Hello dear friends,
I would like to give you an update about our sick tabby cat. Today, I spoke with our veterinarian and learned that his condition is getting much better. On the first day I rescued him, he stayed with me but could not eat anything because of the serious wounds and inflammation in his mouth. He also had a very bad odor coming from his mouth.
Now, the inflammation in his mouth has started to heal and go away. The best news is that he has started eating again, and he can even eat dry food now.
Tomorrow will be his fifth day at the veterinary clinic. After his final antibiotics and medications tomorrow, he will undergo dental surgery on the sixth day. Once he rests at the clinic for a few more days and regains his strength, I will take him back to his own area.
Right now, he is staying in a cage at the veterinary clinic. He seems a little sad, but this is the safest and best place for him at the moment.
Thank you all so much for your support, kind wishes, and prayers. ❤️

Hello dear friends; I would like to give you an update on our striped tabby cat, who is suffering from a severe mouth infection and decayed teeth. Today is the second day of his treatment.
I have some good news; one of the inpatient cats was discharged today. Since my space at home is limited, the vet suggested that our cat could stay at the clinic as an inpatient. I accepted this to better manage the isolation process. He will stay at the clinic for 10 days, receiving 5 days of antibiotics followed by dental surgery.
A small note: Some of our followers noticed that I use AI while preparing these posts. Since my English is not strong, I use AI to help me deliver my thoughts and our experiences to you in a clear and proper way. These posts are entirely based on my own stories. Thank you for your understanding.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who stands by us. I will keep you updated.

Hi everyone, today I came across a tabby stray cat in critical condition. His teeth are completely decayed and he has a severe mouth infection. He was so exhausted that he wouldn't have survived much longer on the streets due to hunger or infection. I immediately took him to the vet; he will undergo 5 days of antibiotic treatment followed by dental surgery. After his 10-day recovery, he will be returned to his territory.
However, I am currently facing a challenge. I am already caring for another kitten at home one that I previously tried to treat for a broken leg, but unfortunately, we had to amputate it as it couldn't be saved. The vet strictly warned that these two cats must not have any contact even their litter boxes must be separate to prevent the spread of infection. Since my space is limited, managing this isolation is quite difficult, but I will do my best to help him recover.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your support so far. If you would like to contribute to saving this life, you can provide support through the link below.buymeacoffee.com/theworldofcats/e/489641

Hello dear friends,
Yesterday marked 12 days since Güneş’s surgery, and thankfully everything is going well. We’ve also removed the stitches from her leg. She is doing very well now and is staying with me.
She will remain with me until I can find her a new home. If I’m unable to find her one, she will still stay with me, and I plan to take care of her for the rest of her life. Even though my space is limited, I could never bring myself to put her back out on the streets.
If you’d like to see Güneş’s latest condition, I’ve prepared a compilation video covering her journey from the very first day until now. I’ve shared it on my YouTube channel, and you can find the link below.
Thank you so much for all your support and prayers so far. 🤍https://youtu.be/YHB8qhms7LY

Merhaba arkadaşlar, bu paylaşımı öncelikle Türkçe olarak yapıyorum çünkü Güneş’in transfer süreci zor olduğu için ona Türkiye içinden bir yuva arıyoruz.
Takip edenler bilir; Güneş’i sokakta bacağı çok kötü durumda, ciddi kırıklarla bulmuştuk.

Hi everyone, I am posting this primarily in Turkish because, due to travel constraints, we are looking for a forever home for Güneş within Turkey.
As many of you know, I found this little kitten on the street with a severely broken leg. We tried everything to save it. After two surgeries and a long struggle, we unfortunately had to amputate the leg due to severe nerve damage.
Güneş is now a "tripod" kitty, but her spirit is stronger than ever! Currently, I am fostering her, but my space is very limited. In order for me to continue rescuing and treating other street cats in need, I need to find Güneş a permanent, loving home.

Hello everyone, here is an update on Güneş, whom we rescued with a severely broken leg on March 17th. We fought hard to save her leg, but medical necessity led us to a difficult decision.
Medical Update:
After her first surgery to place an implant, follow-up checks confirmed permanent nerve damage with no sensation in the lower part of her leg. Keeping a limb with no sensation would have led to chronic infections and open wounds from dragging. To ensure she lives a healthy, pain-free life, our veterinarians recommended that the leg be cut off (amputated). The surgery was performed yesterday; Güneş is recovering very fast, eating well, and is in good spirits today.
Financial Report
Thanks to your generosity, we raised over $1,000 USD. Here is the breakdown:
Sweet: Final dental surgery (her treatment is complete and she is adopted): 6,400 Turkish Lira (approx. $145 USD).
Güneş (Initial Care): First surgery (implant), daily treatments, and hospital stay: 17,000 Turkish Lira (approx. $386 USD).
Güneş (Final Care): Amputation surgery, anesthesia, and hospital fees: 16,000 Turkish Lira (approx. $364 USD).
Non-Clinical Expenses: Approx. $200 USD spent on essential supplies outside the clinic (medications, food, litter, etc.).
Totaling 39.400 Turkish Lira (approx. $895 USD) in clinical fees plus $200 USD in care, the entire donation (total approx. $1,095 USD) has been spent on their recovery. Clinical receipts are attached.

Hello dear friends,
I would like to share some updates regarding our little girl, Güneş. Unfortunately, I don’t have the most heartening news to share this time.
It has been 10 days since Güneş’s surgery. I took her to our veterinarian to have her stitches removed and for a general check-up. However, following the detailed examinations, it was found that the loss of sensation in her leg has not improved. She currently has no feeling in her leg at all. I am including a link to a short video at the end of this post, recorded during today's check-up, so you can see the situation for yourselves.
Due to this permanent loss of sensation, our veterinarian stated that the most appropriate course of action would be to amputate (remove) the leg. Even if we were to keep the leg, she would be unable to use it and would constantly drag it on the ground while moving. This would lead to persistent wounds, friction damage, and a high risk of infection in the future. Our vet explained that amputation would be best for her overall quality of life and that she will be able to lead a very comfortable and healthy life on three legs.
One Final Search for Alternatives
However, I am not ready to give up just yet. I have personally asked our veterinarian to conduct one final search before we finalize the decision for amputation. I informed him that if there is any other treatment method or a different specialized clinic that could potentially save her leg, I am prepared to do everything within my financial means to make it happen. Our vet will look into this one last time and will refer us elsewhere if there is a viable alternative. In the meantime, I am also personally researching other possible options.
Regarding Donations and Transparency:
To date, a total of $650 had been raised for Güneş’s treatment. A portion of this has already been spent, and as you know, I have shared all receipts in my previous posts. Recently, an additional $358 was contributed, bringing the total funds raised to just over $1,000.
All of these funds will be used strictly for Güneş’s ongoing treatment, any potential future surgeries, and her recovery needs. I want to thank everyone who has reached out and supported her so far. I will continue to share receipts for every cent spent throughout this process.
Thank you for your continued support and prayers.

Hello friends,
I would like to share the latest news regarding our little ones, Güneş and Sweet.
Güneş: Today is the 6th day since her surgery. For the first six days, I took her to the vet daily for all her injections and vitamins. The vet said I don't need to bring her back until Tuesday, when her stitches will be removed. Until then, I will continue to give her the prescribed cortisone pills at home. (I am sharing a photo of the medication as well.)
The final status of her leg will be clear by the 3rd week post-surgery. Unfortunately, there is no visible change yet. If the nerve damage persists by the 3-week mark, we will have to proceed with amputation. However, if we see even the slightest improvement, we will just remove the implant and do everything we can to save her leg.
I also want to give an update on Sweet: Sweet has fully recovered. I worked very hard to find her a permanent home, but unfortunately, I couldn't find one. I met a lady who can care for her in her garden and have handed her over to her care. Since the weather is getting warmer, I believe she will live comfortably in the garden. I will continue to visit her regularly.
Thank you for your support.

Hello dear friends,
Today, I took GUNEŞ to the vet for her first check-up after the surgery. As you know, an implant was placed in her leg, and we are doing everything we can for her recovery.
Here is the latest update:
Medical Care: Her bandages were changed today, and she received all her necessary vitamins and medications.
General Health: Her spirits are high! She is eating well and drinking her water. We are back home now, and she is resting comfortably.
The Critical Situation: Unfortunately, there is still a loss of sensation in the lower part of her leg (the paw area). If the nerve damage doesn't improve, there is a possibility that her leg may have to be amputated.
The next 10 days are crucial for us. Everything will become much clearer during this period. We truly need your prayers and positive energy so that she can keep her leg.
Thank you so much to everyone who supports us and cares for her. I will keep you updated on her progress. 🙏
