The World of Cats

Hello dear friends, today the (drain) that was placed on Sweet’s neck after her surgery, at the operation site, was removed. In about five days, her stitches will also be taken out.
Sweet is doing very well right now. She has started eating her food on her own and has fully regained her strength. She’s feeling much better and continues to recover beautifully.

The World of Cats

Hello dear friends,
Sweet went through a very difficult night yesterday. She kept meowing and trying to get out of her bed. The only time she would calm down was when I gently stroked her back, so I stayed by her side until 4 a.m. It was a long and exhausting night for her.
This morning, I took her to the vet. She received the necessary medications and injections, and the veterinarian said everything is going well. She is still a bit weak and in some pain, which is completely normal considering she had a serious surgery.
The good news is that she has started to eat a little today. This is a very positive sign and shows that her recovery has begun. We hope she will regain her strength quickly over the next few days.
The only thing bothering her right now is the plastic protective cone on her head, but she is slowly trying to get used to it.
Thank you all for your support and prayers.

The World of Cats

Hello dear friends,
Sweet’s surgery has been successfully completed. The polyp tissue completely filling her left middle ear, the polyp in her left ear canal, and the nasopharyngeal polyp on the left side connected to the Eustachian tube were all removed during the operation.
She is home now and still a bit weak from the anesthesia. She is not allowed to eat until tomorrow at noon. The hardest part is behind her, and the surgery went smoothly.
With my veterinarian’s permission, I’m sharing some footage from the operation. Thank you all so much for your support and prayers.
Her recovery may take around 10 days, possibly a little longer. After she fully heals, she will have a dental surgery, and we hope she will finally be completely healthy.

The World of Cats

Hello dear friends,
Today I would like to give you an update about Sweet and share some information about her surgery tomorrow.
As you know, we have been treating Sweet since January 19. I previously shared her MRI results, but I would like to briefly summarize them again. Her left middle ear is completely filled with infection, while the right ear is partially affected. There is a polyp completely blocking her left ear canal. In addition, a second polyp was detected behind her nose, in the nasopharyngeal area.
The infection has progressed into her inner ear on the left side, which is why she has been experiencing head tilt and balance problems. Almost all of her sinuses are inflamed (pansinusitis). The reason her nasal discharge has not improved is because the polyps and chronic infection are blocking normal sinus drainage.
Thankfully, the infection has not spread to her brain. That was our greatest relief. Her enlarged lymph nodes show that her immune system has been fighting this infection for a long time.
Tomorrow, Sweet will undergo a serious polyp removal surgery.
The cost of this surgery is 30,000 Turkish Lira (approximately 690 USD).
I asked for your support, and so far we have raised 759.46 USD, which equals approximately 33,036 TL. This means the donations collected are enough to fully cover the surgery.
Some of our friends donated 200 dollars, some donated 1 dollar. Regardless of the amount, every contribution — big or small — has played an important role in giving Sweet a chance to heal. I sincerely thank each and every one of you.
Sweet also has serious dental decay. If the doctors consider it safe, her dental treatment will be performed during the same surgery. If it is considered too risky, a separate dental extraction procedure will be scheduled about 10 days later. This second procedure, including clinic expenses, may cost around 10,000 Turkish Lira (approximately 200–300 USD). The payment to the veterinary clinic will be made after Sweet has fully recovered.
After Sweet’s treatment, I will continue helping and treating other sick street cats. If you would like to support this journey, you can contribute through the link below.buymeacoffee.com/theworldofcats/e/489641
Please keep Sweet in your thoughts and prayers

The World of Cats

Hello dear friends,
Sweet’s MRI results are in. The best news—and our biggest relief—is that her brain tissue is completely healthy. However, the report clearly explains why her condition hasn't improved with medication alone.
The MRI Findings:
Polyps (Masses): Detected in the middle ear and the nasopharynx.
Labyrinthitis: Inflammation in the left inner ear, which is causing her loss of balance.
Pansinusitis: Widespread inflammation throughout all of her sinuses.
Our vet has urged that these polyps be removed immediately. If they aren’t cleared now, the infection could eventually damage the bone tissue and spread to the brain, becoming life-threatening.
The Surgery and How You Can Help:
We have scheduled the surgery for this Saturday. This procedure will clear the polyps, allowing Sweet to breathe comfortably again. While her head tilt should improve, a slight tilt to the left may remain permanent.
The total cost is approximately $800. Thanks to your amazing support, I’ve already gathered $400, but I still need to raise the remaining $400 to cover the operation.
Please remember, even a $1 contribution is a huge step toward her recovery. If we can’t perform the surgery this Saturday, the next available appointment isn't for another two weeks—and we don't want to wait that long.

The World of Cats

Hello dear friends,
Today, I took Sweet to an MRI imaging center, where a brain MRI scan was performed. After that, we went directly to our veterinarian, and Sweet received her daily injections and medications. We are back home now; she has fully recovered from the anesthesia and is doing well. As advised by our veterinarian, I must not give her any food or water for 7 hours.
The MRI report will be delivered to my veterinarian and to me on Monday. On Monday, it will be clearly determined whether Sweet requires surgery, so we have to wait until then.
Today’s expenses, shared for full transparency:
Brain MRI scan: 10,900 TRY ($250.23)
Accumulated 5-day veterinary bill: Normally, this amount would have been much higher. However, because I care for street cats and took responsibility for Sweet, our veterinarian kindly gave us a significant discount. We paid 3,800 TRY ($87.24).
Total expenses: 14,700 TRY ($337.47)
In a post I shared yesterday, some people claimed that the donations collected for Sweet were used to pay my personal bills. To ensure complete transparency and to avoid any doubts, from now on I will share receipts for every expense made for Sweet and for other street cats.
Previously, $612 had been donated for Sweet.
From yesterday to today, an additional $200 has been donated.
With these contributions, total donations have reached $812. After today’s expenses, approximately $474 remains.
If Sweet needs surgery, this remaining amount will be used for the surgery and ongoing treatment costs. If surgery is not required, it will be used until her treatment is fully completed. Any remaining funds will be used to help other sick street cats, and all expenses will continue to be shared transparently with receipts.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support, kind messages, and prayers for Sweet. 🤍🐾

The World of Cats

Hello dear friends,
The street cat we rescued, Sweet, is fighting multiple health issues including dental problems, a respiratory infection, and a severe middle ear infection. Since the first day, we have spent $700 on clinic and other medical expenses.
Through the support campaign we recently launched, we have collected $612 so far. With this amount:
Tomorrow’s MRI scan: $248 will be paid for a brain examination
Clinic debt: Approximately $150–200 will be paid for veterinary bills from the past few days
Remaining balance: After these payments, $164 will remain in our fund
Based on tomorrow’s MRI results, it will become clear whether Sweet needs brain surgery.
If surgery is not required, the remaining $164 will be enough to cover the rest of her treatment, and any leftover funds will be used to help other cats.
However, if surgery is necessary, we are facing a very high cost. Please keep Sweet in your prayers. We truly hope the MRI results come back positive and that this major operation won’t be needed.
I am deeply grateful for your support.
I sincerely hope we receive good news for Sweet tomorrow.

The World of Cats

Hello dear viewers,
For the past few months, I’ve been doing my best to rescue sick stray cats and cover their treatment, care, and food. However, veterinary expenses are quite high.
Thanks to your support, I’ve been able to save several cats so far. Currently, I’m caring for a cat named Sweet whose treatment has taken much longer than expected. At first, I thought she only had a respiratory infection, but it turned out she also has a middle ear infection, dental problems, and a serious infection that could spread to her brain. Because of this, the costs have reached a level I can no longer handle on my own.
That’s why I kindly ask for your support—to help save Sweet and to continue helping other sick stray cats in the future. If you’d like to support or donate, you can do so through the link below.buymeacoffee.com/theworldofcats/e/506262
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

A Health Update on Sweet
Hi everyone, I wanted to share an update on Sweet’s treatment journey. Unfortunately, we’ve hit a bit of a roadblock and had to postpone her MRI for now.
While we planned to check if her ear infection had reached her brain, her recent blood work showed that anesthesia is currently too risky. Her liver value (ALT) is at 179, well above the safe limit, and her respiratory issues (coughing and nasal discharge) have resurfaced, putting extra strain on her lungs.
Our Current Priority:
We need to stabilize her before any imaging can be done. She has started a week of intensive antibiotic therapy at the clinic. At home, I’m giving her Phytovet Hepatic twice daily to help her liver recover. Her white blood cell count (WBC) remains high at 28.8, meaning her little body is still fighting a tough battle against infection.
The goal is to get her strong and healthy enough so she can safely undergo the MRI. Thank you for all your support and prayers—they mean the world to us. 🙏
