Hello and a warm welcome to day 4 of Navratri series dedicated to the "NAVNIDHIS" of KUBERA.

In the Atharvaveda, where his name first appears and according to Shatapatha Brahmana scripture, Kubera is the chief of evil spirits or spirits of darkness. He is called the lord of thieves and criminals. He is the son of Vaishravana. It is in the later Manusmriti and the Puranas that he becomes a respectable and then worshipful god of the North.

Day 4 is dedicated to "Mukund Nidhi":Food grain

मुकुंद निधि
मुकुंद निधि में रजोगुण की प्रधानता रहती है इसलिए इसे राजसी स्वभाव वाली निधि कहा गया है। इस निधि से संपन्न व्यक्ति या साधक का मन भोगादि में लगा रहता है। यह निधि एक पीढ़ी बाद खत्म हो जाती है।

Hello and welcome to day 3 of Navratri series dedicated to the "NAVNIDHIS" of KUBERA.

Kubera was the ruler of Lanka, defeated by his step brother Ravana, left Lanka with all his riches (minus the Pushpaka Vimana) and ran to the Himalayas, where he created his own city “Alkapuri” near Kailas. Kubera, besides being the protector of the wealth of the Earth, was also the guardian of travelers who please him.

Day 3 is dedicated to "Neel Nidhi": Sapphire


नील निधि
नील निधि में सत्व और रज गुण दोनों ही मिश्रित होते हैं। ऐसी निधि व्यापार द्वारा ही प्राप्त होती है इसलिए इस निधि से संपन्न व्यक्ति में दोनों ही गुणों की प्रधानता रहती है। इस निधि का प्रभाव तीन पीढ़ियों तक ही रहता है।

Hello and welcome to day 2 of Navratri series dedicated to the "NAVNIDHIS" of KUBERA.

Kubera is believed to be the son of sage Vishrava who also fathered Ravana ( Kubera's step brother). Kubera was conferred immortality and all the riches of the world (Nidhis) by Lord Brahma . He also awarded him Pushpaka viman, a spectacular gigantic aerial vehicle that would transport him anywhere at a speed willed by him.

Day 2 is dedicated to "Maha Padma": Great lotus flower

महापद्म निधि भी पद्म निधि की तरह सात्विक है। हालांकि इसका प्रभाव 7 पीढ़ियों के बाद नहीं रहता। इस निधि से संपन्न व्यक्ति भी दानी होता है और 7 पीढियों तक सुख ऐश्वर्य भोगता है।

Hello and welcome to my Navratri series. This series is dedicated to the "NAVNIDHIS" of KUBERA. This Navratri I will be introducing you to each Nidhi on each day.

Kubera, in Hindu mythology, the king of the yakshas (nature spirits) and the god of wealth. He is associated with the earth, mountains, all treasures such as minerals and jewels that lie underground, and riches in general. He is known as the treasurer of the God who showers riches on those who worship him with utmost devotion.
In the context of Hindu mythology, Nidhi, that is, a treasure, constituted of nine treasures (nav nidhi) belonging to Kubera, the god of wealth.

Day 1 is dedicated to "Padma": Lotus/ a Himalayan lake with treasures.

पद्म निधि के लक्षणों से संपन्न मनुष्य सात्विक गुण युक्त होता है, तो उसकी कमाई गई संपदा भी सात्विक होती है। सात्विक तरीके से कमाई गई संपदा से कई पीढ़ियों को धन-धान्य की कमी नहीं रहती है। ऐसे व्यक्ति सोने-चांदी रत्नों से संपन्न होते हैं और उदारता से दान भी करते हैं।
