Net Travel Propensity is the percentage of the total population that undertakes at least one trip during a specified period, usually one year.

*2. Gross Travel Propensity (GTP)*

Gross Travel Propensity is the total number of trips taken by the population during a specified period, expressed in relation to the total population, regardless of how many trips each person makes.

*3. Travel Frequency*

Travel Frequency refers to the average number of trips taken by each traveller during a specified period. It is the ratio of Gross Travel Propensity (GTP) to Net Travel Propensity (NTP).

*1. Supply Curve*

Definition: The supply curve is a graphical representation of the relationship between the price of a good and the quantity producers are willing and able to sell, keeping other factors constant.

Law: As price increases, quantity supplied increases.

Example: At β‚Ή50/kg, a farmer sells 100 kg of wheat. At β‚Ή60/kg, the farmer sells 150 kg.

2. Demand Curve

Definition: The demand curve is a graphical representation of the relationship between the price of a good and the quantity consumers are willing and able to buy, keeping other factors constant.

Law: As price increases, quantity demanded decreases.

Example: At β‚Ή50/kg, consumers buy 100 kg of apples. At β‚Ή60/kg, they buy only 80 kg.

3. Derived Demand

Definition: The substitution effect occurs when the price of one good changes, causing consumers to substitute it with another good.
