Merry Christmas everyone! Sorry for the light upload schedule, I’ve been busy getting gifts and everything for the people I love for Christmas. Also, been going to the doctor a lot and physical therapy since I slipped on ice at my job in the middle of December, so I’ve been busy doing all that. Once the holiday is over there will be FRESH and NEW content! I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and New Year!
Another successful year on Spotify! Please share your Spotify and YouTube Wrapped with me if I’m in it. I love seeing people who sent me theirs, it’s very humbling! DM me on Instagram @the.tripkeeper to send me them. Thank you all for watching here on YouTube and any other streaming platform I upload on!

In honor of Stranger Things 5 coming out tomorrow, here is a cool fact about my YouTube channel that is related to Stranger Things.
This song by Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein from Season 2 was my ultimate favorite and I always thought it was used perfectly and really captured the essence of the show when used regarding the great impact it adds to the already emotional scenes.
Anyways, I used this specific track to create the haunting background music in every single video. I’ve always been very knowledgeable when it comes to Audacity and sound editing in the software. I slowed it down, reverbed it, and it wouldn’t be the same without using the effect called “Paulstretch”.
What that does to the audio basically STRETCHES the audio a ton, no pun intended. The song is less than 4 minutes, but I only used a small section of it and paulstretched that part specially. It’s such a crazy and unique sound. It can turn something funny into sounding actually haunting. I used this effect all the time when I was sound editing more frequently and if used right, can be a very useful tool!
I hope y’all found that kinda interesting. I definitely get asked a lot for the music being used in my videos. While the ending is the only audio I actually made with an E chord progression and edited the rest to sound atmospheric in the completely GOATED Audacity.
The intro song I get asked every video what song it is. It is a very niche song titled “Alabama Railroad Town” by a very talented musician named Doug Firebaugh. It is an underrated piece of art from the mid 70s. There’s no good info on him to praise his work, but I did find one artist named Sandy Harless who I used in the intro before I officially stuck with Doug’s tune. Sandy’s was called “Knew Her Well” and I use these songs because it has the most beautiful instrument known to man, in my opinion, called the pedal steel guitar.
It is famously used in country music, so people tend to not give it the flowers it deserves. Funny enough though people like Jimmy Page and Jerry Garcia used the pedal steel in their music as well to show it’s not just a country instrument because it’s way more than that.
Okay I’m saying more than I wanted to lol but yeah that’s a fun fact to take home for you Trip Bugs. Have a great holiday and I’ll get some brand new content after the holiday most likely!
