🏔️Switzerland is eye WATERINGLY expensive. So I leave Ludvig at the hotel and take the only ticket we can afford - solo - up to the highest railway station in Europe.

The Eiger Express gondola.
A cogwheel train.
3,454 metres above sea level.
And an emergency banana that does not survive the journey.

Is CHF 211 a lot of money for a day trip up a mountain and back? Yes.

Do I buy Ludvig heart shaped apology chocolate at the summit? Obviously.

Reading through all of your comments on my recent video this week has genuinely been one of the loveliest things. Thank you, my friends!!

I’ll be honest... even looking back on it now, although I always felt safe, the whole experience still felt a little crazy and unnerving.

During the journey, I felt a little lost... Like I was never completely sure what the right move was at any given moment. I hadn't ever been in that situation before. It was all so new.

Should I speak up? Should I stay quiet?

Especially with the party crowd on that first train, I kept thinking: am I putting myself in an unnecessary situation here?

Then, on the second train in particular, I was genuinely trying to understand the culture.

I found myself wondering: is it completely out of place for me to politely ask this man to stop playing loud videos while I’m trying to sleep at 3am?

Because I am a very, VERY tactful and polite person.

But I can also be rather firm when I need to be.

Just ask Ludvig 😂

In that situation, though, I didn’t feel like I understood what was considered “normal” yet, so I said nothing.

Reading all of your comments afterwards gave me this enormous wave of support.

It suddenly felt like I wasn’t alone at all. Like you were all right there in the cabin with me, thinking the exact same things I was thinking.

Rolling your eyes at Speedo Guy too 🙄

So thank you. Truly.

Because even though I’m travelling solo in so many of these videos, I’m not actually alone.

Not even a little bit.

End of the Line is literally SO MUCH FUN to make. 🤣🚂 And I've literally only posted one episode! Hahaha

I am in actual heaven right now.

I have about 32 incredible episodes already on my wishlist for future seasons... but I've got a sneaky suspicion you lot know about some absolutely brilliant "end of the line" journeys that I've never even heard of.

For example, someone mentioned in the comments this week that the train to Broken Hill in Australia is the end of the NSW CountryLink line... and I had absolutely no idea! 🤯

So... added to to the list!! (even though Ludvig and I have technically visited very briefly during our Indian Pacific journey)

If you know of a train that goes somewhere wonderfully remote, unexpected, quirky, beautiful, or simply feels like you've reached the edge of the world, the end of the train tracks, or a reeeeally remote place you can only really reach by rail...

🎉 Special mid week video this week! Woohoooooooo!

You may have spotted little snippets of a certain cruise... featuring a certain family member. 👀🚢

Well... it's going live tomorrow!

After surprising my brother with one of the world's longest train journeys for his very first sleeper train, he got food poisoning literally just before we boarded. Instead of enjoying the dining car and all the amazing food, he spent the first 24 hours being horribly sick in a tiny train bathroom which, just to make things even better, later stopped working altogether because our carriage had a blockage for the last few days of the journey. Add in the motion of the train, 100+ strangers, and what was supposed to be a 96 hour journey stretching to 105 hours because of delays... it wasn't exactly the dream introduction to train travel. 😂

Oh... and somewhere along the way, a grandma told us off for doing a jigsaw puzzle the wrong way.

Despite all that, we somehow ended up having the cosiest little adventure together. And I think he actually enjoyed it...? Maybe. You'll have to ask him. 😅

At the end of that trip, I promised him I'd make it up to him one day with a cruise instead.

Well... one year later, I actually got the chance to keep that promise.

So I took him on MSC Poesia's during the ships very Alaska season, aaaaand I have a sneaking suspicion this holiday might have gone a little better than the train. 😆🐋🏔️

The Spirit of the Outback dining car... for those who haven't watched Sunday's episode yet. 🚂🍽️

I ordered barramundi - a popular fish in Australia - which, in hindsight, felt like a very odd choice considering we were 26 hours into the Australian outback... about as far from the ocean as you can get. 😂

And yet... it was deeeeeelicious.

So. A new series begins tomorrow.

End of the Line (Season 1). And I am very excited. Like dancing around the house and Ludvig's wondering what's happened kind of excited.

First episode is 'The Spirit of the Outback'. A 26 hour train that travels deep into the Australian Outback with a very unique town waiting at the end of it. I CAN'T wait to share.

🚆 Well... after spending an embarrassingly long time ranking every sleeper train I've ever travelled on... 😅

A few of you have already asked if I'd ever do the same for day trains.

The only slight problem is... I've been on A LOT of day trains. 😂 It would be an absolutely huge project, so it'd definitely be more of a "maybe next year's Chloé creates another ridiculous spreadsheet" kind of video.

So I'm curious...

If I tackled it one day, would you actually watch it? 👀
