The Canucks announced on Thursday that the 2023 training camp would take place in Victoria from September 21st-25th. JPat explains why he likes Victoria as a host, but wonders why the city of Kelowna has yet to be picked as a host of the annual camp. The boys also go over the start of the World Hockey Championship, as Canada faced Latvia to kickoff the tourney, while speculating what JT Miller will shoot at US Open regional qualifying this coming Monday.

The day after the NHL Draft Lottery where once again the Canucks had no luck, JPat and Wadden unpack what the Canucks should be looking for with the 11th overall pick, while debating whether or not the Blackhawks should have been awarded the shot to win the lottery. The boys also chat about Vancouver getting fined $50K for off-season workouts with the coaches and players, while parsing through some of the best 11th overall picks in NHL draft history.

With the NHL Draft Lottery tonight JPat and Wadden go over the Canucks odds of landing the top pick in the draft. They spin the Draft Lottery Simulator for one last time. The boys also go over what they heard from Vancouver's 2022 first round pick Jonathan Lekkerimäki, who met with the media via Zoom on Monday a couple days after signing an entry level contract with the Canucks. They also chat about the Abbotsford Canucks who flamed out of the Calder Cup playoffs after losing to Calgary in game 4 of the series on Friday night.

The Abbotsford Canucks won game 3 of the Pacific Division semi-finals versus the Calgary Wranglers by a 3-2 score, which extended the series for at least another game. JPat was in Abby to take in the game on Wednesday night and gives his insight to how the baby Canucks looked versus the AHL's best team, and telle us what the playoff atmosphere was like in the Fraser Valley. The boys also go over the finalists for the Calder Trophy, while giving another spin of the NHL Draft Lottery Simulator.

One week from today the Canucks will find out what draft position they'll land in when the NHL Draft Lottery takes place, so JPat and Wadden decided that today is the day to fire up the draft lottery simulator. The boys will rotate each day this week taking one spin of the wheel to see just where Vancouver's luck will land. Today's winner will surprise many, and perhaps give Canucks fans some hope. 

The lads also go over game 2 of the Abbotsford Canucks and Calgary Wranglers second round Calder Cup playoffs series, while discussing Vancouver's prospect pool being ranked 28th overall in the NHL according to Hockey Prospecting dot com.
