Job Title: Database Developer
Location: Remote (India-based) - Contract Position

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Database Developer with 5-10 years of experience in database development and management. The ideal candidate will have expertise in database design, performance tuning, and working with large-scale databases. This is a remote opportunity for candidates based in India.

Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and manage databases, ensuring optimal performance and security.
Architect, develop, and maintain tables, views, procedures, functions, and packages.
Perform complex relational database queries using SQL (AWS RDS for PostgreSQL) and Oracle PL/SQL.
Optimize database performance and conduct proactive monitoring using AWS CloudWatch.
Implement ETL processes using tools like AWS Batch and AWS Glue.
Ensure database security, scalability, and minimal downtime through proactive maintenance.
Work with CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins deployment, and Git repositories.
Utilize Confluence for documentation and SmartDraw for database diagramming.
Apply Python skills for data manipulation, analysis, and transformation using Pandas and NumPy.
Integrate with databases using SQLAlchemy and PyODBC.
Collaborate within Agile/Scrum environments and maintain clear communication.

Must-Have Skills:
Strong experience in database modeling and design.
Expertise in database performance tuning and optimization.
Proficiency in AWS RDS for PostgreSQL and Oracle PL/SQL.
Experience with AWS CloudWatch and Aurora’s scaling and replication capabilities.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, and Git repositories.
Hands-on experience with ETL processes and tools.
Strong Python programming skills with libraries like Pandas, NumPy, SQLAlchemy, and PyODBC.
Experience with database documentation and visualization tools.

Good-to-Have Skills:
Experience with Big Data, data mining, machine learning, and natural language processing.
Exposure to advanced analytics and AI-driven database management.
