The unspoken rule of adulthood dictates that creativity must be commercialized to be worthwhile, authentic expression is rebranded as attention-seeking, and the older you grow, the more invisible you MUST become. The childhood joy of dressing up transforms into a source of judgment. If you dress with sparkles and glitz, then you're vain. If you dress alternatively, then you're a freak or asking for attention. But who decided that expression through clothing should stop at childhood? And who is the “they” that people so fear when it comes to criticism?



Well, consider this your permission slip to play! To refuse to let fear, age or opinions dull your shine! As for me, my style may change over time, but I fully intend to be the expressive and creative person God created me to be well into my glamorous old age. How about you? 😊
