SPRING AWAKENING opened today in 2006 at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre! With music by Duncan Sheik and book and lyrics by Steven Sater, SPRING AWAKENING was a rock phenomenon that ran for 859 performances (and 28 previews) on Broadway and was nominated for 11 Tony Awards, winning 8, including Best Musical. On our timeline, you can spot artifacts from the making of SPRING AWAKENING, including original lyric drafts Steven faxed to Duncan, costume sketches, and concept art.
