Pediatric Emergency Mom
My name is Ashley Saucier. I'm a board-certified physician in pediatrics and pediatric emergency medicine. My husband and I have 2 boys, ages 7 and 9. We also have 2 dogs and 1 guinea pig.
I started this channel to educate families on pediatric illnesses, injuries, and mental health, as well as preventative care. Every child should have access to solid pediatric care, regardless of their zip code. While I hope to one day lead the conversation bringing children to the forefront of healthcare priorities, this will not happen overnight. In the mean time, I can educate families on pediatric illnesses, injuries, mental health, and parental rights, in an effort to empower individual advocacy for children. YOU are your child’s strongest advocate!

This is a real issue and I’m thankful the WSJ is leading the discussion.
Children make up around 30 million ED visits annually. Of these, over 90% present to rural emergency departments. The vast majority of rural EDs are I’ll-prepared to treat children.
There are guidelines and programs available to get these departments up to speed in treating pediatric patients, but very few take advantage of the resources. Children are not little adults. They deserve better.

Hello and Happy Friday to all! These busy bees have been hard at work today, making more bath bombs. They started their business last week by playing with different recipes and figuring out what worked and what didn’t. This week, they went into formal production and sales. They set up a shop in front of our house to capitalize on the foot traffic in the afternoons/ evenings. It has really paid off so far!
They created their own business model, including sizes and pricing. I did encourage them to make everything the same price, but with different bundle options. Another fun addition- VENMO! Adding Venmo has been such a conversation starter. People love that option and appreciate the business savvy of 2 motivated little boys!
