Welcome to The Mixing Bowl Homestead. We started learning more about gardening and prepping because, in February 2017, I had a dream. I clearly heard the Lord telling me to "prepare, for a famine is coming to the land".
We were living in a townhouse at that time; we could not put everything into practice. So worked hard and saved all we could, and four years forward, the Lord blessed us with our home. Now, it is time to apply all I have been learning.

Hello Family.
Up and walking again. 🙏🙏🙏 God is good. I’m back working full time but virtually for now. Still cannot lift heavy things or I’ll pay the price. Still cannot drive. With the long Covid situation, let’s just say it comes in waves but less frequently than before.
I’ve changed my diet as much as I can. Doing PT for my back twice a month (the only time I can go). God is in control and in due season, it shall be well.
Here is what I did the last two days. Hopefully, I can get the video out this weekend. 🙏 canned some pork and beans as well as plain kidney beans.

Health update.
Hi everyone. As you know, I have been dealing with a back injury since the beginning of June. Here we are going into august and the improvements have been very slow.
So, I’m ditching the meds and going back to intermediate fasting IF 18/6 with raw vegan diet and alternating the fellowing week with IF 18/6 with low carb diet to shock my system. I will maintain that eating pattern until I see health results.
I have been fully raw before so I know I can do it. I will ensure to take my supplements and start exercising as soon as the doctors clears me.
Unfortunately, I developed vertigo out of nowhere over the weekend, which caused me to postpone the nerve blocking injection. So I got to thinking that God might be saving me from something worst and that’s when I decided to change my eating habits again and go back to what I know works for me.

Hello Mixing Bowl Family and Friends. It’s been a while since I posted a video. I started a new job and I am still trying to manage working full time again, homeschooling, ministry, and homesteading.
Here are pictures of what we are growing for the spring. Lord of the seedlings died because I wasn’t able to transplant them, but I am still getting a good harvest. The puppies didn’t help either as they kept getting into the raised beds.
