I didn’t leave the cinema thinking about Greek mythology.

I left thinking about Jesus.

Watching The Odyssey reminded me of how different the God of the Bible is from the gods of mythology. It also reminded me that every human heart is searching for something greater—and I believe that search finds its answer in Christ.

This isn’t a movie review.

Today is Father’s Day, and this post made me think.❤️‍🩹😞

If I’m being honest, I’m not really talking to my dad right now.

It’s not because I hate him. I don’t. I love him, and I genuinely wish him well. But somewhere along the line, the bond, friendship, and intimacy just never developed. Now when his name pops up on my phone, I sometimes don’t even know what we would talk about.

Part of me feels I should call.
Part of me feels I don’t need to.

So today, I’m curious:

How is your relationship with your father?
Are you close?
Distant?
Healing?
Broken?

When God starts opening doors for you, stay focused. When the traction starts coming, stay focused. When people begin to notice what God placed inside you, stay focused.

Because sometimes elevation can distract you from the reason you started in the first place.

Never let opportunities replace intimacy with God. Never let visibility replace character. Never let momentum replace prayer.

The same God that opened the door is the God you still need while walking through it.

Remember the days nobody saw you. Remember the prayers. Remember the secret place. Remember the burden and the vision God gave you from the beginning.

Stay faithful. Stay grounded. Stay focused. Not every open door is meant to pull you away from God — some are meant to reveal Him through you. ✨
