Dr. Sean McDowell is a professor at Talbot School of Theology, Biola University. On this channel he tackles some of the biggest questions about God, morality, and contemporary culture. Visit www.seanmcdowell.org for more posts and info.
I'm streaming Tuesday with Dr. Erik Thoennes at 4:30. Send us some theological, ethical and apologetics questions and we'll try to answer those to start the stream!
QUESTION: Are you guys liking the livestreams? What could I do better please respond in the comments or give more suggestions on how I could improve it!
We're having Thaddeus Williams on tomorrow at 4:30 PT to answer questions about theology, apologetics, and worldview. Send in a few questions below and we might get started with yours! youtube.com/live/ak3kagp2j0E
What are your toughest Qs about God, the Bible, and other religions? Bring ‘em tomorrow as I’m going LIVE with Talbot professor Thaddeus Williams 4:30 PST.
Would you guys be interested in a chapter by chapter deep dive (with an apologetics angle) on John with some Biola Professors? Also, let me know if you have suggestions on how to frame that or specific questions you'd want answered in the comments below!
There's been a lot of convo about this that past few weeks. So, I joined three other Biola/Talbot profs to give my perspective. We're not addressing specific concerns, which are largely out of our hands, but our experience over whether or not Biola is drifting left. The Biola administration is addressing specific issues soon. Here's the link, if you're interested:
The discussion between John West and Mike Licona on inerrancy turned out longer than I had hoped, so I asked my team to trim only the beginning of both sides and start right where the dialogue on the issue at hand begins. Inadvertently, it cut out some of John's framing of this issue and also how Mike discussed the strained harmonization of Lindsell who suggests 6 denials of Jesus. John referred to this later, but since that part was cut, his point was misunderstood.
Also, John went out of his way to indicate that he does not think Mike's position is as concerning as, for example, Francis Collins. As indicated in this dialogue, John does have considerable concerns, but he went out of his way to refer to Mike as a brother and to say that he doesn't consider his position as concerning. Sorry, John, that should not have been cut.
This one is my bad. I will totally own it. I was hoping to bring people right into the dialogue, but ended up chopping important context. I truly aim to be fair in these dialogues, but dropped the ball on this one. It won't happen again!
It is not possible to edit YouTube and bring that opening segment back in, unfortunately. But, if Mike or John post something and clarify, I will link to it here and share on X.

IMPORTANT CLARIFICATION:
I blew it! Let me explain why.
