Yannie Tan is a classical pianist and a 2024 Stanford graduate in Computer Science with a minor in Music. Since the age of 13, she has flown regularly to the Eastman School of Music to study under Van Cliburn Gold Medalist Alexander Kobrin, later continuing her training with Frederick Weldy and Elizabeth Schumann while at Stanford.

She has appeared as a soloist with the Lagrange Symphony Orchestra in Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No. 2 and Grieg’s Piano Concerto in A Minor and has performed at Weill Carnegie Hall. She has studied in masterclasses with Vadym Kolodenko, Emanuel Ax, Jerome Rose, and Dmitri Rachmanov. Yannie’s classical digital presence includes over 60 million views on YouTube, where she shares performances and educational content. An avid interpreter of Ravel’s La Valse, she has performed every available version and has arranged her own transcription for piano and orchestra, showcasing her commitment to both artistic tradition and creative expansion.
