SmartBoom Weekly Wrap-Up: The Scoop & The Stir šŸŽ¢ No. 32

And we’re back, with a week that got off to a flying start šŸš€ā€¦ ish šŸ‘€

In the beginning of the week, news started circulating that Smart’s LATAM tour would be postponed yet again. But since nothing had been officially announced, Syra and Auralis fans decided to park the panic and look elsewhere while waiting for actual confirmation. And honestly… that turned out to be a good call, because the timeline was about to get very busy.

The photographer from Boom’s recent photoshoot suddenly decided to bless us all with more photos, and not just one or two. It turned into a full-on drip feed of visuals, each one somehow trying to outdo the last. And at that point it wasn’t even about ā€œthese look goodā€ anymore — it was more like collective disbelief, with Betus and Auralis trying to remember how breathing works.

And then Boom himself took it a step further. The very next day he went on an absolute sharing spree. A photo showing his Apricity tattoo on X, a short clip with a šŸ‹ clearly aimed at Betus, a return to the badminton court showcasing Auralis colours, and even a TikTok lip-syncing to a song about missing someone. And just when it seemed like it couldn’t escalate any further, he finished it all off with a post-sweat badminton photo and the caption: ā€œMiss me?ā€

And honestly… it’s been a while since Auralis lost composure that fast.

It was pure excitement and heartfelt joy. People connecting dots that may or may not exist, resurrecting old theories, and treating every post like it was a carefully crafted message. The delulu wasn’t just back — it was thriving. And at that point, every Auralis fan was waiting. Waiting for Smart.

And the very next day… he delivered.

Smart opened the day by posting on the one platform Boom hadn’t touched, with a simple ā€œsee you šŸ˜™ā€. Now logically, that could easily have been directed at fans attending the private event later that day, but logic had already left the building. Auralis were fully settled into their delulu universe and not ready to come back down 🄰

Clips from the event quickly started circulating, showing Smart smiling, chatting, and clearly enjoying time with fans both at the event and on fan calls.

The following day, Boom shifted the tone again, sharing photos and a video from home, giving Songkran blessings together with his mom — a much softer and more grounded moment.

Smart followed with a video dressed in traditional Thai attire, reaching toward viewers while a song of love and longing played in the background.

And somewhere in all of this… it felt like we had almost forgotten how the week had started.

Until reality hit.

NextStage officially announced that Smart’s LATAM tour would not be postponed, but cancelled. The reactions were instant. Some fans were furious, others deeply disappointed, while a few simply said they had seen it coming. And truthfully, this tour has been rocky from the very beginningšŸ˜”

For six months, LATAM fans have waited, hoped, and invested time, money, and energy into something that was postponed twice and now cancelled entirely. And every time, GIR has failed to show a basic level of communication and respect fans deserved. At this point, it’s no longer just frustration — it’s people leaving. We’ve seen fans stepping back in anger and even fan clubs shutting down because of GIR. And still, it feels like nothing has been learned.

Because right after all of this hit, Smart once again uploaded a series of Songkran photos, and honestly… the timing couldn’t have been worse. While fans were hurt, frustrated, and worried about everything happening around him, he was posting festive content, some even including pretty wild AI-generated elements. Many were left speechless. Some instantly blamed GIR, saying they controlled his account, others openly expressed disappointment, some quietly disappeared again, and some just wished him a happy Songkran.

A few tried to lighten the mood with edits and memes, but when Smart followed it up with a TikTok dance the day after in the same outfit — and another photo post again today on Weibo — most fans were left feeling disappointed.

Whether he was told to post or not, we don’t know. But he did use GIR’s hashtag, which he doesn’t always do. And usually, Smart is very good at de-escalating. This just wasn’t that. It felt horribly timed, poorly handled, and like a weak attempt to drown out the noise without addressing what actually caused it.

Instead of de-escalating it did almost the opposite. It gave haters enough fuel to go on another spree, while fans were left feeling hurt and disappointed, noticing a clear misalignment between what Smart was posting and the mood and worry surrounding everything right now.

And that’s the bigger issue, because this isn’t something a few posts can fix.

More and more fans are now starting to wonder if the ongoing lawsuit is already affecting decisions behind the scenes. From the lack of sponsors at the recent private event, to no trending activities, and now the cancellation of the LATAM tour. And in the middle of all of this, GIR has still not said a single word.

No statement. No clarification. Nothing.

And considering how vocal they once were, throwing statements left and right, it’s honestly almost impressive how silent they’ve suddenly become. Seemingly leaving Smart, their biggest artist, to take the full impact for something that is essentially and completely their responsibility to handle.

So here we are. Waiting. Hoping for some kind of response, some form of acknowledgment from GIR… but at this point, it almost feels more likely that snow will fall during Songkran than GIR stepping up as a company instead of throwing their artist into the crossfire.

Until next week šŸ–¤šŸ’™šŸ©·āœØ

SmartBoom Weekly Wrap-Up: The Scoop & The Stir šŸŽ¢ No. 31

Last week we left off with Smart in the middle of his media visits… and was that random? Absolutely not. Because after so many chaotic weeks, I think we deserve to start this one on a good and positive note — and Smart absolutely delivered. His performance on T-Pop Stage was smooth, confident, and honestly just really well done šŸ’Ŗ

Boom’s camp has been relatively quiet for some time now, and for a while it honestly felt like getting whiplash trying to follow the reactions. On one side, you have thoughtful and encouraging messages — fans wishing him good mornings, good days, and sweet dreams. And on the other side, you have anger, demands, and frustration directed toward the companies and the lack of information regarding his role in Akina.

But all of that seemed to dissolve, at least for a moment, when news broke that Boom would be making an appearance in Way To You. The excitement quickly took over, and for a while, that became the main focus.

Of course, it didn’t last long...

A few hours later, Tailai posted an update — Akina was no longer Akina, but had now been renamed Nour the Series, and the new cast was officially announced on X. Many fans urged others to immediately unfollow the account, but the timing of the two events suddenly didn’t seem like much of a coincidence. Because aside from a few bursts of outrage directed at Tailai and WeTV, most Betus fans stayed focused on Boom’s IG story updates and his appearance in Way To You, even urging each other not to give the new series announcement any attention.

However… that didn’t last either.

The following day, the reactions really hit. Fans fully released their frustration over the recasting and the wording used in the press conference. It felt like everyone joined the discussion in one way or another — even Syra fans who know Boom from the Top Form days couldn’t hold back from commenting.

But just like I’ve said before — no one seems to de-escalate quite like Boom and Smart.

Boom uploaded photos of himself getting ready for a photoshoot, followed by a cute short clip of him happily watching a red balloon fly away. And Smart shared more moments from his media visits. And slowly but surely, that started shifting the energy again.

Eagle-eyed fans also spotted a new tattoo, and theories quickly spread trying to figure out what it was. Later in the week, Boom himself revealed two words he had gotten tattooed: ā€œFaithā€ and ā€œApricity.ā€

For quite some time now, it hasn’t really been delulu filling the space at Auralis, but more reminiscence — looking back at moments that brought joy. From seeing Smart or Boom watching Auralis edits, to small details like a dog keychain on a bag, old plushies from the SmartBoom era still being kept, or the way they still somehow manage to post strikingly close to each otheršŸ¤

But this week… a little spark of delulu returned✨

From them using the same songs, to fans analysing words, tattoos, and even flowers down to the smallest detail — and of course, we are back to connecting jewellery again. Whether any of it means anything… who knows. But a small warmth definitely spread across the fandom again🄰

On Smart’s side, things continue to be somewhat busy.

He uploaded another dance TikTok to SWIM by BTS, as well as the dance tutorial for All Night. And this week especially, Smart has been on a serious sharing spree when it comes to All Night — so much so that it honestly makes you wonder what exactly GIR is up to at the moment, because they are not nearly as active when it comes to the actual promo…

GIR did, however, upload a homemade All Night Songkran edition video… and across the board fans collectively didn’t know what hit them with the amount of colour, energy, and dance moves that suddenly dropped šŸ˜…

One thing GIR may — or hopefully are — working on is a playlist for the behind-the-scenes videos on their YouTube channel. Because finding those videos is way too difficult unless a direct link is shared. A playlist would make them so much more visible.

And I’ll be a little self-critical here as well, because I could definitely improve the structure on this channel too — but then again, this isn’t exactly my full-time jobšŸ˜‰

That being said… there is never a dull moment.

Because this channel suddenly saw a lot of comments disappear across several uploaded shorts — and while I had my fun chatting with YouTube support for the last couple of days and learning just how many things can remove comments… they do seem to be back again 🄳

And just like that, we were heading toward the end of the week once again, and I honestly thought we had had our last action… but boy was I wrong!

Because Boom dropped photos from the previously teased photoshoot — and once again, no one was preparedšŸ‘€

Because that turned out to be an insane photoshoot — and honestly, well done BoomšŸ’ŖšŸ”„ Some of those photos could have been taken straight out of a Calvin Klein ad… and honestly, I hope they notice him!

But just as Betus and Auralis were trying to recover from that — Smart decided to upload a shirtless photo from home as well. And at that point, it genuinely felt like Syra and Auralis collectively lost all ability to think or function.

And that’s where I’ll leave it for this week. Me quietly battling YouTube’s limit of only 10 photos per post. But what a luxury problemšŸ˜†

We started with something great — and somehow, we’re ending on something great as well. So let’s enjoy that feeling and bask in it for as long as we can… because we never quite know what tomorrow might bring.

Until next week šŸ–¤šŸ’™šŸ©·āœØ

Smartboom Auralis

SmartBoom Weekly Wrap-Up: The Scoop & The Stir šŸŽ¢ No. 30

And we’re back — with a week that didn’t bring much in terms of events, but definitely brought a lot of noise šŸ™„

The removal of Boom from Akina is still sitting heavily with many fans. And when it was announced that Boom would still be attending the Percy event in April, the initial reaction was outrage. Because how can they remove him from Akina with the reasoning that they want to focus on his health — only to still go through with this event?

At the same time, only a limited number of seats were available, and the event quickly sold out ✨

And speaking of outcries…

Fans had a very similar reaction to Smart’s upcoming event at the end of April in Shenzhen. Not only does the schedule seem to stretch far too long, but even the ticketing process created issues.

A Chinese fan club of Smart was in charge of announcing the requirements, and some of them were… quite out of the ordinary. Among other things, this included a minimum spending requirement on merchandise, a vetting process to ensure fans were ā€œreal fans,ā€ and more.

Auralis reacted quickly, once again expressing that they no longer felt welcome. And after a few hours, the restrictions were lifted.

However, that didn’t calm things down — because shortly after, Syra turned their frustration toward Auralis once again, lashing out not only at them but at GIR as well.

Betus also added fuel to the situation, pointing out that Smart was now doing a two-day event — something that had previously been planned for Boom, which at the time received a lot of negative reactions.

And just like that, the fan fighting was once again flourishing across the timelines, with some fans once again asking for all the hate to stop.

And it’s not only the fan fighting — which, unfortunately, is nothing new. Something else a bit worrying has started showing itself as well.

Last week, an official fan club for Boom decided to shut down due to personal reasons, and this week an official fan club for Smart decided to go into rest mode. Not because of personal reasons, but because of GIR’s management and the lack of respect for fans that they have felt for far too long.

Fan fighting is one thing — but maybe companies should start paying a bit more attention when fan clubs begin shutting down😣

But the timelines also had some brighter moments.

Boom has been trending multiple times this week, with both Betus and Auralis organising support projects. Betus helped get Boom trending by sharing, among other things, delicious-looking food, while Auralis later created a flower trend for him.

Smart also made it onto the trending list this week, and it does make you reminisce about the old days — how hard everyone worked to get there — and now it’s almost a weekly occurrence 🄹

And honestly… imagine one day if a support trend could happen with both Betus and Auralis — or Syra and Auralis — joining together. Wouldn’t that be great 🄰

Boom himself also uploaded a more artistic photo series. It stood out immediately — black and white, more melancholic, with Boom not looking directly into the camera and with the text ā€œif it cost my soul... then take it.ā€ But later in the week, he returned in colour, smiling softly with his mother by his sidešŸ¤

On Smart’s side, things have been steadily active.

He uploaded more energetic TikTok dances and also appeared on other IG profiles — including Kazz Magazine, which shared a photo collection from his interview connected to Low Batt.

Smart also appeared on MoonlightGlow’s IG together with four other actors, with the account thanking him for attending the event. The comment section quickly turned into a support space for Smart, and some fans even began hoping that MoonlightGlow might have him in mind for a future project šŸ‘€ — though for now, that remains speculation.

However, concern from fans also grew after a short upload from one of the GIR team members. The post included a cartoon of a wolf and a pig with the text: ā€œthe wolf is cruel to the giant pig.ā€

Naturally, this led to a lot of worry given everything that's going on. Some fans also pointed out that Smart seemed a bit down in the clip. But what the post actually meant — or why it was shared in the first place — remains unclear.

Smart also posted an April Fools video with coworkers. While it was likely meant as a lighthearted joke — as most things are on that day — many fans didn’t quite receive it that way. While a few found it funny, others chose not to engage with it and many expressed that it felt truly misplaced given everything that is currently happening.

Smart may very well have intended to make people smile — to bring a bit of lightness into a heavy moment. But timing matters, and with emotions still running all over the place and fans still very worried about the ongoing lawsuit, the reaction was understandably mixed.

But April 1st also kicked off Smart’s schedule for the month, and as of today, he is continuing with a packed schedule of media visits for All NightšŸ’Ŗ Let's Gooooo✨

And finally, a bit of warmth hit the Auralis heart this week when both Smart and Boom posted beautiful sky photos shortly after one another — one on IG, the other on X. Interestingly, this time Smart was the one posting on X.

It didn’t take long before Auralis connected the two posts as being ā€œunder the same sky.ā€

And speaking of skies, the SmartBoom FC is currently collecting personally made stars for ā€œThe Auralis Storyā€ with deadline tomorrow. For anyone interested in submitting your star you can read more about it here: youtube.com/post/UgkxgpnVywcn_arh_BIo5irony0sjTyNI…

And on that warm and loving note, we end this week. Let’s hope for more love and support through next week — and a little less hate šŸ¤ž

✨The Kittenpups✨ Story time

So I was supposed to start writing the weekly wrap-up… but instead I ended up writing my first — let’s call it — fictive story.

So yeah… that happened šŸ˜…

Enjoy this little piece of my procrastination… or just skip šŸ˜‰

-----------

There once was a cat without a home. One day, it was invited into a big house, and there it met a pup who did have a home of its own, but was only there to play.

At first, their owners didn’t give them much attention. They were just left to themselves. But it didn’t take long before something started to shift, because the chemistry between them was undeniable. The pup with its bright, bouncing energy, and the cat with its soft, lingering clinginess, it just worked. And before anyone really realised it, everyone was already watching, already smiling, already a little bit attached.

Together, their laughter felt bigger than them, like it could lift the heaviest clouds and somehow make the sky feel lighter. Their owners noticed too, and soon they started arranging more, more moments, more reasons for them to stay side by side. They even gave them children of their own. Children born from that quiet, obvious bond between them, something in between, a mix of two different worlds that somehow still fit.

And for a while, everyone was happy. Everyone felt loved.

But then the owners started fighting. Loudly. And things began to change. Something broke. And in the end, the pair was forced apart. The cat was sent back to its own kittens, the pup to its puppies, and their shared children, the kittenpups, were left in the middle, not knowing where they belonged or which way to go, quietly calling out for their parents.

There was anger. Frustration thrown at the owners, but they didn’t listen.

The cat was no longer allowed to acknowledge its own kittenpups, not by name, not even in passing. The children cried for their cat, waited and hoped, but in the end only silence came back, and something that felt a lot like hurt. Some kittenpups left quietly, tails tucked and ears lowered. Others curled into themselves, waiting for a day that might never come, still hoping for the moment their cat would look at them again, smile, and call them by name. And some let go of that last part of themselves, shedding the feline pieces they held onto, choosing instead to become full pups.

Now the pup’s owner was happy, watching the pup’s litter grow, pleased with the kittenpups that stayed. And so both owners continued planning and arranging new things for the cat and the pup, moving them forward on separate paths as if nothing had happened.

Time passed, but not quietly. Because the kitties, the pups, and the kittenpups kept fighting. The kitties and pups fought each other like it was in their nature, and the pups and kitties fought with the kittenpups, who fought back. All the scratching and biting left so many hurt, and once again many kittenpups left feeling defeated, feeling no support, no love.

And the cat and the pup, they tried. In the small ways they still could, in glances, in careful words, in things left unsaid but still felt, they tried to show that the love hadn’t disappeared, that it hadn’t been erased.

But they were hurting too. Still processing, still missing something they couldn’t quite reach, still carrying that quiet regret of how everything had fallen apart.

And even now, after all this time, many of the kittenpups are left with scars from the fighting and the defending, but they still support their cat and pup and each other the best they can. They continue to cheer for them, even on the days when they themselves are feeling low.

They make sure to talk about their parents, so much that it almost overflows, hoping in some way that their parents can still feel that love and support. They make videos, reminiscing about happier times to lift the spirits, comforting each other through the difficult ones, and continuing to wait.

Because even if things have changed, the love that created them is still there and so they wait.

And with it, the hope that maybe one day something will shift, a door will open, and their mommy cat and daddy pup will somehow find their way back to each other…

and once again come back homešŸ–¤šŸ©·šŸ’™āœØ

Smartboom Auralis

SmartBoom Weekly Wrap-Up: The Scoop & The Stir šŸŽ¢ No. 29

And here we are — back again with a week that completely threw us off.

Let’s start with something good. While Smart’s new single and MV took a major hit after the press conference last week, the streaming numbers have gone through the roof since and are currently sitting at over 550,000 🄳

Smart quickly jetted off to China for his event, once again balancing the dual sides of himself — the sweet and the hot. Although a few emotional moments slipped out when Smart spoke with fans, the event was full of cute moments, some hip-thrusting dance moves, and countless beautiful flower arrangements.

And while spring was in the air at Smart’s event, everyone was getting friendly at Boom’s event in Thailand. Fans were ecstatic to see him again after the long break, and Boom was smiling, seemingly happy to once again meet everyone — even proudly showing off his very first homemade cupcake.

Many fan videos showed just how much people care for him, how much they wish him well now and in the future, and how worried they have been. With all of this concern, a few emotional moments also surfaced — and truthfully, the road hasn’t been easy for any fan, but it certainly hasn’t been easy for Smart and Boom either.

Boom was also more active on X than he has been in a while, posting and reposting a little from the event, as well as sharing a photo of himself in a tank top, thanking everyone for the event and adding the more reflective line: ā€œEvery scar is proof I didn’t run šŸ–¤ā€
And of course, later in the week we got our daily dose of food pics šŸ˜‹

Boom also posted a collaboration with Anker Soundcore Thailand, sporting some very bright colours — a nice little pop of energy in the middle of everything.

Right after Smart’s event had ended in China, he was already on his way to the airport, catching the first flight back to Thailand in order to perform at his first halftime show at 3 Fight 3 Basket Boy. Smart was seen practicing early in the day, and there must have been quite a few nerves there considering how every eye — both supportive and critical — seems to be on him at the moment.

But Smart absolutely killed it šŸ”„ Performing All Night and Bleed Cold… well, I was going to say ā€œwithout a sweat,ā€ but honestly, he looked quite hot — but you know what I mean. The performance was spot on and quickly gathered over 5,000 posts on X 🤩

GIR also followed up by releasing a short ā€œBehind the Song: All Nightā€ on YouTube, giving a small extra glimpse into the process behind the track.

After that, both Smart and Boom quietly disappeared again, only occasionally showing up while watching fan edits. But honestly, it didn’t matter — fans were left rewatching, gushing over the same clips, and enjoying every new angle that surfaced šŸ˜

Smart later uploaded some relaxing photos, seemingly having taken a well-needed break, while Betus started asking for a clearer plan for Boom — especially since he has spoken about wanting to work, yet nothing new has been made public regarding Akina.

Everything seemed to have settled a little…

Auralis even celebrated its 10-month anniversary — which, honestly, feels like a celebration not only of love, but also of the strength and resilience this fandom has shown šŸ’ŖāœØ

And then Headliner dropped the news...

They announced that Boom would temporarily step back from selected engagements to ensure optimal readiness for upcoming projects due to the current situation.

Some fans were quick to send support and well wishes, while others were left with a big question mark — especially considering how well his event earlier in the week had gone.

But before anyone had even finished processing that one, WeTV announced that Boom would no longer be part of Akina, and that a replacement would be found for his role to ensure the production of the series could continue as planned. Considering that filming was supposed to start back in January, I don’t even know what that means šŸ˜’

The timeline went up in flames — and not in a good way.

For many fans, it feels clear that something happened earlier this year between Boom and Akina. From Boom’s ā€œShould I give upā€ post, to the removal of pinned content, and the struggles he has openly shown since — it has been a difficult situation to watch unfold.

Many had hoped things had been resolved when he pinned a post again and mentioned Akina at TBO. But this week made it clear that certainly wasn’t the case.

And here we are — at the end of another week — once again being hit from all different directions. And honestly, I don’t know why we just can’t seem to catch a break.

Boom once said food makes him the happiest… so honestly, go for it! Tackle that buffet. Eat the whole cake. Indulge in chocolate or whatever sweets you want. We all know how hard you worked for that physique — but truthfully, none of that matters.
And about last week’s question about the hair — keep it long if you like. But if it only brings bad energy and reminds you of how you outgrew it for Akina, then cut it. It doesn’t matter. We just want to see you happy again.

At the end of the day, I truly hope both Smart and Boom are somewhere quiet, surrounded by people who love and support them through everything life throws their way — just like I hope everyone here reading along has someone to talk to, whether online or face-to-face, because we all need that too šŸ¤

Until next week šŸ–¤šŸ’™šŸ©·āœØ

Smartboom Auralis

I’ve ended up splitting my views about everything that’s going on into two separate posts. This one is me looking at the situation from a work perspective.

So this isn’t me thinking out loud or taking sides, but rather what stands out from an outside, professional perspective — fully aware that once documentation is available, things and focus can shift.

———

It took me way longer to collect my thoughts, and it took me several attempts to write this. Truthfully, I was contemplating which direction to take and how much I wanted to share. Because I know that in a time like this, everything that gets posted is nitpicked and dissected. I’ve seen how fans’ words get twisted or taken out of context, and I honestly don’t want to add more fuel to what is already a very big fire.

So I considered only posting from a fan perspective. That said, I decided to share the work perspective as well. And for context, I used to work as a mediator, so for this I stepped back from my fan perspective and looked at this as if I saw it play out in the news before the case hit my desk — and before I had access to any documents. So this isn’t speculation, but rather what I would observe and take note of in order to eventually reach a settlement, fully aware that once documentation is available, things can change and focus can shift.

Nine months ago, everything went quiet after a rather heavy storm of public statements. And normally, after something like that, silence is a good sign. It usually means both sides realise things escalated too far and then move discussions behind closed doors. That’s when you later get a neutral ā€œwe’ve come to an understandingā€ type of statement.

What I didn’t expect is that apparently… that didn’t happen here.

Of course, it’s absolutely not unheard of that companies don’t resolve things quietly, but when they don’t, they are taking a fairly risky path.

I’m not even going to try and point fingers about who’s right or wrong, because in situations like this there are almost always mistakes on both sides. That’s just how these things go.

Objectively looking at it, this case doesn’t really read as ā€œone side is right and the other is wrong,ā€ even though both sides are trying to present that narrative. To me, it reads more like misaligned expectations, a breakdown in communication over control, and a loss of trust. And that kind of conflict often happens when agreements are either too vague or leave too much room for interpretation, so both sides end up believing they’re operating correctly — essentially reaching a point of ā€œI’m right and you’re wrong.ā€ And once you reach that mindset, it becomes very difficult to de-escalate and find common ground, especially when everything has already been played out publicly.

The WeTV announcement on Weibo was not random, nor do I think it was something planned only a few days prior. Because even though I’m not familiar with the Chinese legal system, these things usually take time — evidence has to be gathered and legal documents prepared before a case is accepted by the court.

But did they have to post it on social media? No, they definitely didn’t.
Was it strategic? To me, absolutely.

They used a very similar approach to what GIR did back in May last year, and from the outside it can certainly look like it caught the other side off guard. I do see it as a forceful move that could reflect frustration — GIR made the first public move then, and now WeTV did. That does not feel random to me. It reads as deliberate.

I also understand why GIR initially chose not to respond immediately, since they had not received any official documents from the court. These processes take time. That said, even a short public statement might have helped to stabilise the situation slightly.

When WeTV then, a few days later, published a follow-up statement — more carefully worded and clearly aimed at a broader audience — GIR responded quickly.

And I do understand why GIR reacted the way they did. From a PR and business perspective, I’ve seen this approach before. Silence can damage reputation, partners and investors get nervous, and in this situation fans start demanding answers. A press conference can help counter that. It can allow you to control the narrative, reassure stakeholders, and project confidence and control — and in this case also appeal to the human side of the situation.

But it’s also one of those moves where the reward is high and the risk is equally high.

And here it feels like the risk is exactly what played out. People immediately started comparing statements, digging up old clips, analysing wording — and suddenly you don’t just have a situation, you have fandoms acting like judges and juries, picking apart every detail. And to put that in the most diplomatic way — that is not ideal.

I’ve also seen people complaining that the press conference was ā€œscripted,ā€ and honestly — of course it was prepared. No one shows up to something like that and just wings it; that would be completely irresponsible.

That said, this press conference didn’t follow a word-for-word script, but there were clearly boundaries around what could and couldn’t be said, which is completely normal.

But one of the parts that honestly baffles me the most in all of this is still the nine-month gap.

Because if GIR’s statement is read literally, it suggests there may not have been communication during that time. And from a purely professional standpoint… that’s wild.

One side says, ā€œthis is over, we terminated.ā€
The other says, ā€œno, it’s still valid.ā€

That’s not a resolved situation. That’s the definition of an unresolved dispute.

And in business, you don’t assume something like that is done — you confirm it. You keep the dialogue going. Because if you don’t, you create exactly this: legal ambiguity that eventually turns into a lawsuit.

And lawsuits are the last place you want to end up. They’re expensive, time-consuming, and they carry a real risk of long-term reputational damage.

So the idea that there might not have been continued dialogue… that’s probably the part that surprises me the most.

And then there is Boom and Smart in all of this. Because while the companies are escalating, the two of them seem to be doing the opposite and actually de-escalating the situation. They did that nine months ago, and they seem to be doing it again now. I’m not even sure they are consciously aware of it, but both of them have handled that part remarkably well.

And coming back to the press conference — because this is really where it all ties together — one of the bigger problems is how it was positioned.

By placing Smart in the center and letting him lead with personal experience, the narrative shifts. It becomes emotional. It becomes personal. And it becomes harder to separate what is actually a legal and contractual dispute.

And the thing is, communication isn’t just what you say. Not saying something is also communication. And in something like a press conference, it’s not just the words — it’s the setup, the order, the tone… everything.

I’m not going to go into a full analysis of that, but one thing stood out to me immediately:

Smart should not have been placed in the middle of that press conference. And he definitely shouldn’t have been the first one to speak.

Because whether people want to admit it or not, that decision alone significantly shifts public perception.

At its core, this is a company vs company dispute.

But the moment you put him front and center, speaking emotionally about his experience, it becomes ā€œthis is about Smartā€ instead of ā€œthis is a contractual dispute.ā€

And that blurs everything.

He’s part of it, yes — especially since he’s named in the filing — but he’s not the one driving the conflict. He’s affected by it. And placing him in that position makes him the face of something that is fundamentally between two companies.

And I think that was one of the more problematic choices in how this was presented publicly.

From a strictly strategic standpoint, the safest move would have been something much more controlled — a short written statement, no detailed breakdown, no emotional framing.

So where are we now?

Basically, both sides have publicly gone with ā€œwe did everything rightā€ and ā€œthey were wrong,ā€ and have in many ways locked themselves into that position.

And that makes it harder later to compromise, settle, or quietly resolve things — because no one wants to lose face or damage their reputation.

That said, settlements are still possible. And hopefully, the current silence is, this time at least, actually a sign that negotiations have now moved behind closed doors.

Because I would still be very surprised if either side truly wants this to go all the way to court.

Even if a settlement were to favour WeTV, the time, resources, and potential reputational risks involved are significant. From the outside, it is hard to see how a settlement alone would outweigh those costs.

And for GIR, going to court is also risky — it’s a long and demanding process, with the added risk of losing investors or projects along the way if third parties become too uncertain of the outcome. Rebuilding both Smart’s and their own image could become costly.

And at the end of the day, this is still an outside perspective — without access to the actual documentation.

Because ultimately, the documents will define the case far more than the public narratives ever can.

Smartboom Auralis

I’ve ended up splitting my views about everything that’s going on into two separate posts. This part is me speaking purely as a fan.

If you’ve read my previous post, that was me trying to look at everything objectively. This is… not that.

I’ll also mark this as PG-13, since there is some swearing in the first part🫣 Let’s dive in!

———

For fuck’s sake, what an absolute fucking shit show this is! I genuinely cannot wrap my head around how this escalated to this point without some kind of agreement being reached earlier.

Sure, the thought did cross my mind — what if they didn’t manage to find common ground? Is that why we never got a settlement statement? But I pushed that thought so far away, because I didn’t want to believe that.

When Smart mentioned back in January that he had a new role — and with how careful and secretive he was about it, and how they’d been working on the script for months — I actually thought maybe it was a WeTV project, maybe that was the quiet way of showing things had been resolved.

…Yeah. That was laughably wrong šŸ™„

And then at the press conference, when Smart said ā€œwe talked a bit after that at firstā€ regarding Boom, my little SmartBoom fan heart just went straight to ā€œthis even broke them apartā€ 😩 — and that honestly hit hard.

But at the same time, I also know that — from a business perspective, and very likely a legal one as well — there is absolutely no way Smart could just come out and say something like ā€œyeah, we still talk every week.ā€ They’ve been restricted to such an extreme degree when it comes to acknowledging each other that even when fans tried to work around it with nicknames, it was shut down immediately from both sides. So realistically, that part isn’t something that can suddenly shift just because we want it to.

And I think that’s where a lot of the disconnect is right now — what we feel as fans and what is actually possible within this situation are so far from the same thing.

I’m also just… profoundly annoyed about how that press conference was set up. The fact that Smart was placed in the middle means that no matter what, most of the posts and clips circulating now focus on him. Not necessarily because everyone are ignoring the bigger picture, but because that’s how social media works — it centers what it sees first. And in this case, that was him. And honestly, I still haven’t processed that horrible live he did all those months ago, and now I have to process this chestfallen look from this as well for the next many months to come 😢

When I did the transcript of the press conference, I thought back to when Smart once said he wanted to do gaming livestreams, but couldn’t because of his language when he plays… and I get it. I really do. Because same! There is absolutely no way I could ever livestream myself while transcribing or subbing anything related to this situation — the profanities that came out of my mouth while typing were extreme🤬 And if I’m being honest, I don’t think that frustration has fully gone away yet.

Because honestly… fans — both solo fans and CP fans — have been asking for closure, for some kind of final statement, for nine months. Were they not listening? Did it not occur to them that ā€œOops, we probably haven’t closed this well enough… Maybe we need to do something about thatā€¦ā€

But honestly, not getting a statement, closure, or whatever people want to call it is also a completely feasible outcome. Both companies know the potential SmartBoom had — and truthfully, still has. So giving some kind of final closure statement could also make any possible return much harder later on, depending on how it was worded. And I think they want to keep that door slightly open because truthfully, the fact that SmartBoom still gets nominations, still wins screen projects, and even looked like they were landing in third place in the TBO voting is honestly insanely impressive considering the situation, and considering how many people have left or gone solo.

But now we’re right back in that same endless, frustrating loop, with all the noise.

People pushing their own version of the truth like it’s the only truth, telling others what to believe, who to support, who’s right and who’s wrong — which honestly is a bit ironic given the nature of the case — and confidently predicting outcomes without having seen a single document. And then there are the ones trying to give more ā€œfood for thought,ā€ and honestly I already have a full buffet going on, I do not need another plate šŸ˜…

I know many of you are shocked, concerned, in disbelief, or just at a loss for words and honestly… samešŸ˜“ Everywhere we look, the emotions are running high. There’s fear, frustration, sadness, and a lot of uncertainty, and people react differently to that. Some become more nervous, confrontational, or sensitive, some start searching for answers everywhere, and some… honestly seem to thrive a little too much in the chaosšŸ˜’

But I really hope that, at times, we can all take a step back, breathe, and try to look at things a bit more logically and objectively — just to find some clarity again. Because right now, everything just feels like it’s being pulled in ten different directions at once. We have all come so far, we are still here after 9 loooooooong months, and this really shouldn’t be what ends it all.

And then, in the middle of all of this, I genuinely appreciated Boom (with everything he’s going through) just casually asking fans whether his hair should be long or short on XšŸ˜… Because sometimes people really do need a small distraction — something normal — just to step away from all the tension and not get pulled further into the negativity. And honestly, some people really need to step off the hate train and focus on something else for a minute.

And just throwing it out there, but if Boom ever wants to make another random open-question post on X at a strategically perfect time, maybe he can do one about hair color too — blond or black? I promise I’ll log on to X to comment and even repost šŸ˜…

So where does that leave me, and this channel? Honestly, now that the dust has settled a little, not as far off from where I already was as it might seem.

A lot of what I said four months ago (after the WeTV Always More event) still holds true for me — I still believe they met each other at the right time, and I’m happy that Smart has explored his music more and is now getting back to acting. I’m happy for Boom that he has more acting projects lined up and is getting to try new things.

I still firmly believe that neither Smart nor Boom wanted this separation — and that if circumstances had allowed it, they would have continued together. I don’t believe we’ll see them together anytime soon (although I will always be happy to be proven wrong!šŸ¤ž), but I do believe that if the situation allowed it, there is still a willingness there to work together.

Truthfully, I didn’t choose the photo at random. I still genuinely believe they could have reached the stars — they could have been standing in that hall of fame. But for now, things went differently, and they’re looking in different directions, but that doesn’t mean they can’t reach that place one day.

What has changed for me is more internal than anything else.

I’m angry (in case you can’t tell šŸ˜…). And I’m frustrated that it escalated to this point. And I don’t actually want to sit in that feeling — but right now, it’s there.

I’m also not entirely sure what to do with that frustration now. Honestly, one of the reasons I left my old job was because I got too frustrated and irritated with the cases, and I didn’t want to become an angry person. So really, I need to find a way to let some of this go.

At this point, I don’t even know if I should take up boxing or try tai chi, because my brain feels like it’s trying to do both at the same time.

But one thing I am very clear on is this:

I will never be able to support one and not the other. For me, it has always been Smart & Boom — and it always will bešŸ¤

And if it ever comes to a point where I end up leaving (or moving on, as many people call it), then I’ll leave them both behind… and I guess that would also mean leaving this channel behind, but I am not there.

Today marks 1-year anniversary of Top Form airing and it genuinely warms my heart how many people are celebrating that and how Auralis is once again trendingā¤ļø

I’m still so very thankful for every single one of you who are here — whether to comment, reflect, or just quietly follow along. But if this is the moment you choose to step away, I understand. We really should protect our peace of mind and mental health because that will always be more important than any fandom.

Once again thank you for being here, no matter how long you stayed. I truly appreciate the time we shared šŸ–¤šŸ©µšŸ©·āœØ

SmartBoom Weekly Wrap-Up: The Scoop & The Stir šŸŽ¢ No. 28

This is by far the most difficult wrap-up I have had to write so far…

Shortly after the last weekly wrap-up was posted, Boom uploaded a photo clearly showing that he was back at the doctor regarding his mental health. While it’s reassuring to see that he is taking things seriously and seeking the help he needs, it still leaves a heavy feeling seeing how things have developed.

A little later, news broke that WeTV had filed a lawsuit against Smart, GIR, and a third party. The statement, which was written in Chinese and originally published on Weibo, sent shockwaves through both the Auralis and Syra fandoms. Auralis fans in particular still carry deep trauma connected to official statements, and both fandoms were understandably worried about what this might mean for Smart.

What made things even more confusing was that the statement mentioned breach of contract, while the actual court filing referenced an unfair competition dispute, which naturally left people wondering what exactly was going on behind the scenes. Of course, we still don’t know the full scope of it, and even in the post only the court’s acceptance was shown, so it’s impossible to know what else might be written in the filing.

Of course, the predictable hate posts were quick to surface, with a few people trying to stir up mass confusion, outrage, and panic. In the past, something like this might have sent the timelines into full meltdown mode — speculation trains, fighting in comment sections, and endless spiraling for days and days. But while the timelines were definitely a little hot and chaotic for a while, most fans actually handled it very differently this time around.

Some chose to send encouraging messages to Smart, while others filled the timelines with lighter and happier content instead. And some simply chose not to speculate further, since there is still so much we don’t know. Of course, uncertainty still hits hard — especially now that things had finally started to look like they might be turning into a good year for Smart. A statement like that will always shake people a little.

But nothing quite pulls the focus away from a situation like GIR’s management style.

Because while the timelines were still trying to process everything, the CEO of GIR decided to upload what can best be described as a ā€œfelt cute, might delete laterā€ group selfie.

And honestly, the timing of that IG story still baffles me — even a week later.

Because on one side you have a company issuing a strong legal statement — even if framed as PR — clearly standing their ground and announcing that the court has accepted their filing. And on the other side… a casual group selfie suddenly appearing right in the middle of it all.

And then, almost as if nothing had happened, everything continued as normal the very next day.

GIR released promotional posters for Smart’s upcoming single and music video. And this time, you have to give it to them — they hit the timeline perfectly. Many fans were ecstatic about the new look, and some even celebrated the return of the blond hair.

Smart also appeared briefly for an interview on the casting day for Last Trace with what is now called Grand Ivory Original. What role Smart might be auditioning for — and whether he ultimately lands a role in the series — only time will tell. This is without a doubt a new and big direction for GIR, and from the interviews that day, a lot of interesting candidates showed up to audition.

However, Smart later uploaded what might be his most solemn TikTok to date, clearly affected by everything.

Smart also seemed to spend some time on social media this week, watching SmartBoom edits. Whether it was to revisit happier moments, simply take it all in while everything feels uncertain, or perhaps out of a quiet fear that things might one day be gone — who really knows.

And if anyone thought WeTV might be wearing some big patience pants and not escalate things further… well, think again. Shortly after, they released official statements in both Thai and English on the 17th, followed by GIR responding with a press conference shortly after.

And just like that, the chaos and speculation that had initially been held back came rushing in all at once. It hit like a bullet train — full-on hate posts, fighting in comment sections, fans declaring their own interpretations as facts, and endless spiraling across the timelines.

(On a side note: Many of you have asked for my opinion on the press conference, and truthfully, I’m still trying to sort out my feelings in all of this. But I will gather my thoughts and make a separate post about it once it has settled a bit.)

Later in the evening, some of the focus briefly shifted when Boom appeared on a coworker’s IG post from a birthday celebration. And not long after that, Boom shared a story once again showing us some very delicious-looking food while enjoying his own company.

And honestly, at this point, I feel like he should just go all in on a cooking show — or maybe start a Raveewit guide across Thailand instead of the Michelin guide. I would absolutely love that kind of wholesome content right now.

The very next day turned into a big one for Smart with the release of his newest single and MV, "All Night". Shortly before it went live, Boom posted a photo series on IG titled BROKEN CROWN, finally once again holding his favorite drink in hand.

Smart released the MV to a lot of anticipation. Even though some fans were heavily hyping the song, the visuals, the looks, and everything surrounding it, the numbers haven’t reflected that energy so far — and with everything that’s going on, it does make sense.

At the same time, it’s been a while since I’ve seen this much delulu flying back and forth across the timelines. From Boom mentioning a crown, to Smart referencing a queen, to lyrics that reminded people of past interviews and moments from when they were still on-screen partners — every detail was being connected, analyzed, and reinterpreted in real time.

But even with all of that hype and speculation, the current view count sits at a little under 11.000 views — and there’s no way around it, this is a heavy hit.

And truthfully, it reflects something bigger.

Even now, in the middle of all the chaos and fighting, I still see posts from people who want to support SmartBoom — but aren’t sure if they’re even allowed to talk about them anymore. Some are still in shock, trying to process everything, while others feel like their words are being twisted and turned against them. And that may very well be some of the reasons why so many people have gone quiet.

Because it’s not just about what happened on the 17th. It’s about everything that has happened over the last few days — and, in many ways, everything that came before it. Old feelings have been brought back up. Frustration, sadness, confusion, even anger.

Right now, it feels like a lot of fans are simply taking a step back — trying to process, reset, and figure out where they stand.

Can they still believe in and support SmartBoom?
Will they choose to support only one going forward?
Or will they step away completely?

Whatever people decide, and whatever the future ends up bringing, one thing is clear:

These are, once again, difficult, exhausting, and very testing times. But even in all of this, some fans and fan clubs are still holding on and fighting hard — and 5 new screen projects have once again been announced, giving a small glimmer of hope in these heavy times.

Until next week šŸ–¤šŸ©µšŸ©·āœØ

Smartboom Auralis

A very quickly written full transcript of the press conference.

Since the transcript is too long for YouTube's allowed word limit I will post in 6 posts.

I wrote this on my way to work, and at work in a few breaks here and there. Adding subs like I usually do will take days, and I’m in no mood to battle YouTube’s editing program.

Truthfully, I’m absolutely livid — honestly boiling with rage. I have so many things I want to scream, but for now it’s probably best to just get through this horrible long workday so I can go for an extremely long walk in nature.

I think I once wrote in a comment somewhere that neither Smart, Boom, nor even all the fan fighting could make me leave. If I ever leave, it will be because of the companies — and honestly, I’m so furious that I’m dangerously close to slamming that door 😤🤬

So I won’t be checking in on this channel again until later tonight or tomorrow, when I’ve gathered my thoughts and yelled out every swear word in every language I know.

Until then ā¤ļø

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1/6

Interviewer: So, let’s go back again. Let’s start from what happened — please tell us from the beginning, what exactly happened.

Smart: For me, it was something that built up over time. It was about feelings, about problems that happened where I wanted them to be fixed — but they weren’t fixed. So it kept accumulating.

Interviewer: What kind of problems? Could you give an example?

Smart: Let me give one case. First, I have to say that when I work, I’m someone who gives my all. I’m fully committed, I put everything into it.
Then this case happened — I’ll give this example. At that time, I had diarrhea. It was another day where I had to go work with them, but I had food poisoning. I felt kind of half-asleep, half-awake. At that moment, I had really bad stomach pain, but I didn’t realize yet that it was food poisoning.
I was going in and out of the bathroom around three or four times. I felt like I had no strength left. Then everything went blank — I don’t even know when. The next time I became aware again, it was already the day of the job.
When I came to, it was already time for me to get ready to go work. So I called my manager and informed them about my condition, asked them to help update the team. Once they knew, they handled the work situation on site.
But after that, what happened was there was a document sent afterward asking me to sign it. I can’t go into details, but basically it was saying that if something like this happened again, I would have to take full responsibility.
Honestly, I didn’t want to be sick at all. It was really painful. No one wants to be sick. This was one case where I felt like… I didn’t feel any concern from them.
To sum it up simply, there were problems in the working relationship between me and them.

Interviewer: So that day, you didn’t go to the event, right?

Smart: Yes.

Interviewer: And what reason did they give before issuing the letter?

Smart: For me, the next thing I knew was that there was already a letter sent to us, telling me to sign it — like a warning letter. It came as an official document. There wasn’t a discussion beforehand, like calling me in to talk first. There had been some questioning back and forth about what happened, yes — but after that, the document just followed.
And even before that, the working conditions weren’t fair to me. There were many cases, not just one.

Interviewer: Are there other cases you can share?

Smart: Honestly, I’m a bit hesitant to talk too much because it might be related to legal matters. But examples would be… this case, and also another case where I worked —

Smart: There was also another job where I got sick while we were on set. I’d already been having symptoms since the morning, but I tried to endure it until the end of the day so there wouldn’t be any problems. But when it got to the night scene, the one filmed late at night, I felt like my body just couldn’t take it anymore. It was rejecting it, I really couldn’t go on anymore. I was shivering from the cold even though I was in Thailand, I felt so cold that I was trembling, I couldn’t work anymore. My voice was gone, it was hoarse, it had completely cracked, and I really couldn’t keep going. So I went to lie down in the van first. At first it was like, okay, I’ll go rest first, but it still wasn’t okay, so then I went to the hospital. And after I went to the hospital, this also became an issue afterward, like why did they let me go to the hospital. This was another case as well. How I felt was that they weren’t taking care of me, or they didn’t feel worried about me like that. Honestly, by nature, I’m not someone who asks for a lot, I don’t need constant care or people checking on me all the time, but just basic human feeling. Because I had been enduring it since the morning, working since the morning so the job could be completed and there wouldn’t be any problems, but my body really couldn’t take it. I truly did my best. But after I went to the hospital and came back, the feeling was like ā€œWho told you to go?ā€ ā€œWho gave you permission to go?ā€ And that was another case where I felt like… wow.

Interviewer: So for each incident that happened, did you clear things up first? Did you talk it through, explain what happened to them? Did they receive your explanation? Did they ask you about it or not?

Smart: For every problem, every case, we did talk with them all along, we kept trying to find a middle ground. There were a lot of issues, really a lot, I can say that clearly, there were many. For example, some problems, I didn’t even know myself that they were considered problems. And we talked almost constantly to try to find a middle point. I also wanted to keep things at that middle ground. This was from during filming all the way through promotions until the end. There were continuous problems the whole time, and we kept clearing things up along the way, but we still couldn’t find a middle ground.
