I had to delete my video essay on Taste of Cherry and reupload it using only still images. Soon after, my video essay on No Smoking received a copyright claim, forcing me to take that down as well.

This is exactly why I have been hesitant to upload more long-form video essays. These videos demand a lot of time, emotional energy, and creative focus. When something you build with that much care gets taken down, it is genuinely discouraging.

I want to hear directly from you. How would you like me to upload these video essays going forward?

One option is to rely entirely on images instead of film footage. That solves the copyright issue, but I feel it may dilute the cinematic experience and reduce engagement.

What do you think is the right balance here? Your feedback matters. Share your thoughts in the comments.

I’ve been getting a lot of comments asking me to post more long-form videos, especially on cinema. Sabse pehle, thank you so much — really appreciate that you find my content worth your time.

Agar long videos ki baat karu toh main koshish karunga ki har week at least ek long video zarur upload ho. Right now, focus zyada short-form content par hai kyunki usme effort kam hai aur returns thode better mil jaate hain. But I completely agree, jo maza long videos me hai wo shorts me kabhi nahi hota (and honestly, I also prefer long-form myself).

Since I don’t have any editor or team, sab kuch mujhe hi manage karna padta hai along with other work I do to sustain myself. Agar koi editor interested ho, toh please connect karo.

Rest assured, I’ll be more consistent here — har week ek long video zarur aayegi, and I’ll also keep you posted about everything.
