LIVE FROM ALASKA 🇺🇸

We're onboard Virgin Voyages' Brilliant Lady right now — sailed out of Seattle Sept 3rd, one way to Vancouver, on the ship's very first Alaska season.

Our stops: Sitka, Icy Strait Point, Skagway, Ketchikan, a glacier day, and a couple of sea days to catch our breath.

This is late-season Alaska, and it's a very different animal than a June sailing — fewer crowds, moodier skies, and the fall color is starting to turn.

Currently sailing the Douro in Portugal with AmaWaterways — and yes, we're going through locks that drop the ship almost 100 feet in some spots. Never gets old (and yes, that's people in the sundeck pool while sailing through the locks :)
The Douro is one of the most underrated river itineraries out there — terraced vineyards, tiny stone villages, and locks tighter than almost anywhere else in Europe. Most river cruisers never make it out here, so if you've been curious, now's the time to ask.
We were just on the Danube with Avalon a few months ago too, so happy to compare AmaWaterways vs. Avalon vs. anyone else while it's fresh — ship feel, excursions, food, pricing, all of it.

We boarded **Explora Journeys’ Explora II** today for an **Athens to Venice** itinerary — with stops in **Paros, Rhodes, Corfu, Hvar, and Rijeka, Croatia**.

Several of these are first-time ports for us, and this is also our **first time sailing Explora Journeys**, so we’re especially curious to see how it compares to lines like Celebrity, Azamara, Oceania, Viking, Virgin, and the more traditional luxury cruise lines. We've booked quite a few of you on Explora and the feedback has been quite positive.

First impressions from embarkation day? Honestly, very strong.

Boarding was smooth, the crew has been excellent, the ship is beautiful, and the food so far has been impressive. The only hiccup was an A/C issue in our suite, but that has already been resolved. So far, so good.

Now we want to know what **you** want us to look into.

Curious about the food? Cabins? Service? Dress code? Included drinks? Wi-Fi? Entertainment? Excursions? Overall vibe? Whether Explora feels “luxury” or just expensive?
