I started the Gunslinger yesterday. Here are my initial thoughts:

It’s unlike anything I’ve read of King’s. Dark. Desolate. Lonely. It feels ancient yet familiar. The language and tone is dry. It reminds me of Cormac McCarthy.

And the ambiguity! It’s the most ambiguous I’ve ever seen King and I love it.
