A little life update:


Work has been crazy busy editing wedding films before the holiday. Reading has been slow. I really wanted to get a video out before the new year but there just wasn’t enough time. I’ve been taking this time to be present with friends and family. Celebrating the holidays with our many traditions. We picked out a tree. Looked at Christmas lights. Watched many holiday films. Finished a winter puzzle. Enjoy going winterfest in Fortnite. All the while sipped on some wonderful seasonal coffee.

I’m loving every single page and every single word of Lonesome Dove and I’m still barley 300 pages in. I’m not in a race or a competition. I don’t want to rush this. I want to savor it. This journey is truly one of a kind.

I hope all of you are having a wonderful holiday season with friends and family. Taking it slow and savoring every moment of life.

I cannot wait to return next year with some more videos and conversations. I’ve missed our community and our discussions greatly.

It's been about a week since I last picked up Lonesome Dove. But even when I have it sitting on my nightstand for days at a time, not a day goes by where I'm not thinking about it. Never has a book pulled me in like this one. This is truly a once in a life time read. And I am happy I am taking my sweet sweet time.

My wife and I have been sick this past week and now we are working hard at catching up on our editing backlog before the holidays. I have not forgotten about this lovely community. I will be back soon with many thoughts and many conversations to share.

I hope everyone has a wonderful week and a wonderful time with their families during Thanksgiving. For me and my family, Thanksgiving isn't just a holiday. It's a daily attitude. So I want to ask what are you thankful for? Not only during this holiday but what are you thankful for on a daily basis?

A little life update. I’m quite busy editing the many wedding films from this year. I never like to rush my work. Same goes with my reading. Same goes with the videos I post on YouTube. I never want to rush it. I want to be intentional and honest with everything I do in life.

I’m not reading much. But when I do pick up my book, I’m in love. With every single word. Every single moment. And every single character. Though I’m only 120 pages into Lonesome Dove, I know this book was made for me. This is the one. It’s truly special.

Due to my busy work schedule and future travels there will be no videos or livestreams this week. I appreciate your love and support and patience. You have no idea how much it all means.

CHANNEL + LIFE UPDATE

Good morning everyone! I just went on a wonderful sunrise walk with a cup of coffee. I hope everyone is doing well.

I wanted to give an official update on the book club. I originally had a book picked out or voted on for for every month. Then we would have a livestream and talk about that book. However due to my life getting quite busy with work and family, I just won’t be able to host this book club right now.

I want to be present with each book club book. I want to be active in every livestream discussion we have regarding that book. I never want to do anything half hearted. That wouldn’t be honest. So for now let’s press pause on the book club.

I do have an idea, whenever I say what book I’m reading, you can always join in on that. Grab that book and join me for a read along. But of course that is not obligated. I want you to continue to read what you want when you want. And have fun doing it!

Lastly, I’m on the homestretch of my wedding season. Weddings are filmed but must be crafted and edited. (You can follow my wedding work ‪@romanhowellfilms‬. I take my time on these and want to ensure they are perfect for the couples that have entrusted me with this great honor. That being said, I’m only able to get one booktube video out per week. Usually on a Friday.

In a perfect world I’d love a Monday, Wednesday, Friday upload schedule but I know I won’t be able to be consistent with that. So that being said, I have another fun idea. I love uploading on a Friday. But what about the rest of the week? How about a weekly livestream hangout? That sounds pretty fun to me! Im thinking Wednesday’s.

I’m sorry to those who really were engaged with our bookclub and I thank you for your understanding. It will return when the time is right.

I wanted to get a video out this Friday but there is just no time. Taking the weekend off for family time, to film a wedding, and enjoy the launch of battlefield 6 (haven’t been this excited for a multiplayer game in awhile).
