Prince Amyn Muhammad Aga Khan was not only Imam Shah Karim Aga Khan’s brother, but also his close childhood companion. Both brothers received their personal spiritual upbringing directly under the guidance of Imam Sultan Muhammad Shah. During an interview, Prince Amyn Aga Khan recounted how his grandfather, Imam Sultan Muhammad Shah, personally oversaw their early upbringing by teaching them prayers, the meanings of the Quran, and the teachings of Islam. He fondly remembered standing behind Imam Shah Karim when he led the Eid prayer as a young boy. Prince Amyn remains with us today, may Allah bless him with health and longevity. (Ammen)

یہ کلام عشقِ حقیقی کا ایک ایسا باطنی سفر ہے جو انسان کو مادی دنیا کے وہم و گمان سے نکال کر معرفتِ الٰہی کے نور سے روشن کرتا ہے۔ شاعرِ کلام محبوبِ جان کے جس حسن کا تذکرہ کر رہے ہیں، وہ کوئی ظاہری یا فانی چیز نہیں بلکہ روح کا وہ ازلی جلوہ ہے جو صرف کامل معرفت حاصل کرنے والے سالکِ پر انکشاف ہوتا ہے۔ اس جمالِ کامل (جمیلِ کُل) کی کوئی دوسری نظیر ممکن ہی نہیں، اسی لیے یہ کسی الفاظ یا بیان کا محتاج نہیں۔ کائنات کا ہر ظاہر خواہ وہ سورج ہو یا چاند زوال کا پابند اور فنا ہونے والا ہے، مگر نورِ امام کا وہ روحانی خورشید ازل سے ابد تک یکساں درخشاں ہے، جس کو کبھی زوال چھو بھی نہیں سکتا۔
This spiritual kalam is an esoteric journey of divine love (Ishq-e-Haqiqi) that leads the seeker beyond the illusions of the material realm and illuminates them with the light of divine gnosis (Ma'rifat). The beauty of the Beloved described by the poet is not physical or temporal, but an eternal manifestation of the soul unveiled only to the seeker who attains spiritual completion. This absolute beauty (Jameel-e-Kul) is entirely peerless, defying description or words.
Every physical creation in the universe even the sun and the moon is bound to wither and fade, yet the spiritual sun of the Light of Imam (Noor-e-Imam) shines eternal from pre-existence to infinity, completely untouched by decline (zawaal).
