i've even managed to free myself from the shackles of SFM, believe it or not). i just haven't had the chance to work on anything ultrakill-related since the gabriel in england thing on account of the aforementioned other stuff that's been taking up my time. rest assured though, i do want to return to making the occasional animation on here when things eventually slow down enough to do so - but for the time being, it's just very difficult to dedicate any time to it.
that being said, i appreciate everyone sticking around through this period. means a lot as always. hopefully i'll be able to return to doing occasional animations on here soon enough - but for now, just bear with me. thanks and take care :]
incoming post that has nothing at all to do with animation or ultrakill (ill have an update on that in a few days, hopefully. i've been a bit wrapped up in other matters) with fallout trending thanks to the show apparently not being beans (although i've yet to watch it myself) i feel like now would be the best time to just release this stupidly intricate moe cronin "dating" simulator that i made a couple of years ago since its just been festering on my hard drive collecting dust
looks like ferryman's the chosen one. honestly, i'm pretty happy that he won, i'm a big ferryman enjoyer and i think he'd be one of the more fun bosses to animate on account of how crazy he is in-game. gonna start drafting up some ideas for how this'll go, might do a few storyboards before jumping into SFM. ill keep you all posted, thanks to everyone who voted on it. ill try and run more polls like this in the future to give you guys a chance to have some input, it's pretty fun :]
just brainstorming and wanted some input from you guys on a potential animation idea that i may or may not do. of the following bosses (youtube only allows 5 poll choices), which would you want to see a yakuza-esque dynamic intro of? i think it'd be a fun way to practice animating more complex, movement-heavy sequences. and if you have no idea what im talking about when i say "yakuza-esque dynamic intro" then just pick whoever you think is the most kissable
feeling chattier and more productive than usual so here's another update on the current project (ill keep this one short and sweet). so far so good. since most of the animation is done i'm pretty much in the final stages of working on it. just need to finish animating one more shot, polish the others a little bit, and throw it all together in premiere pro to add background footage and all that good stuff. if all that goes well and my computer doesn't eat shit for some reason, it _should_ be ready by the weekend. till then the work continues. Stay Spunky!™
the previously mentioned short animation's good to go, should be up in an hour or two. in addition to that, here's a preview for the next project. while i usually tend to save these previews for later (mainly as a means to let everyone know that i'm not face down in a ditch on the side of the interstate), i felt like sharing at least one wip shot since this one's actually got a bit of work done for it already. hope you're hungry for more gabriel content. i won't go into specifics yet, but i will preemptively apologize to any of you from the UK - you're not off the hook just yet.
slander aside, that's all for now. i'll try and be back with another update within the next few weeks - hopefully sooner. as always, i'm grateful for the continued support and although i'm unable to
see/reply to every single thing you guys say, just know that i appreciate your praise/jokes/goofs/gaffs/etc. very much. now get the hell out of here. SCRAM!!
hey hey hey, it's me again. just here to drop another preview for the latest thing. it's admittedly gonna be a pretty short and simple animation on account of me being held up with other unrelated obligations (though don't worry, i do have a longer ultrakill animation in the works - i just wanted to put out something short since it'll probably take me a while to finish). regardless, i'm sure this one will get a gigglesnort out of a few of you folks. probably gonna post another goofy silly ultrakill mashup later today, so keep an eye out for that if you've enjoyed the others. they've been surprisingly entertaining to work on when taking a breather from animating. anyways that's all for the moment, I'll post another update once this animation's in its final stages - Stay Spunky™! (that's the new channel slogan if you don't like it then you can meet me out back behind the arbys and we'll settle it like men)
boy im exhausted i didnt think this one would take as long as it did, but im happy with how it ended up. should be up in the next ~30 minutes. hope you guys enjoy it :]
update on the latest thing before i get back into working on it. progress is going well and the project has actually ended up being far longer than i anticipated it to be (about 40 seconds as of right now, likely to be a few longer depending on how i go about the ending of it). this one's not following any sort of premade sound or script which is also why it's ended up being as long as it is. although most of my animations have been comedic, im thinking about going for a more creepy vibe overall (as the intro to 7-1 is freaky as hell anyways and i wanna replicate that feeling to some extent). while there may be a few little funny bits in there, it'll mainly be an experiment in doing more serious/thematic animations (not to say that this means all of my work from here out will be like that, of course).
without spoiling too much, here's a few progress shots + one showing easily one of the craziest poses i've ever replicated (one of the few times ive needed to remove the ik rig from a model to achieve a desired result). whether or not im actually gonna end up using/animating it mainly depends on how tedious/doable that is, how it looks, and whether sfm is gonna like me trying it simultaneously on a boatload of models. that being said, i hope i can incorporate it in the animation. either way, im excited to share it when it's ready and hope that it'll have been worth the wait :]
[warning: fairly lengthy slightly shitfaced 20k subs thank you post incoming] i would've made this post a few days ago, but I've been up in the mountains so wifi has been spotty. that being said, im genuinely thrilled to see that I've passed the 20k mark for subscriptions. i say it a lot (and I probably say that I say it a lot) but I really cant express just how much it means to me to have an audience that enjoys my work like you guys do. it's something that's kept my spirits high since I started doing this. i wish id been able to put out more stuff over the last few months, but outside factors have made that harder than expected. im still in a very odd stage in my life where ive been nailing down what i am gonna do to be a contributing member of society (aside from doing this which would truly be the ideal, albeit unrealistic career path). as mentioned a few months ago, ive had some personal issues dragging me down lately - but thankfully, ive learned to move past it and learned to take in the good with the bad (and find good IN that bad when possible). while I can't make any 100% concrete promises that ill be at top efficiency, I will still give it my all because I really do love what I do here. it's the enjoyment and support from you all that really makes me want to keep doing the silly stuff I do, so thank you again for sticking around through the rough and not-so-rough bits. you guys are funny and supportive as hell and I'm thankful that I've been able to get as far as I have, so thanks again id upload a screenshot of my upcoming animation, but as I'm away from my pc at the moment, you'll just have to take me on my word that it's been progressing nicely and that much has been done since my last update. im looking forward to discussing my thoughts on it when it's out :] and one more time, thanks again for all of your support. im looking forward to whatever comes next (which for me right this second is going to sleep at a healthy hour for once)
