Just a cheeky day trip to Cardiff—a rapid round trip from London! We zoomed through the city centre and popped into Cardiff Market, where a dead friendly local gave us a quick masterclass in Welsh. We skipped the castle interior because the ticket price is properly steep, and living in the UK, if you visited every castle, you’d be living on instant noodles—there are bloody loads of them! Standing outside was plenty. We wandered through the high streets and iconic arcades, finishing off inside Cardiff’s biggest shopping centre. Right, let’s get a shift on—another walk awaits before sunset! So come on then, join me!

I was popping into a Cardiff bakery for a quick pastel de nata when a Portuguese student orchestra started tuning up at the back. 🇵🇹

Moments later, they headed out to the street and put on a proper show. I’m talking about the Tuna Feminina de Medicina do Porto—traditional black cloaks, incredible energy, and absolute magic. One single day in Wales and we stumble across this? Pure luck!
