Phylogeny
A genus level cladogram mainly based on a study by Bret Boyd and collaborators published in 2022. The study only included species from 27 of the 46 extant genera recognised in the list of the International Ornithological Committee.[30][2] The cladogram here includes three additional ground dove genera (Claravis, Uropelia, Paraclaravis) based on an earlier study by Andrew Sweet and collaborators that was published in 2017.[2][31]
