Boethius wrote this in 524 AD, C.S. Lewis said this book, The Consolation of Philosophy, was in his top 10 books that most influenced his life.
This morning, I was meditating on psalm 27, and then I had promised myself I would read more of Boethius today! Look how similar the passages are!
David wrote in 950BC
Boethius in 524 AD
Boethius —— > ❤️
“Grant, Oh Father, that my mind may rise to Thy sacred throne. Let it see the fountain of good; let it find light, so that the clear light of my soul may fix itself in Thee. Burn off the fogs and clouds of earth and shine through in Thy splendor. For Thou art the serenity, the tranquil peace of virtuous men. The sight of Thee is beginning and end; one guide, leader, path, and goal.”
Psalm 27:1-5 @ 950BC
“A Psalm of David. The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.
Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.
One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.
For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion, in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.”

“you may find yourself, (living)
in another part of the world.” 🌎
~ @TalkingHeads @davidbyrneofficial
When we LEAVE the “familiar” (the old messages and patterns that were said and shown to us by our parent’s actions towards us and each other in our childhood) — we FIND OURSELVES living in “another part of the world.”
Imagine living in a place where REAL Love is king!?!! Why not go to that expansive, loving, peaceful place now? If you “Go” there now, you will FIND yourself there!

Wow! Look what the AI said re my video, 5 minutes after I posted it…
This video from Dr. Cheryl Meier focuses on perseverance and finding strength in faith through challenging times (0:13). She emphasizes that individuals can overcome difficulties by turning to God and understanding their true identity as a "soul" (5:27), a "masterpiece of God" (5:44).
Key takeaways from the video include:
• The importance of quieting external voices and listening to the "still small voice of God" (3:53). This involves seeking God's kingdom and righteousness first, which will lead to other things being added to one's life without worry or despair (10:30).
• Letting go of the outcome and focusing on doing what is good, right, and just (11:50). This concept is illustrated by the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who chose not to bow down to the king regardless of the consequences (11:29).
• Releasing the need to please others and overcoming the "victim" mentality (12:18). Dr. Meier highlights how childhood experiences can lead to people-pleasing and toxic relationships, and encourages setting boundaries (25:21).
• The significance of the verse Micah 6:8, which outlines what the Lord requires: "to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God" (15:28). This verse serves as a reminder for alignment with God's will.
• The transformative power of accepting God's righteousness and letting go of shame (19:20). She explains that Christ took on human sin, making a way for reconciliation with God, so people don't have to carry their burdens (19:49).
• Drawing strength from Frodo's perseverance in *The Lord of the Rings* (32:40). Frodo's moment of clarity and determination to continue his quest, regardless of whether others knew, parallels the idea of seeking God's purpose beyond external validation (35:11). The video also mentions the symbolism of Frodo holding the light from Galadriel against his heart, representing inner light and God's presence (35:41).
• The concept of "confusion" as being "fused with" things that are less than God's divine love (27:53). Being "fused with the wholeness that is God" allows nothing to stop one from their path (28:11).
• A call to "wake up" and be present (38:26). The video encourages viewers to be vessels of love and walk humbly, divesting themselves of egotism, and continuously seeking God's will.
