One of the programs under the lifestyle area of health at the Inside Awareness Center for Integrative Somatic Learning is Awareness through Eating. An area in food planning that Renee has devoted time to since 2018 is sprouting, culturing and fermenting foods. This has included culturing kefir, sourdough and fermenting sauerkraut. This includes making food remedies like firestarter to boost the immune system and making her own yogurt. Outside the dairy and fermenting, another dynamic she included in this exploration was to learn about what was growing within a block or two radius from her home that are classified as edibles. This of course, included her own gardening. This link is to webpages that have been developed for educational purposes to support learning in general and for her programs at the center mentioned above. There is another Facebook page called Awareness through Eating that is like a video journal of her adventures since beginning the page, and the go to for ongoing posts that she hopes are light, fun and informative. Another focus she has had, began in the garden, is identifying chakra foods. It started with creating landscaping designs for a Chakra garden layout and expanding into food planning. She wrote a book that was an introduction to this link 2024 and now that a rhythm has been created in her own kitchen for integrating the sourdough and making bread from scratch along with separating out the liquid whey from kefir to make cheese and other recipes, and find interesting uses for whey, she is ready to combine the chakra foods to the news she shares of this facebook page. There are also posts on these web pages that state what the Chakras categories the foods she writes about are in. This will be expanded upon as 2026 hits. I hope you will like and subscribe to these pages to stay on top of the tips and news she shares. Please know that she only shares what she is working on, has tried and found success, and had failures with. It's for a somatic experience that supports her educational focus for the learning center she founded. #Awarenessthrougheating, #Awarenessthroughhealth, #insideawarenesscenterforintegrativesomaticlearning, #reneelindstrom awarenessthrougheating.wordpress.com/

Just posted new audio on podcast today - Cancellation Culture from a Self-Actualization Perspective
Have you ever had another person close to you cancel every idea, thought or opinion you shared by brushing you off, correcting you or being an authority on the topic of which they've never investigated themselves? They may have heard or read some post, article or book on it yet never dived deeper into experiencing it for themselves. Listen to more on pod cast link

My son advised me to try baking sourdough on a stone. It turned into a great suggestion. It was fantastic. The bread crust was crunchy and perfection! Being curious has its benefits.

There was a picture on Facebook recently that had a no-sugar oatmeal loaf. I thought after the cheesecake and its sugar, I would attempt it. I couldn't find the picture on the feed, so I faked it and put random ingredients together, and baked it. It is actually pretty good. I believe anyone creative will agree, that when you're in the flow, it is hard to stop and make healthy meals or snacks. This can be a snack or meal replacement, at least for me, in those moments when I would skip eating to continue with the flow in the moment. I used oats, dried cranberries, seasonal backyard apples, pumpkin and sesame seeds, carrots and topped with chia seeds. The wet ingredients used was kefir and kefir whey. Good way to use some up. I enjoyed the taste. It worked! I put it in a 350 degree oven and took it out after 45 minutes. I was curious about the loss of nutrition in the kefir and whey. Looking it up, I learned the minerals and vitamins would still be present. It would be the probiotics that would be lost to heat. Apparently, the postbiotic would still be present. After reading some of the facts, now I will bake it at a lower heat next time for a longer period to test that out. #funwithfood, #healthsnacks,#foodplanning, #awarenessthrougheating

I smile as I share this post and how the bread fell flat, which mimics expectations. When we have an expectations I experience it falls as flat as my sourdough, yet it's still good inside anyhow!
