I’m a Black welder, entrepreneur, and artist who went from serving 10 years in Arkansas State Prison to building a career, a business, and a brand in the welding industry. Here you’ll see my start-up grind, my growth, my flaws, and the hustle it takes to turn skill into independence.
From RV tips that went viral, to welding business strategies, to raw conversations about life after incarceration—this channel documents the real path to freedom through skill.
H.O.G.O.N. means Hustling Over Grounded Obstacles Naturally—and that’s the code I live by. My mission is to inspire welders, hustlers, students, and anyone who’s been told there’s no way forward. There is. Welding can be that way.

🔥 AS A MAN GETS OLDER, HIS DEFINITION OF A GOOD WOMAN CHANGES!
When I was younger, I can admit I was attracted to women because of how they looked, how they dressed, and how I thought they would look standing next to me.
But life has a funny way of teaching you what really matters.
As a man, you eventually realize there’s a difference between a woman who loves you and a woman who knows how to love you, nurture you, and build with you.
I’m talking about a real HELPMATE!
A woman who notices when you’re tired. When you’re sick, she’s concerned about your health. When money gets tight, she’s figuring out ways to stretch a dollar instead of figuring out where y’all going to spend another hundred.
A woman who knows how to turn groceries into meals, make a house feel like home, save money, find resources, and create peace instead of adding more pressure.
And understand, this isn’t about making a woman your maid. A man should be bringing those same qualities of love, protection, care, responsibility, and support into her life.
It’s about TWO PEOPLE making each other’s lives better!
I remember hearing an older man compare choosing a partner to hiring someone for an important position. Would you choose someone strictly because they look good, without considering their experience, character, work ethic, or willingness to learn?
That made more sense to me as I got older.
Because beauty may attract you, but character determines what you can build together.
Some people want the relationship, the vacations, the restaurants, the nice cars, the pictures, and the lifestyle. But who’s thinking about the savings account? The household? The investments? The future?
You can’t keep spending tomorrow’s security trying to impress people today!
And I’m not saying we can’t enjoy ourselves. I love having a good time too! 😂 But every moment of happiness doesn’t have to come with a receipt.
At this stage in my life, I’m not looking for somebody who’s simply excited about what I can provide.
I’m looking at what we can create, protect, and accomplish TOGETHER.
Because dating for pleasure and choosing a partner to build a legacy are two completely different decisions.
And that’s something age, experience, and a few expensive lessons will teach you! 😂🔥
