A little update on yesterday's video — and on Brownie. ❤️🐕

I took Brownie to the vet yesterday.

At home beforehand, she actually looked reasonably good apart from the lack of strength in her back legs. She was active, alert, I could pick her up without too many complaints, and she was even eating up her chicken-based pet food.

At the vet she behaved incredibly well. She received two injections and an IV drip, and I brought her home.

But once we got home, she was a completely different dog.

She had almost no energy to move herself. During the entire night she only changed position once and refused all food, although thankfully she did drink a good amount of water.

This morning, since around 6:00am, she hasn't moved. She doesn't seem to have the strength to lift her own head, I can't get her to drink, and when I tried to cuddle her she cried at me to show me it's very painful where the IV fluid is still around her back and shoulders.

The vet already told me that Brownie's condition is not good, so I'm heading back there now to ask them what is happening and what I should do.

I'm obviously extremely worried about her.

After she received her injections, I was sold her meds.
I really wish I had been able to give her the medication to eat with her food first. I had hoped that getting the medicine into her system before the injections would help her, and I can't help wondering whether things might have been different this morning if we'd managed to do that.

Right now, honestly, all I want to do is lie beside Brownie and comfort her. She must be frightened and definitely in pain, and I just want her to know that I'm here with her.

But first, back to the vet.

After that I'll come home and try to finish editing the video from yesterday's vet trip. It's nearly finished, but overheating has been causing horrible lag while editing, which hasn't helped.

And in the middle of all this, Nitro the cat decided get in to a streetfight with a local (cat) and managed to catch a mouse, brought it into the house, and gave me another 20 minutes of excitement that I really didn't need! 😂🐈

So that's why the video is late.

I'm hoping to get it uploaded today, and I'll be editing it in the air-conditioned room with Brownie beside me.

And once again, thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who has donated through my Ko-fi. Your generosity is helping me deal with exactly the kind of situation I never wanted to find myself in. I'm replying to all of you slowly but surely 😄

I'm still optimistic that she'll pull through, just like the last time, but please keep Brownie in your thoughts today. ❤️🐕

What is up guys?! Hope you are all doing great this morning/afternoon/evening!

Todays morning video...second attempt, will be up in the next hour. Unfortunately the first recorded footage, which was maybe a bit more entertaining, emotional, and involved in local village life early in the morning, got corrupted. The only way to use the memory card again was to format it, so the footage is lost forever. *sadface

6 hours ago I started filming the first attempt...
After watching this second attempt, I'm not happy with my presentation, lol.

I just want to say that I am NOT putting this video out asking for more donations... even though to me it looks a bit "E-Beggy".

I am EXTREMELY grateful and thankful for the wonderful donations already, and hope you guys know that I would never intentially film a begging type video... I was just a bit stressed, still unwell, emotional, and rushed past some of the points I wanted to expand on. A wee bit emotional aswell perhaps, Hahaha!

Next I'll be filming taking Brownie to the same vet as last time, try to to do a vlog video.

Positive vibes are still here guys, dont worry.

😔 I'M REALLY SORRY — I LOST TODAY'S VIDEO

I honestly don't know whether to laugh, cry, or throw this bloody camera in the river. 😂

I was just about to sit down and edit today's video when I discovered that the memory card has corrupted — and I've lost all of the footage.

The entire 30 minute walk from my home to the market, buying food, and returning home.
The emotional conversation about my dog, Brownie.
The part where I explained what's happening financially and why some of the money I had hoped to use towards a new phone may now have to go towards the vet.

It's all gone.

I'm absolutely gutted.

I've been trying so hard to document what's really happening in my life through this channel. Not just the nice Thailand scenery and markets, but the difficult stuff too.

And lately it feels like every time I try to make that happen, something goes wrong.

Every phone.
Every camera.
Memory cards.
Recording problems.
Equipment failing.

It's incredibly frustrating when YouTube is how I'm trying to make a living, because I need the equipment to work in order to tell the story.

And today, it didn't.

So I'm genuinely sorry if you were expecting that video. I know some of you have been following what's happening with my dog, and I really wanted to update you properly.

I'll try again.

Because apparently I'm not allowed to make this easy for myself. 🤦‍♂️😂

Hi Guys! Hope you are all having a fantastic day so far !

I'm trying to free up some space on my phone at the moment, and I've got a ridiculous amount of video footage sitting on it that I've never actually used!

So I'm going through it all and I'm going to start putting some of the better stuff up on the channel. There are clips of nature, golf, places I've visited, Thailand in general, and a few other things that I think some of you might find interesting.

I'm also having a bit of an experiment with different styles of videos.

For example, the video I'm putting up tonight is from an elephant rescue/orphanage camp I visited many times. 🐘

There's no music and no talking in this one. I decided to leave it completely natural, so all you'll hear is the sounds of the elephants, the water, birds and the surrounding jungle.

It's quite different from my usual videos, so I'd really like to know what you think of it.

And while I'm mentioning videos...

If you've been around for a while, or even if you are new to the clan, please have a look back through some of my older videos if you've missed any. There's quite a lot buried in the channel now!

Well guys... today's vlog was supposed to be my first proper "Day in the Life" video.

I filmed loads! 137 clips!
Off-loaded many new potted plants in the garden, visited the electric repair shop with a couple o fans, headed to the golf driving range, filmed the clubhouse, chatted about the costs, popped into a second-hand clothes shop, and I even finished the vlog back at the house by confidently saying...

"I'll get this edited and uploaded tonight!" 🤦‍♂️

Famous last words.

Instead, my Insta360 software decided it needed an update... which then decided my laptop needed a nervous breakdown. 😭

After hours of failed installs, crashes, and enough "muttering" to teach the neighbours some new English words, I've admitted defeat... for today.

I'm off to bed to sleep on it and will attack the problem with a fresh brain in the morning. 💪

Sorry to everyone who was expecting a new upload tonight. I genuinely appreciate your patience and support. I promise I'm not giving up—this vlog will see the light of day, even if I have to wrestle my laptop into submission! 😂
