Episode 4 of Luxury Trains Around the World – Season 1 is officially out 💛

This one takes us across New Zealand by train — Wellington to Auckland — with barista-made flat whites, hot towels, viaduct squeals, a volcano reveal, and a very special Scenic Plus surprise for my mum and aunties.

After travelling on luxury trains all around the world, coming home and sharing this journey with family ended up being one of the most meaningful episodes of the entire season. It’s not the flashiest train we’ve ridden… but it might just be the one that made me feel the proudest to be a Kiwi 🇳🇿

This journey takes us onboard the Northern Explorer, travelling through the very heart of my own back yard, New Zealand — past rivers, mountains, farmland, and long quiet stretches where the scenery does all the talking.

We’re also joined by a very familiar face (Mummy is back 💛), plus two new faces you haven’t met before — my aunties. Sharing this calm, scenic journey together made it feel extra special.

One of the most iconic train journeys in the world 🇦🇺🚂

Riding The Ghan has been on our bucket list for years — and finally experiencing it was every bit as powerful, slow, and unforgettable as we hoped. In fact, this was Ludvig's number one dream train!!!

Days blur into nights.
Red desert stretches endlessly outside the windows.
Long meals, quiet moments, and that rare feeling of being completely disconnected from everything else... but with barista made coffee any time you fancy...

This journey isn’t just about getting from A to B — it’s about the vastness of Australia, the stories along the way, and letting the landscape set the pace.

This was where our Luxury Trains Around the World series began 🚆

We travelled across Vietnam onboard SJourney — and it was so much more than just a train ride.
Along the way we painted traditional hats, made lanterns, cooked Vietnamese dishes, carved wood, bounced around in jeeps, and slowly watched the country unfold outside the windows.

It was immersive, thoughtful, a little bit chaotic in the best way — and genuinely one of the most special journeys we’ve ever done.

Took Mum & Dad on the fanciest train of their lives 🚂🥂 Ahhhhhhhh! (excited noise).
They’d never experienced anything like this before — and watching their faces as we stepped onboard the British Pullman was honestly one of my favourite moments ever.

From vintage 1920s carriages to long brunches, champagne, and that feeling of slow, elegant travel… this journey completely blew us away.
